FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY.

When using the vacuum cleaner, basic safety precautions should always be observed, including the following:

1. Read this manual prior to use.

2. Only use the vacuum cleaner indoors on dry surfaces.
Do not handle the plug or vacuum cleaner with wet
hands. Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces.

3. Turn off the vacuum cleaner controls before
disconnecting or connecting from the mains supply.

4. Before cleaning or performing maintenance on the
appliance, ensure that the plug has been removed from
the electrical socket.

5. DO NOT modify or repair the appliance yourself.

6. Always unplug the vacuum cleaner before connecting
or disconnecting the vacuum hose and accessories.

7. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be performed
by children without supervision. Children must not be
allowed to stand or sit on the appliance. Children must
not be allowed to play with the appliance. Packing
material must not be used to play with. There is danger
of suffocation.

8. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8
years and above and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved. However,
for reasons of safety we strongly recommend that even
children aged from 8 years and above do not operate
the device as they definitely cannot understand all
specific dangers arising from it. Keep the appliance out
of reach of people of these groups.

9. Use only as described in this manual. Use only Vax
recommended attachments.

10. Do not use the vacuum cleaner if it has been
dropped, damaged, left outdoors or dropped into
water. Do not use the vacuum cleaner with a
damaged cord or plug. If the supply cord is
damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer
or a recommended Service Agent to avoid hazard
and invalidating the guarantee.

11. Do not pull or carry by cord. Do not use the cord
as a handle, close a door on the cord or pull cord
around sharp edges or corners. Do not run the
vacuum cleaner over the cord. Keep the cord away
from heated surfaces.

12. Do not put any objects into openings. Do not use
with any openings blocked and do not restrict
airflow. Keep all openings free of dust, lint, hair or
anything that might reduce airflow.

13. Never use the vacuum on people, animals or plants.
Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers and all parts of
the body away from openings and moving parts.

14. Do not pick up hot coals, cigarette butts, matches
or any hot, smoking or burning objects.

15. Do not pick up flammable or combustible materials
(lighter fluid, petrol, kerosene etc.) or use in the
presence of explosive liquids or vapours.

16. Do not vacuum up harmful or toxic materials
(chlorine, bleach, ammonia, drain cleaner etc.).

17. Do not vacuum up hard or sharp objects such as
glass, nails, screws, coins, etc.

18. Do not vacuum rubble, plaster, cement fine drilling
dust, make-up etc. These might damage the
appliance.

19. Do not use without ALL of the filters in place.

20. Take extra care when vacuuming on stairs.

21. Keep vacuuming area well lit.

22. Store the vacuum cleaner in a cool, dry area.

23. Use only CE-approved 13 amp extension cords.
Non-approved cords may overheat. Care should be
taken to arrange the cord so that the cord cannot
be tripped over.

WARNING: Always switch off and unplug the
vacuum cleaner from the electrical outlet before

assembling, opening or emptying the dirt
container, or before connecting/disconnecting the
attachments.

CAUTION: The vacuum cleaner is a very

powerful unit. Before plugging the cord into the

electrical outlet, make sure the switch is in the
‘off’ position.

IMPORTANT: If the inlet, hose or telescopic tube

is blocked, switch off the vacuum cleaner and

remove the blockage(s) before re-starting the
vacuum cleaner. See Maintenance: Clearing blockages.

IMPORTANT: Washing filters maintains vacuum

performance. Vax recommends that they should

be checked and cleaned periodically (depending
on the level of use). Make sure all filters are completely
dry before inserting back into the vacuum cleaner.

IMPORTANT: The motor is equipped with a

thermal cut-out. If for any reason the unit should

overheat, the thermostat will automatically turn
the unit off. Should this occur, unplug the vacuum
cleaner from the electrical outlet and turn off the switch.
Remove dirt container and empty. Clean filters. Allow
the unit

to cool for approximately one (1) hour. To re-

start, plug into an electrical outlet and switch back on.

This vacuum cleaner is intended for household use
only and NOT for commercial or industrial use.

yellow mark on the cord indicates the
recommended cord length. Do not exceed
the cord length beyond the yellow mark.

Keep your Vax like new

IMPORTANT: The condition of the filters affects the

performance of your machine. Please check and wash filters
periodically (depending on the level of use). For full cleaning
instructions, see pages 9 and 10.

IMPORTANT: Do not use the vacuum cleaner without all of the
filters in place.

NOTE: The Turbobrush, hard floor tool, crevice tool, upholstery tool and dusting brush can all be attached directly
to the telescopic tube or hose handle. The TurboTool should be attached via the supplied connector.

Clearing blockages

WARNING: To reduce the risk of electric shock, the power cord must be disconnected before performing

maintenance/troubleshooting checks. Turn the vacuum cleaner off and unplug from the electrical socket.

Hose blockages

The flexible hose may be disconnected
from the vacuum cleaner. Carefully remove
any blockages found and reconnect the
hose securely.

Switch the vacuum cleaner off and disconnect the power plug from the
electrical outlet.

Lay the Turbobrush on a flat surface and turn over to expose the
brushbar. Using a pair of scissors, cut through any threads or hairs
caught around the brushes and brushbar.

Accessory blockages

Remove accessory from the hose/telescopic tube.
Carefully remove the blockage and return to the
cleaner.

Removing blockages from the TurboTool (some models only)

Locking ring

Tabs

Turn the TurboTool over and
slide off the locking ring.

Removing blockages from the Turbobrush (some models only)

Detach lower housing and
remove blockage.

To re-assemble the TurboTool,
ensure that the tabs are engaged
and pivot the lower housing
closed. Slip the locking ring over
the neck of the TurboTool and into
the groove to finish.

FAQs

Is there an accessory missing?

• Check the ‘Parts Overview’ page in this guide to
make sure the part is definitely included in your unit.

Why won’t the vacuum cleaner pick up?

• The dirt container may be incorrectly installed;
remove the dirt container from the unit by pressing
the dirt container release catch and then re­attaching it to the unit, ensuring it is locked firmly
back into place.

• The filter may be clogged; refer to ‘Maintenance:
Cleaning the filters’ on pages 9 and 10.

• The dirt container may be blocked; refer to
‘Maintenance: Emptying and cleaning the dirt
container’ on page 9.

• There may be a blockage in the hose/tube;
disconnect from the vacuum cleaner. Carefully
remove any blockages found and reconnect
securely.

Why is dust escaping from the vacuum?

• The filter may be clogged; refer to ‘Maintenance:
Cleaning the filters’ on pages 9 and 10.

• The dirt container may be blocked; refer to
‘Maintenance: Emptying and cleaning the dirt
container’ on page 9.

• The dirt container may be incorrectly installed;
remove the dirt container from the unit by pressing
the dirt container release catch and then re­attaching it to the unit, ensuring it is locked firmly
back into place.

What do I do if the unit/an accessory becomes
damaged or broken?

on page 164.

Why won’t the accessories pick up properly?

• Hose blockages: remove the hose from the unit.

Carefully remove any blockages found and
reconnect hose securely.

• Accessory blockages: remove accessory from

handle/tube. Carefully remove blockage and re­attach to the vacuum cleaner.

• The accessory may be faulty. See service contact

information on page 164.

Why will the vacuum cleaner not run?

• It may not be plugged into the electrical outlet
correctly; ensure that the plug is pushed in
securely.

• The electrical outlet may not be working properly;
check the fuse or breaker, or consult an electrician.

• The motor thermostat may have tripped; switch off
and unplug the vacuum cleaner, and leave for one
hour before switching the cleaner back on.

Všeobecné Bezpečnostní Informace

POUZE PRO POUŽITÍ V DOMÁCNOSTECH.

Při používání vysavače by měla být vždy dodržována základní bezpečnostní pravidla, včetně těchto:

1. Před použitím přístroje si přečtěte tento návod.

2. Vysavač používejte pouze v interiéru a vysávejte jím
pouze suché povrchy. S elektrickou zástrčkou ani s
vysavačem nemanipulujte s mokrýma rukama. Přístroj
nepoužívejte ve venkovním prostoru či k vysávání
mokrých či vlhkých povrchů.

3. Před odpojením vysavače od napájecí sítě či před jeho
připojením k napájecí síti vysavač vypněte.

4. Před čištěním či prováděním údržby přístroje vytáhněte
z elektrické zásuvky jeho zástrčku.

5. Přístroj sami neupravujte ani neopravujte.

6. Před připojováním či odpojováním vysávací hadice a
příslušenství vysavač vypojte.

7. Čištění a uživatelskou údržbu nesmějí provádět děti bez
dohledu. Nedovolte, aby si na přístroj stoupaly či sedaly
děti. Nedovolte, aby si s přístrojem hrály děti. Obalový
materiál není hračka. Hrozí nebezpečí udušení.

8. Tento přístroj smějí používat děti starší osmi let a
osoby s omezenými fyzickými, smyslovými či
duševními schopnostmi nebo nedostatkem zkušeností
a znalostí, jestliže na ně někdo dohlíží nebo obdržely
pokyny ohledně bezpečného používání přístroje a
chápou nebezpečí, která z jeho používání vyplývají. Z
bezpečnostních důvodů však důrazně doporučujeme,
aby ani děti starší osmi let přístroj nepoužívaly, neboť
rozhodně nejsou schopny pochopit všechna specifická
nebezpečí, která z jeho používání vyplývají. Přístroj
uchovávejte mimo dosah lidí spadajících do těchto
skupin.

9. Přístroj používejte výhradně tak, jak je to popsáno v
tomto návodu. Používejte výhradně nástavce
doporučené firmou Vax.

10. Vysavač nepoužívejte, jestliže vám předtím upadl na
zem, došlo k jeho poškození, byl ponechán ve
venkovním prostoru nebo byl ponořen do vody.
Nepoužívejte vysavač s poškozeným napájecím
kabelem či elektrickou zástrčkou. Jestliže dojde k
poškození napájecího kabelu a chcete předejít
vzniku nebezpečí a zachovat si platnost záruky,
musí jej vyměnit výrobce nebo doporučený servis.

11. Přístroj netahejte ani nepřenášejte za kabel. Kabel
nepoužívejte místo rukojeti, nepřivírejte jej do dveří
a netahejte jej kolem ostrých hran či rohů.
Vysavačem nepřejíždějte přes kabel. Kabel chraňte
před horkými povrchy.

12. Do otvorů nevkládejte žádné předměty. Přístroj
nepoužívejte, pokud jsou některé z jeho otvorů
zablokované. Nebraňte průtoku vzduchu přístrojem.
Ze všech otvorů odstraňujte prach, žmolky, vlasy a
veškeré předměty, které by mohly omezit průtok
vzduchu přístrojem.

13. Vysavač nikdy nepoužívejte na lidi, zvířata či
rostliny. Dejte pozor, aby se vám do otvorů přístroje
či jeho pohybujících se částí nedostaly vlasy, volné
oblečení, prsty ani žádné jiné předměty.

14. Přístrojem nevysávejte žhavé uhlíky, cigaretové
nedopalky, zápalky ani horké, doutnající či hořící
předměty.

15. Přístrojem nevysávejte hořlavé či zápalné materiály
(benzin do zapalovačů, automobilový benzin, petrolej
atd.) a nepoužívejte jej za přítomnosti výbušných
kapalin či výparů.

16. Nevysávejte škodlivé či jedovaté materiály (chlor,
bělidla, čpavek, čističe odpadů atd.).

17. Nevysávejte tvrdé či ostré předměty, jako jsou sklo,
hřebíky, šrouby, mince atd.

18. Nevysávejte sutiny, omítku, cement, jemný prach z
vrtání, líčidla atd. Tyto materiály by mohly přístroj
poškodit.

19. Nejsou-li v přístroji nainstalovány VŠECHNY filtry,
nepoužívejte jej.

20. Při vysávání na schodech dbejte zvýšené opatrnosti.

21. Dbejte na dostatečné osvětlení prostoru, který
vysáváte.

22. Vysavač skladujte na chladném, suchém místě.

23. Používejte pouze 13A prodlužovací kabely opatřené
značkou CE. Neschválené kabely by se mohly
přehřát. Kabel vždy veďte tak, abyste o něj nemohli
zakopnout.

VAROVÁNÍ: Před sestavováním, otevíráním nebo
vyprazdňováním nádoby na nečistoty a před
připojováním/odpojováním přídavného

příslušenství vysavač vždy vypněte a vypojte ze zásuvky.

POZOR: Vysavač je velmi výkonné zařízení. Před
připojením přívodního kabelu do elektrické sítě se
ujistěte, že je spínač v pozici „vypnuto“.

DŮLEŽITÉ: Jsou-li přívod, hadice nebo
teleskopická trubice ucpány, vypněte vysavač a

odstraňte před opětovným uvedením do chodu
blokující předmět(y). Viz sekce Údržba: Odstraňování
ucpávek.

DŮLEŽITÉ: Pravidelným praním filtrů zajistíte delší

výkonnost Vašeho vysavače. Vax Vám doporučuje

kontrolovat a čistit filtry pravidelně (dle míry
používání). Před umístěním vyčištěných filtrů zpět do
vysavače se ujistěte, že jsou zcela suché.

DŮLEŽITÉ: Motor je vybaven termostatickou

pojitskou. Dojde-li z jakéhokoliv důvodu k přehřátí

přístroje, termostat vysavač automaticky vypne.
Nastane-li tato situace, vypojte vysavač z elektrické sítě a
vypněte jej. Vyjměte nádobu na nečistoty a vyprázdněte
ji. Vyčistěte filtry. Nechte vysavač přibližně jednu (1)
hodinu vychladnout. Pro opětovné uvedení do chodu
zapojte do elektrické sítě a zapněte.

Tento vysavač je určen výhradně pro použití v
domácnosti a NE pro komerční nebo průmyslové účely.

Sestavení Vašeho vysavače

Provoz přístroje

POZNÁMKA: Zcela vytáhněte přívodní kabel. Žlutá značka na kabelu označuje doporučenou délku kabelu.

Nevytahujte kabel dál než za tuto značku.

Udržujte svůj vysavač Vax jako nový

DŮLEŽITÉ: Stav filtrů Vašeho vysavače ovlivňuje jeho výkon.

Kontrolujte a čistěte proto filtry pravidelně (dle míry použití).
Kompletní informace o údržbě najdete na stránkách 19 a 20.

DŮLEŽITÉ: Nepoužívejte vysavač bez filtrů.

VÝSTRAHA: Před nasazováním hadice a nástrojů odpojte přístroj od napájení.

!

POZNÁMKA: Turbokartáč, hubice na tvrdé podlahy, hubice na štěrbiny,

hubice na čalounění a kartáč na prach lze připojit přímo na teleskopickou tyč anebo na držák hadice. Turbohubice
musí být nejprve připojena k dodané spojce a poté ji lze připojit k držáku hadice.

DŮLEŽITÉ: Volitelná turbohubice je určena pouze k vysávání koberců, rohoží a podobných materiálů

odolných proti poškrábání. Turbohubicí nečistěte nábytek či materiály s jemnou texturou, ani jiné vysoce kvalitní či
leštěné podklady – mohlo by dojít k jejich poškození. V případě pochybností turbohubici nepoužívejte. V každém
případě dodržujte pokyny pro péči a čištění poskytované příslušným výrobcem.

Vyprázdnění a čištění nádoby na nečistoty

POZNÁMKA: Na zadní straně vysavače je záchytná drážka pro upevnění hubice a trubky při přenášení nebo

skladování vysavače.

Odstraňování ucpávek

Chybí vám nějaké příslušenství?

• Zkontrolujte všechny části zařízení dle stránky s
jejich přehledem v této uživatelské příručce a
ujistěte se, že máte všechny součásti.

Proč příslušenství nevysává pořádně všechny
nečistoty?

• Ucpání hadice: Odpojte hadici od přístroje.
Opatrně vyjměte všechny případné ucpané
nečistoty a hadici opět napevno připněte k
přístroji.

• ‘Ucpání doplňků: odpojte doplněk od
držáku/trubky. Opatrně odstraňte ucpané

nečistoty a znovu připevněte doplněk k vysavači.

Proč vysavač nevysává nečistoty?

• Nádoba na nečistoty může být špatně usazena.
Stisknutím tlačítka pro uvolnění nádoby na
nečistoty vyjměte nádobu a vložte ji zpět.

Ujistěte se, že pevně zapadla na své místo.

• Filtry mohou být zanesené. Viz. „Údržba: čištění
filtrů“ na straně 19 a 20.

• Nádoba na nečistoty může být ucpaná. Viz.
„Údržba: Vyprázdnění a čištění nádoby na
nečistoty“ na straně 19.

• Hadice/trubka může být ucpaná. Odpojte ji od
vysavače. Opatrně odstraňte ucpané nečistoty a
připojte zpět.

Proč nelze vysavač zapnout?

• Pravděpodobně není správně zapojen do
elektrické sítě. Ujistěte se, že zástrčka je
správně zasunuta do zásuvky.

• Zásuvka pravděpodobně nefunguje správně.

Zkontrolujte pojistky či hlavní jistič, případně se
obraťte na elektrikáře.

• Pravděpodobně se aktivoval termostat motoru.

Vypněte přístroj a odpojte jej z elektrické sítě.
Nechte přístroj vypnutý alespoň jednu hodinu.

Proč z vysavače unikají nečistoty?

• Filtry mohou být zanesené. Viz „Údržba: Čištění

filtrů“ na straně 19 a 20.

• Nádoba na nečistoty může být zanesená
nečistotami. Viz. „Údržba: Vyprázdnění a čištění

nádoby na nečistoty“ na straně 19.

• Nádoba na nečistoty může být špatně usazena.

Stisknutím tlačítka pro uvolnění nádoby na
nečistoty vyjměte nádobu a vložte ji zpět.

Ujistěte se, že pevně zapadla na své místo.

Beachten Sie stets folgende Sicherheitshinweise:

3. Schalten Sie den Staubsauger aus, bevor Sie seinen
Stecker aus der Steckdose ziehen oder ihn an eine
Steckdose anschließen.

4. Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Stecker aus der Steckdose
gezogen ist, bevor Sie das Gerät reinigen oder warten.

5. Reparieren oder verändern Sie das Gerät NICHT selbst.

9. Verwenden Sie das Gerät nur wie in dieser Anleitung
beschrieben. Verwenden Sie nur von Vax empfohlenes
Zubehör.

10. Verwenden Sie den Staubsauger nicht, wenn er fallen
gelassen wurde, beschädigt ist, im Freien gestanden
hat oder in Wasser getaucht wurde. Verwenden Sie
den Staubsauger nicht mit einem beschädigten
Stromkabel oder Stecker. Wenn das Stromkabel
beschädigt ist, muss es vom Hersteller oder einem
autorisierten Servicebetrieb ausgetauscht werden, um
eine Gefährdung und einen Garantieverlust zu
vermeiden.

11. Ziehen Sie nicht am Stromkabel. Tragen Sie das Gerät
nicht am Stromkabel. Verwenden Sie das Stromkabel
nicht als Tragegriff. Schieben Sie keine Tür über das
Stromkabel. Ziehen Sie es nicht um scharfe Ecken und
Kanten. Fahren Sie nicht mit dem Staubsauger über
das Stromkabel. Halten Sie das Stromkabel von
beheizten Oberflächen fern.

12 . Stecken Sie keine Gegenstände in die Öffnungen des

Geräts. Verwenden Sie das Gerät nicht mit verstopften
Öffnungen. Blockieren Sie den Luftstrom nicht.
Sämtliche Öffnungen müssen frei von Staub, Flusen,
Haaren oder anderen Dingen gehalten werden, die den
Luftstrom verringern können.

13. Richten Sie den Staubsauger nie auf Menschen, Tiere
oder Pflanzen. Achten Sie darauf, dass Haare, locker
sitzende Kleidung, Finger sowie alle anderen
Körperteile nicht in Öffnungen oder bewegliche Teile
geraten.

14. Saugen Sie keine glühende Kohle, Zigaretten,
Streichhölzer oder andere heißen, rauchenden oder
brennenden Gegenstände auf.

15 . Saugen Sie keine leicht entzündlichen oder brennbaren

Materialien (z. B. Feuerzeugbenzin, Kraftstoff, Kerosin
usw.) auf oder verwenden das Gerät in der Nähe von
explosiven Flüssigkeiten oder Gasen.

16. Saugen Sie keine gesundheitsgefährdenden oder
giftigen Materialien auf (z. B. Chlor, Bleiche, Ammoniak,
Abflussreiniger usw.).

17. Saugen Sie keine harten oder scharfkantigen
Gegenstände wie Glas, Nägel, Schrauben, Münzen usw.
auf.

18. Saugen Sie keinen Bauschutt, Gips, Zement, feinsten
Bohrstaub, Schminke usw. auf. Dadurch kann das
Gerät beschädigt werden.

19. Verwenden Sie das Gerät nur, wenn zuvor ALLE Filter
eingesetzt wurden.

20. Lassen Sie beim Saugen auf Treppen besondere
Vorsicht walten.

21. Sorgen Sie für gute Beleuchtung des zu reinigenden
Bereichs.

22. Bewahren Sie das Gerät an einem kühlen, trockenen
Ort auf.

23. Verwenden Sie nur CE-geprüfte Verlängerungskabel.
Nicht zugelassene Kabel können überhitzen. Verlegen
Sie das Kabel stets so, dass man nicht darüber
stolpern kann.

WARNUNG: Schalten Sie den Staubsauger aus
und ziehen Sie seinen Stecker aus der Steckdose,
bevor der Staubbehälter eingesetzt, geöffnet oder

geleert wird oder Zubehörteile montiert/gelöst werden.

VORSICHT: Der Staubsauger ist sehr
leistungsstark. Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Gerät
ausgeschaltet ist, bevor Sie sein Stromkabel an eine

Steckdose anschließen.

WICHTIG: Wenn die Aufnahmeöffnung oder das
Teleskoprohr verstopft sind, schalten Sie den

Staubsauger aus und entfernen die Verstopfung vor
dem erneuten Einschalten. Siehe Wartung: Verstopfungen
entfernen.

WICHTIG: Regelmäßiges Reinigen der Filter erhält

die Saugleistung. Vax empfiehlt, dass diese in

regelmäßigen Abständen geprüft und gereinigt
werden (abhängig von der Häufigkeit der Benutzung). Stellen
Sie sicher, dass alle Filter vor dem Einsetzen in das Gerät
vollständig trocken sind.

WICHTIG: Der Motor ist mit einem Thermoschalter

ausgerüstet. Sollte sich das Gerät aus irgendeinem

Grund überhitzen, schaltet das Thermostat das Gerät
automatisch aus. Sollte dies vorkommen, schalten Sie das
Gerät aus und ziehen Sie den Stecker aus der Steckdose.
Entfernen und leeren Sie den Staubbehälter. Reinigen Sie
die Filter. Lassen Sie das Gerät

ca. 1 Stunde abkühlen. Zur
erneuten Inbetriebnahme stecken Sie den Stecker in die
Steckdose und schalten Sie das Gerät wieder ein.

Dieser Staubsauger ist für die Verwendung im
Haushalt und NICHT für gewerbliche oder industrielle
Nutzung ausgelegt.
VERWAHREN SIE DIESE ANLEITUNG FÜR EINE

Struktur noch andere hochwertige oder gar polierte Untergründe mit der Turbobürste, da es sonst zu
Materialschäden kommen kann. Setzen Sie im Zweifel die Turbobürste nicht ein. Beachten Sie in jedem Fall die

HINWEIS: Die Turbobürste, Parkettbürste, Fugendüse, Polsterdüse und Möbelbürste können alle
direkt auf das Teleskoprohr oder den Handgriff gesteckt werden. Die Mini-Turbobürste muss zuerst mit der
