Basic safety precautions
Don’ts
This steamer is intended for household use only and NOT for commercial or industrial use.
Only use the steamer indoors and keep the area you’re cleaning well lit. Keep ngers, hair and loose clothing away from moving parts and openings whilst using the steamer.
• This appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.
• Don’t touch any hot areas/accessories on your steamer. It’s normal for the steamer and accessories to heat up during use, always allow them to cool down before handling.
• Don’t leave the steamer turned on when unattended.
• Don’t use the steamer if it has been dropped, damaged, immersed in water or left outdoors.
• Don’t run over the power cord or use steamer if the power cord or plug is damaged. Please contact our Customer Care Line (UK) 0330 026 8455(ROI) 1-800 928 308.
• Don’t handle the plug or use the steamer with wet hands.
• Don’t pull or carry the steamer by the power cord.
• Please refer to oor manufacturer’s care recommendations before use, and test your ooring/carpet/rugs/surfaces by running the steamer over a small hidden area, if no pile distortion or no damage occurs continue cleaning. Not suitable for use on wax polished oors or furniture, acrylic surfaces and synthetic, velvet or steam/water sensitive materials.
• This steamer should not be used to clean electrical appliances such as microwaves, televisions and electrical heating systems etc.
• Only Vax recommended cloths and accessories should be used with this steamer.
• Don’t use the power cord as a handle, pull the power cord around corners or sharp edges or close a door over the power cord. Don’t unplug the steamer by pulling on the power cord.
• Don’t attempt to remove blockages with sharp objects as this may cause damage to the steamer, remove blockages only as instructed in this guide.
• Don’t aim the steam cleaner at people, animals, plants and electrical components or wires. Never touch the steam jet (there is a risk of scalding).
• Don’t use the steamer with incorrect voltage as this may result in damage or injury to the user. The correct voltage is listed on the ratings label.
• Don’t use the steamer to clean or refresh any items of clothing that are still being worn on the body.
Do’s
• Always make sure the 360⁰ Connector and accessories are securely connected to the handheld before use.
• Always ll the tank with water only. Never add perfume, stain remover or products containing alcohol. Filling the tank with hot or boiling water will damage the steamer and invalidate the guarantee.
• Always make sure the tanks are tted correctly before using the steamer.
• Always vacuum your carpets thoroughly and ensure hard oor areas are free from grit and debris before using your steamer.
• Always carry the steamer by the handle.
• Always unplug the steamer before carrying out any maintenance or when unattended.
• Turn o all controls on the steamer before disconnecting or connecting the power cord, after use always wrap the power cord around the cord clips provided.
• Take extra care when cleaning on the stairs.
• Always replace the fuse in the plug with a British 13amp fuse.
• Always protect the power cord from heated surfaces and near open ames.
• Use only CE approved 13amp extension cords, non-approved extension cords can overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the extension cord as it could be a trip hazard.
• Store the steamer in a cool, dry area away from children. Before storing the steamer please make sure the tank is thoroughly empty and clean.

Before you Begin CAUTION: The steamer and accessories get very hot during use, always allow them to cool down before handling.
Always unplug the steamer when assembling. Always unplug the steamer before emptying the tank or changing the cloths/accessories.
IMPORTANT: Please refer to oor/surface manufacturer’s care recommendations before use and test the steamer on a hidden area to begin with. Test for colour fastness in a small hidden area of upholstery/fabric to check for colour removal before use. When using the steamer, basic safety precautions should always be observed.
Don’t aim the steamer at people, animals, plants and electrical components or wires. Never touch the steam jet or oorhead from a short distance (there is a risk of scalding). The steamer is equipped with a thermostat and a thermal cut-out. If for any reason the steamer overheats it will switch o. If this happens unplug the steamer, allow to cool for a least 2 to 4 hours and re-try.
Assembling the steamer
Push the main body down into the oorhead until it clicks into place.
Stand the stick steamer upright by pushing the main body forward to lock into position.
Push the handle into main body until it clicks into place.

IMPORTANT: Don’t over ll the tank. Don’t use the steamer without water in the tank. Always top up with water in good time. WARNING: Always unplug the steamer when tting the microbre cleaning pads.
IMPORTANT: Never use the steamer without a cleaning pad attached to the oorhead. Never leave the steamer on one spot
for an extended period of time or with a damp or wet microbre pad attached as this may damage the oor surface.
Filling the tank Using the steam mop
Grip the handle press the tank release buttons and pull the tank to remove.
Line up the tank with the machine, push the tank until it clicks into place.
Pull the tab on the tank cap to open. Fill the tank with water. Replace the cap and push rmly to close.
Important: If the tank is not tted correctly there will be a reduction in the amount of steam produced.
Before replacing the tank make sure the hard water lter which is located behind the tank is in place.
Place the microbre pad on the oor with the tab side facing up. Place the oorhead onto microbre pad making sure the microbre pad covers the entire oorhead.
To produce steam squeeze the trigger in short bursts. Don’t hold the trigger continuously to prevent over wetting oors.
Plug into mains. The blue light will illuminate to indicate power on. The green light will illuminate to indicate the steamer is ready to use.
Move the steamer slowly backwards and forwards across the oor paying particular attention to high trac areas. Squeeze/release trigger as required.
Place your foot onto the oorhead and pull the handle backwards to recline.
After cleaning, return steamer to upright position, lock into place and unplug the steamer. Allow the steamer to cool down. Hold the corner of the microbre pad down with your foot and lift steamer to peel away.
If the area you are cleaning is becoming too wet, squeeze the trigger in short bursts.

IMPORTANT: When using on carpets, always make sure the microbre cleaning pad is used and covers the oorhead entirely before using the carpet glider. Only use the carpet glider when refreshing carpets.
WARNING: Always unplug the handheld before attaching/detaching the 360⁰ connector and tool to the handheld. The steamer and accessories get very hot during use, always allow them to cool down before handling.
IMPORTANT: Always check the tools are clean and free from debris, don’t use if damaged, broken or worn.
Refreshing carpets Using the handheld steamer
Place the microbre pad on the oor with the tab side facing up. Place steamer onto the pad making sure the entire pad covers the oorhead.
Place your foot on oorhead and pull handle backwards to recline.
With microbre pad attached, push the oorhead into front of the carpet glider, then place back of the oorhead into the clip. The carpet glider should only be used when refreshing carpets.
To produce steam squeeze the trigger in short bursts. Don’t hold the trigger continuously to prevent over wetting carpet.
Plug into mains. The blue light will illuminate to indicate power on. The green light will illuminate to indicate the steamer is ready to use.

Press the handheld release button and gently pull the handheld from the main body.
Attach the chosen tool to the 360⁰ connector before attaching both the connector and tool to the handheld.
Before use, remove tank, ll with water and replace tank to handheld unit.
Line up the edge of tool with the 360⁰ connector. In a hinge like manner, push tool on to 360⁰ connector until it clicks securely into place.
Choose a tool.
Push the 360⁰ connector with tool attached into the handheld nozzle until it clicks into place. Make sure the locking clip is securely attached by gently pulling the 360⁰ connector.
To release the carpet glider, place your foot on clip and push down. Lift steamer to remove.
If the area you are cleaning is becoming too wet, squeeze the trigger in short bursts.

CAUTION: Always ensure machine is o before attaching/detaching the, oorhead, accessories and tank. The steamer and accessories get very hot during use, always allow them to cool down before handling. Taps should be turned o when steaming around them and sinks should be empty. Don’t steam clean ovens, oven surfaces or grills when hot, allow to cool to room temperature rst.
Attaching and detaching handheld tools
Attach the chosen tool to the 360⁰ connector before attaching both connector and the tool to the handheld.
Hook tool onto 360⁰ connector. In a hinge like manner, attach tool to 360⁰ connector until it clicks securely into place.

Using Tools
Precision Tool
Ideal for hard to access areas such as in corners or around taps. The concentrated jet of steam penetrates heavily soiled areas removing soap scum in baths and shower enclosures and blasting away grease and grime from hobs and cookers.
See the accessories section for additional tools and accessories.
Soft Scrub Brush
Agitates dried on grease and grime and removes build up of dirt. Perfect for use on cookers and hobs, sinks, taps, worktops and more with minimal eort. The soft bristles tackle dirt and are ideal for more delicate surfaces. The integrated scraper edge helps remove stubborn dried on stains without having to change the tool.
Push and twist the rotation collar to select the most suited cleaning angle for the chosen tool. There are four positions on the rotation collar for easier cleaning.
Reattaching handheld
To remove the tool from the 360⁰ connector lift and push the clip on the top of the tool (The tools get very hot during use, always allow them to cool down before handling).
Press the unlocking button on the 360⁰ connector and pull to remove from handheld.
To re-attach the handheld, insert nozzle in to main body of the steamer. Slide the handheld back into the main body until it clicks into place taking care not to trap the power cord.
IMPORTANT: Allow the steamer to fully cool down before performing any maintenance or troubleshooting checks. Don’t leave water in the tank between uses, as this can eect the steamers performance, the tank should be emptied
and rinse with clean water after each use.
Emptying the tank
Grip the tank press the tank release buttons and pull he water to remove.
Pull the tab on the tank cap to open. Empty any excess water in the sink.
Rinse the tank with clean water and replace cap, pushing rmly to close before replacing the tank back onto the steamer.

Cleaning the microbre cleaning pad
IMPORTANT: Don’t use bleach or fabric softener when washing the microbre cleaning pad. Always allow the steamer to fully cool down before removing the microbre cleaning pad.
Max 40°C
Hold the corner of the microbre pad down with your foot and lift steamer to peel away.
IMPORTANT: Don’t operate the steamer without hard water lter in place. The condition of the lter aects the performance of your steamer, check and change lter periodically. Depending on water hardness and frequency of use, the lter should be changed every 2-3 months.
Replacing the hard water lter
The microbre pad is machine washable (Max 40⁰C), allow to fully dry before use.

The Pads
Tackle everyday surfaces easily with the 360° cleaning pads. Both are easy to attach and detach, and machine-washable for re-use.
Microbre Pad
The microbre pad captures dirty water and spills, and is ideal for cleaning a variety of surfaces.
Uses: worktops, sinks, cupboards, tables, doors, shelves and much more.
Pro Cleaning Pad
The pro cleaning pad has a textured surface to tackle stuck-on dirt, and is ideal for those grimier jobs.
Uses: oven doors, hobs, tiles, baths, child seats, work surfaces and much more.
Grip the tank press the tank release buttons and pull the tank to remove.
WARNING: Unplug steamer, allow to fully cool down before performing maintenance or troubleshooting checks. WARNING: To prevent damaging the steamer DO NOT insert any sharp implements into the nozzle on the handheld unit.
Pull to remove the hard water lter, located on side, behind tank where the tank would sit.
The hard water lter should be replaced every 2-3 months.
Blockages
Water may be released through the bleed valve located on the back of the handheld when there is a blockage. If this occurs, refer to the section ‘What to do if it goes wrong’.
The Brushes
The 360° steam brushes help you tackle dirt and grime. They are easy to attach and detach, with a rounded bristle head that makes reaching awkward angles and small crevices even easier.
Deep Scrub Brush
The deep scrub brush has tough, strong bristles that help tackle more stubborn dirt and grime. The specially designed ‘scraper edge’ helps you to remove stuck-on dirt without changing tools.
Uses: oven doors and hobs, grills, taps, work surfaces and much more.
Grout Brush
The grout brush is the tool you need for tackling dirt, mould and mildew on tile grout. The slim bristle head design means you can target the grout line with ease.
Uses: tile grout in all areas.

The Window Tool
The window tool is perfect for cleaning glass and other mirrored surfaces. It is designed to give edge to edge steam distribution, for a more even steam clean. Use with the squeegee side rst to clean and wipe away excess water, and then rotate to use the window pad to dry the surface. The pad is easy to attach and detach, and machine-washable for re-use.
Uses: windows, shower screens, tiles, mirrors and other similar surfaces.
The Flexi-Tool
The exi-tool is our ultimate steam cleaning tool for a multitude of tasks. The long, thin, exible design helps to reach into crevices or tackle large at surfaces quickly. It comes with 2 coloured Microbre Socks (one for upholstery and one for hard surfaces), allowing you to easily switch between cleaning tasks.
Uses: between blinds, kitchen appliances and cupboard door handles, as well as worktops, cupboards, curved shower screens, curtains, car seats and much more.
IMPORTANT: Always support the handheld by the handle when using the hose.
The Flexible Extension Hose
The exible extension hose attaches to your handheld to provide some extra cleaning reach. Use with the 360° connector and steam tools for high or hard to reach areas.

All you need to clean and scrub at all angles. 360° Steam Tools provide full rotational cleaning. This kit includes: 1 x Pro Clean pad and 1 x Microbre pad for general cleaning, 1 x Deep Scrub Brush, 1 x Soft Scrub brush and 1 x Grout Brush for cleaning tough stains around the home. A free accessory bag is also included.

All you need to tackle awkward crevices and a multitude of surfaces around the home. 360° Steam Tools provide full rotational for cleaning at all angles. The kit includes: 1 x Window tool and pad (for glass, mirrored or shiny surfaces), 1 x Deep Scrub Brush and 1 x Grout Brush, 1 x Extension Hose (for extra exible reach) and 1 x Flexi-Tool with 2 x Microbre Socks (for tackling a multitude of surfaces and awkward nooks and crannies). Push the end of the hose with the locking clip into the handheld nozzle until it clicks into place. Make sure the locking clip on the exi-hose is securely attached by gently pulling the exi-hose.
Push and attach the 360⁰ connector with tool attached into the other end of the exi-hose until it clicks into place. Make sure the locking clip is securely attached by gently pulling the 360⁰ connector.

Contains 2 x replacement Microbre Socks for your 360° Flexi-Tool. Socks are machine washable.
Press the unlocking button on the exi-hose and pull to remove the hose from handheld.

• Check the hard water lter is in place, not damaged or needs replacing. Go to ‘Taking care of your machine’.
• The water pipe on tank may be stuck. Shake handheld to release.
• Tools/accessories not correctly tted. Go to ‘using your machine’.
• The cleaning pad may already be saturated or dirty, wash the cleaning pad. Go to ‘Taking care of your machine’.
Why won’t the cleaning pad pick up dirt?
• May be a blockage in the handheld.
Why is water being released from the back
• Check the tools are clean and free from debris. Rinse tools under running water. Retry machine. If water continues to be released, contact us.
