Donts
This steam cleaner is intended for household use only and NOT for commercial or industrial use.
Only use the steamer indoors and keep the area you’re cleaning well lit.
Keep ngers, hair and loose clothing away from moving parts and openings whilst using the steamer.
This appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Dont touch any hot areas/accessories on the steamer. It’s normal for the steamer and accessories to heat up during use, always turn o and allow them to cool down before handling or changing.
Dont use on windows with extreme outside temperatures to avoid stressing the glass surface. Excessive temperature dierences between the glass window and the steam can break the window.
Dont leave the steamer plugged in when unattended.
Dont use the steamer if it has been dropped, damaged, immersed in water or left outdoors.

Do’s
Always stand the steamer using the wall bracket or securely against a wall/xed structure, alternatively lie at on the oor in a suitable location so it does not become a trip hazard or can be stepped on.
Always ll the twin tank with water/Vax detergent only as per the instructions in this user guide, never add perfume, stain remover or products containing alcohol.
Always vacuum your carpets thoroughly and make sure hard oor areas are free from grit and debris before using the steamer.
Always unplug the steamer before carrying out any maintenance.
Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
Please refer to oor/surface manufacture’s care recommendations before use, and test your ooring/carpet/rugs/surfaces by running the steamer over a small hidden area. If no pile distortion or damage occurs continue cleaning. Not suitable for use on wax polished oors or furniture, acrylic surfaces and synthetics, velvet or steam/water sensitive materials.
This steamer should not be used to clean electrical appliances such as microwaves, televisions, electrical heating systems, etc.
Only Vax recommended accessories and detergent should be used with the steamer.
Dont handle the plug or use the steamer with wet hands.
Dont pull or carry the steamer by the power cord. Dont use the power cord as a handle, pull the power cord around corners and sharp edges or close a door over the power cord. Dont unplug steamer by pulling on the power cord.
Dont attempt to remove blockages with sharp objects as this may cause damage to the steamer, remove blockages only as instructed in this guide.
Dont aim the steamer at people, animals, plants or electrical components such as interior of ovens or wires. Never touch the steam jet or accessories (there is a risk of scalding).
Dont use the steamer with incorrect voltage as this may result in damage or injury to the user. The correct voltage is listed on the rating label.
Always replace the fuse in the plug with a British 13amp fuse. Always protect the power cord from heated surfaces or near open ames.
Use only CE approved 13amp extension cords, non-approved extension cords may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the extension cord as it could be a trip hazard.
Always carry the steamer by the handle.
Store the steamer in a cool, dry area. Before storing the steamer please ensure the twin tank is thoroughly clean and dry.

Getting started
Before you Begin CAUTION: The steamer and accessories get very hot during use, always allow them to cool down before handling, or changing to
handheld or reach wand mode. Always switch o and unplug the steamer when assembling. Always switch o the steamer before emptying the twin tank or changing the cloths/accessories.
CAUTION: This steamer is not free standing, always stand using the wall bracket or securely against a wall/xed structure, alternatively lie the steamer at on the oor in a suitable location so it does not become a trip hazard or can be stepped on.
IMPORTANT: Please refer to oor/surface manufacturer’s care recommendations before use and test the steamer on a hidden area to begin with. Test for colour fastness in a small hidden area of upholstery/fabric to check for colour removal before use. When using the steamer, basic safety precautions should always be observed. Dont aim the steamer at people, animals, plants, and electrical components or wires. Never touch the steam jet or oorhead from a short distance (there is a risk of scalding). The steamer is equipped with a thermostat and a thermal cut-out. If for any reason the steamer overheats it will switch o. If this happens switch o and unplug the steamer, allow to cool for a least 2 to 4 hours and re-try.
Assembling the steamer
Push the steam reach wand down into the oorhead until it clicks into place.
Push the handheld down onto the steam reach wand until it clicks into place.
Fixing the wall bracket
The wall bracket can be xed against the wall by either adhesive strips or screw
The steamer is not free standing and must always be stood either in the wall bracket or safely and securely against a wall or xed structure when not in use.
Getting started
Fixing the wall bracket with adhesive strip
Fully assemble the unit and position it against the wall where it will be stored.
Stand the unit close and upright against the wall.
Remove the adhesive cover.
Firmly press the handheld and wall storage clip to x the wall storage clip to the wall in the correct place.
Fixing the wall bracket with screws
Fully assemble the unit and position it against the wall where it will be stored.
Attach the wall bracket to the handle.
Attach the wall bracket to the handle.
Using one of the supplied screws, screw the wall bracket to the wall using the top screw hole.
Carefully remove the unit from the wall bracket and use the other screw to secure the wall bracket to the wall.
Using your machine
IMPORTANT: Always test on an inconspicuous area of ooring rst before using detergent. Dont over ll the clean twin tanks or exceed the maximum amount required. Dont use the steamer without water in the water tank. Always top up with water in good time. CAUTION: This steamer is not free standing, when lling or carrying out any maintenance always stand securely against a wall/ xed structure or lie the steamer at on the oor in a suitable location so it does not become a trip hazard or can be stepped on.
Filling the twin tank
Press the twin tank release button down, grip the twin tank and pull to remove.
Grip the twin tank and pull the tab on the detergent tank cap to open.
Grip the twin tank and pull the tab on the water tank cap to open.
Fill the detergent tank up to the ll line with water and top up with detergent replace the cap and push rmly to close.
Fill the water tank with water. Replace the cap and push rmly to close.
Before replacing the twin tank make sure the hard water lter is in place.
Line up the lip on the base of twin tank with the main body. Push in a hinge like manner to click into place.
IMPORTANT: If the twin tank is not tted correctly there will be a reduction in the amount of steam/ detergent produced.
Using your machine
Using the oor steamer
IMPORTANT: Never use the steam mop without a microbre cleaning pad attached to the oorhead. Never leave the steam mop in one spot for an extended period of time or with a damp or wet microbre pad attached
as this may damage the oor surface. CAUTION: This steamer is not free standing, always stand using the wall bracket or securely against a wall/xed structure
alternatively, lie the steamer at on the oor in a suitable location so it does not become a trip hazard or can be stepped on.
Place the microbre pad on the oor white side facing up. Place the oorhead onto microbre pad making sure the microbre pad covers the entire oorhead.
Press the button in the centre of the control panel to select steam and detergent setting. The light will illuminate at the desired setting:
Plug the steamer into mains power supply and slide the On/O switch to “On”.
Pull handle backwards to recline.
The orange light will illuminate to indicate power on.
To produce steam squeeze the trigger in short bursts. Dont hold the trigger continuously to prevent over wetting oors.
STEAM FUNCTIONS
.. High Steam . Low Steam .. High Steam and Detergent . Low Steam and Detergent
The green light will illuminate to indicate the steamer is ready to use. The steamer will automatically set to Max steam (no detergent).
Move the steamer slowly forwards and backwards across the oor paying particular attention to high trac areas. Squeeze/release trigger to release steam as required.
When the steamer is switched on the control panel will automatically set to max steam (no detergent).
TIP
Using your machine
For more concentrated steam use the steam boost. For best results use max steam + detergent setting. Press the steam boost button on the oorhead to activate. Squeeze the trigger to release steam. Press the steam boost button to switch o.
CAUTION: The steamer and accessories get very hot during use, always allow them to cool down before handling.
After cleaning, switch o and unplug the steamer. Allow the steamer to cool down. Hold the corner of the microbre pad down with your foot and lift steamer to peel away.
Using the oor steamer with the Compact Scrub Brush
Place foot on outer oorhead and lift steamer to release the compact scrub brush.
To produce steam squeeze the trigger in short bursts. Dont hold the trigger continuously to prevent over wetting oors.
Move the steamer forwards and backwards across the oor, getting into corners and awkward places.
For more concentrated steam use the steam boost. For best results use Max steam + detergent setting. Press the steam boost button on the oorhead to activate. Squeeze the trigger to release steam. Press the steam boost button to switch o.
Re-t the compact scrub brush by lining up with oorhead and pushing rmly into place.
For best cleaning results on stubborn stains in awkward places use the compact
scrub brush on the max
steam detergent setting.
TIP
Using your machine
IMPORTANT: When using on carpets, always make sure the microbre cleaning pad covers the oorhead entirely before using the carpet glider. Only use the carpet glider when refreshing carpets. Never leave the steam mop in one spot for extended period of time or with a damp or wet pad attached as this may damage the oor surface.
Refreshing carpets
Place the microbre pad on the oor white side facing up. Place steamer onto pad making sure the entire pad covers the oorhead.
Pull handle backwards to recline.
With microbre pad attached, slide the oorhead into the carpet glider, then push the back of the oorhead downwards into the clip to secure. The carpet glider should only be used when refreshing carpets.
To produce steam squeeze the trigger in short bursts. To prevent over wetting carpets avoid holding the trigger continuously.
Plug the steamer into mains and slide the On/O switch to “On”. The green light will illuminate when it is ready to use. The steamer will automatically set to Max steam (no detergent).
Move the steamer slowly backwards and forwards across the carpet.
To refresh your carpets press the button on the control panel to select Steam only LOW. Do not use detergent when refreshing carpets.
When releasing the carpet glider, ensure the steam trigger is fully released rst. To release the carpet glider, place your foot on the clip and press down. Lift steamer out of the glider to remove.
After refreshing carpets, switch o and unplug the steamer. Allow the steamer to cool down. Hold the corner of the microbre pad down with your foot and lift steamer to peel away.

Using the 360 connector

Slide the rotation collar forward and rotate the 360⁰ connector to the most suited cleaning position.
Using 360 Steam Tools
Precision Tool
Ideal for hard to access areas such as corners or around taps. The concentrated jet of steam penetrates heavily soiled areas removing soap scum in baths and shower enclosures and blasting away grease and grime from hobs and cookers.
Using the 360 connector with cleaning tools
To attach cleaning tools to the 360⁰ connector, line up the edge of the tool with the 360⁰ connector and in a hinge like manner rotate the tool until it clicks securely in place.
To remove the tool from the 360⁰ connector, push the release tab at the front of the tool.
Soft Scrub Brush
Agitates dried on grease and grime and removes build up of dirt. Perfect for use on cookers and hobs, sinks, taps, worktops and more with minimal eort. The soft bristles tackle dirt and are ideal for more delicate surfaces. The integrated scraper edge helps remove stubborn dried on stains without having to change the tool.
After attaching your chosen accessory tool, gently pull to make sure it’s locked into place

CAUTION: Always switch o the steamer and allow steamer to cool before attaching/detaching the reach wand, oorhead, accessories and twin tank.
Always stand steamer securely against a wall/xed structure or lie the steamer at on the oor in a suitable location so it does not become a trip hazard or can be stepped on.
When using the steam do not aim towards electrical components such as light ttings, sockets and wiring. IMPORTANT: Always check the accessories are clean and free from debris, dont use if damaged, broken or worn.
Using the Steam Fresh Power Plus reach wand
Press the reach wand release pedal and pull the reach wand and handheld out of the oorhead.
Press the centre pad on the control panel to select preferred setting steam/detergent.
With the adaptor and cleaning tool attached to the 360 connector, slide it onto the reach wand nozzle.
To produce steam squeeze the trigger in short bursts. Dont hold the trigger continuously to prevent over wetting.
Twist the adaptor clockwise and listen for the locking click.
Plug the steamer into mains and slide the On/O switch to on. The green light will illuminate when it is ready to use. The steamer will automatically set to max steam (no detergent).
To improve your comfort, use the additional handgrip on the handheld to support the unit and help you clean dicult to reach areas.
TIP
Using your machine
The steam reach wand can be used at dierent heights for hard to reach places.
CAUTION: Always switch o the steamer and allow to cool before attaching/detaching the reach wand, oorhead, accessories and twin tank. Always stand securely against a wall/xed structure or lie the steamer at on the oor. When using the steam reach wand do not aim towards electrical components such as light ttings, sockets and wiring.
IMPORTANT: Always check the tools are clean and free from debris, dont use if damaged, broken or worn.
To remove the 360⁰ connector, slide the release button forward and un-twist the adaptor.
Then grip the adaptor and pull it away from the reach wand.
Using the Steam Fresh Power Plus handheld
Standing behind the unit, press the handheld release buttons and carefully release the handheld from the reach wand.
Place the reach wand safely and securely to one side against a wall or xed structure.
With the adaptor and cleaning tool attached to the 360 connector, insert it into the handheld.
Twist the adaptor clockwise and listen for the locking click.
Plug into mains and slide the On/O switch to on. The green light will illuminate when it is ready to use. The steamer will automatically set to max steam (no detergent).
Press the button on the control panel to select preferred setting steam/detergent.
To produce steam squeeze the trigger in short bursts. Dont hold the trigger continuously to prevent over wetting.
Using your machine
To remove the 360⁰ connector, slide the release button forward and un-twist the adaptor.
To re-attach the handheld to the reach wand, grip the top of the reach wand, and line-up the handheld. Push down rmly until the handheld clicks into place.
Then grip the adaptor and pull it away from the handheld.
To improve your comfort, use the additional handgrip on the handheld to support the unit and help you clean dicult to reach areas.

Taking care of your machine
CAUTION: Switch o the steamer and unplug from the mains. Allow the steamer to fully cool down before performing any maintenance or troubleshooting checks.
Dont leave water or detergent in the tanks between uses, as this can eect the steamer performance, the water/detergent twin tanks need to be emptied and rinsed after each use.
Emptying the twin tank
Press the twin tank release button, grip the twin tank and pull to remove tanks.
Turn the twin tank over to empty any excess water and detergent over the sink.
Grip the twin tank and pull the tab on the water tank cap open, then the tab on the detergent tank cap open.
Rinse the detergent tank with water and replace both caps, pushing rmly to close before replacing the twin tank back onto the steamer.
Cleaning the Microbre Cleaning Pad
IMPORTANT: Dont use bleach or fabric softener when washing the microbre cleaning pad. Always switch o the steamer and allow the steamer to fully cool down before removing the microbre cleaning pad.

After cleaning, ensure the microbre pad is thoroughly dried before using with

The microbre pad is machine washable (max 40⁰C) allow to fully dry before use.

Cleaning the Compact Scrub Brush
Press the reach wand release pedal and pull the reach wand and handheld out of the oorhead.
IMPORTANT: Dont operate the steamer without hard water lter in place. The condition of the lter aects the performance of your steamer, check and change lter periodically. Depending on water hardness and frequency of use, the lter should be changed every 3 to 6 months.
Pull to remove the compact scrub brush from the oorhead.
Remove any dirt /debris from the brushes and wash under running water (max 40⁰C) Leave to dry before re-tting the compact scrub brush onto the steamer.
Replacing the Hard Water Filter
Press the twin tank release button grip the twin tank and pull to remove tanks.
Use your thumb and index nger to grip the hard water lter. Pull the hard water lter towards you to remove.
The hard water lter should be replaced every 3 to 6 months.

CAUTION: Switch o and unplug steamer, allow to fully cool down before performing maintenance or troubleshooting checks.
Clearing blockages from the handheld
Place the handheld on a rm surface and hold securely. Grip the large end of the de-scaling pin, insert the pin into the nozzle and push the de-scaling pin through. Move the pin inwards and outwards to allow the tip of the pin to unblock the nozzle
TAP
Remove the pin from the nozzle. Holding the handheld steamer vertically, tap the nozzle on a hard surface to release any mineral deposits.

The Brushes
The 360° steam brushes help you tackle dirt and grime. They are easy to attach and detach, with a rounded bristle head that makes reaching awkward angles and small crevices even easier.
Deep Scrub Brush
The deep scrub brush has tough, strong bristles that help tackle more stubborn dirt and grime. The specially designed ‘scraper edge’ helps you to remove stuck-on dirt without changing tools.
Uses: oven doors and hobs, grills, taps, work surfaces and much more.
Grout Brush
The grout brush is the tool you need for tackling dirt, mould and mildew on tile grout. The slim bristle head design means you can target the grout line with ease.
Uses: tile grout in all areas.
Accessories
The Window Tool
The window tool is perfect for cleaning glass and other mirrored surfaces. It is designed to give edge to edge steam distribution, for a more even steam clean. Use with the squeegee side rst to clean and wipe away excess water, and then rotate to use the window pad to dry the surface. The pad is easy to attach and detach, and machine-washable for re-use.
Uses: windows, shower screens, tiles, mirrors and other similar surfaces.
The Flexi-Tool
The exi-tool is our ultimate steam cleaning tool for a multitude of tasks. The long, thin, exible design helps to reach into crevices or tackle large at surfaces quickly. It comes with 2 coloured Microbre Socks (one for upholstery and one for hard surfaces), allowing you to easily switch between cleaning tasks.
Uses: between blinds, kitchen appliances and cupboard door handles, as well as worktops, cupboards, curved shower screens, curtains, car seats and much more.
IMPORTANT: Always support the handheld by the handle when using the hose.
The Flexible Extension Hose
The exible extension hose attaches to your handheld to provide some extra cleaning reach. Use with the 360° connector and steam tools for high or hard to reach areas.
Attaching and detaching the hose
Push the end of the hose with the locking clip into the handheld nozzle until it clicks into place. Make sure the locking clip on the exi-hose is securely attached by gently pulling the exi-hose.
Push and attach the 360⁰ connector with tool attached into the other end of the exi-hose until it clicks into place. Make sure the locking clip is securely attached by gently pulling the 360⁰ connector.
Press the unlocking button on the exi-hose and pull to remove the hose from handheld.
360° Steam Tools
Clean & Scrub Kit (Type 1) 1-1-137101
All you need to clean and scrub at all angles. 360° Steam Tools provide full rotational cleaning. This kit includes: 1 x Pro Clean pad and 1 x Microbre pad for general cleaning, 1 x Deep Scrub Brush, 1 x Soft Scrub brush and 1 x Grout Brush for cleaning tough stains around the home. A free accessory bag is also included.

The steamer has no power
Why is the steamer not producing steam?

The plug may not be fully pushed into the electrical socket.
Check the fuse in the plug. If this needs replacing, always replace with a British 13amp fuse.
There may be no water in twin tank. Fill the twin tank. Go to ‘Using your machine’.
Check the twin tank is correctly tted. Go to ‘Using your machine’.
The water may not yet be at temperature, the green indicator light will be illuminated when it is ready.
Trigger on handle has not been pressed go to ‘Using your machine’. The trigger may need to be pumped a few times before steam is visible.
Check the hard water lter is in place, not damaged or needs replacing. Go to ‘Taking care of your machine’.
The oat in twin tank may be stuck. Shake handheld to release.
Steam path may be blocked. Go to ‘Let’s talk technical’.
Tools/accessories not correctly tted. Go to ‘Using your machine’.

The cleaning pad may already be saturated or dirty. Switch o the steamer, unplug from mains and allow to cool. Then wash the cleaning pad. Go to ‘Taking care of your machine’.
Why wont the cleaning pad pick up dirt?
