PLEASE KEEP INSTRUCTIONS FOR FURTHER USE AND USE ONLY AS INSTRUCTED IN THIS GUIDE.
DON’TS
• Don’t leave the charger plugged in when unattended.
• Don’t use the machine if it is faulty or has been dropped, damaged or left outdoors.
• Don’t use the machine to pick up any flammable or combustible materials (lighter fluid, petrol, kerosene etc.) or use the machine in an area with explosive vapours or liquid.
• Don’t use the machine to pick up hot coals, cigarette butts, matches or smoking hot burning items or use in an area where there may be harmful fluids (chlorine, bleach and ammonia drain cleaner).
• Don’t handle the charger, battery or use the machine with wet hands.
• Don’t unplug the charger by pulling on the power cord.
• Don’t use the charger if the charger cord or plug is damaged.
• Don’t attempt to remove blockages with sharp objects as this may cause damage to the machine.
• Don’t use the machine with the incorrect battery or charger as this may result in damage or injury to the user. The correct battery charger information is listed on the battery pack ratings label.
• Don’t charge the battery outdoors, or leave the charger connected to the mains when not in use.
• Don’t use this machine with a damaged battery. If the battery is damaged contact us on: 08000

• Don’t carry the machine while it’s switched on.
DO’S
• Only VAX ONEPWR batteries (BV15020/BV15030/BV25040) and charger (BV05100UK) should be used with this machine.
• Only VAX ONEPWR recommended charger, batteries, tools and accessories should be used with this machine.
• Refer to the floor manufacturer’s care recommendations before use. Test your flooring - run the machine over a small hidden area, if no damage or discolouration occurs continue cleaning. Not suitable for use on water sensitive flooring.
• Always remove the battery from the machine before carrying out any maintenance or if storing unused for a long period of time.
• Keep all openings clear and free from debris as this may affect the airflow/suction.
• Turn off all controls on the machine before disconnecting or connecting the battery.
• Always protect the charger power cord from heated surfaces or near open flames.

• The machine can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the machine in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the machine. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
• Only use the machine indoors and keep the area you’re cleaning well lit.
• Keep fingers, hair and loose clothing away from moving parts and openings whilst using the machine.
• Store the machine in a cool, dry area. Before storing ensure all water/solution tanks and filters are thoroughly clean and dry.
• Use only CE approved 13amp extension cords, non-approved extension cords may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the extension cord as it can be a trip hazard.
• The clean water tank should be filled with warm water (max 40°C) only. Filling the clean water tank with hot or boiling water will damage the machine and invalidate the guarantee. Always use the machine with all water/solution tanks and filters in place.
• Only VAX recommended solution should be used with the machine. Using other solutions may invalidate the guarantee.
• Always use the machine in an upright position. To prevent motor damage from dirty water, never hold the machine upside down or on its side. Always stand the machine on a stable, level surface.
• Always check the brushroll is free from damage, dirt and debris before using.
BATTERY SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
• Replace battery with VAX ONEPWR battery only. Use of another battery may present a risk of fire or explosion.
• Do not attempt to disassemble the battery, remove any component projecting from the battery terminals and do not dispose of in a fire. The battery and charger have no user serviceable parts. Fire or injury may result.
• Prior to disposal, protect exposed terminals with heavy insulating tape to prevent shorting. The battery is to be disposed of safely at your local battery recycling centre.
• When the battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects that can make a connection from one terminal to another. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.

WARRANTY & TECHNICAL
WARRANTY
If a VAX ONEPWR machine is used in the way it is intended and it breaks down within the guarantee period, it’s our responsibility to repair or replace it. Here’s what isn’t covered:
• Normal wear and tear of consumable items, for example: belts, filters, brushrolls, fuses etc.
• Batteries which have become faulty as a result of improper handling.
• Batteries which have a reduced service life as a result of normal wear.
• Accidental damage
- Damage as a result of use not in accordance with the product user guide.
- Damage caused by not carrying out regular maintenance.
- Damage to the charger cable.
- Blockages caused by misuse.

• Faults caused by:
- Negligent use, misuse, neglect or careless operation of the machine.
- Use of the machine cleaner which is not in accordance with the user guide.
- Use of a VAX ONEPWR machine for anything other than normal domestic household purposes in the country in which it was purchased.
- Use of parts, accessories and consumables, which are not genuine VAX components.
- Faulty installation or repairs – unless carried out by a qualified electrician or engineer.

CHARGING THE BATTERY
THIS MACHINE IS ONLY TO BE USED WITH VAX ONEPWR BATTERIES AND CHARGER. PLEASE READ THE SAFETY GUIDE BEFORE USE.
NOTE: Before first use, ensure the battery is fully charged. Failure to fully charge the battery before first use may result in poor battery performance. The life expectancy of the battery will vary depending on the usage of the machine.

Slide the battery down on to the charger until it clicks into place.
The charger light will flash white to show when the battery is charging. The light on the charger will stop flashing and go off when the battery is fully charged.
Once fully charged, slide the battery off the charger to remove.
To check the battery charge level press the battery symbol.

IMPORTANT:
• Test the machine over a small hidden area of your flooring before use. If no damage occurs continue cleaning.
• When using the machine, basic safety precautions should always be observed. Take care not to oversaturate flooring. Always finish on a dry stroke (no trigger pressed).
• For heavily soiled areas, it may be necessary to repeat the cleaning process.
• Only use VAX ONEPWR Multi-floor solution. Using other solutions may cause excess foaming and will invalidate your guarantee.
• The water/solution tank should only be filled with warm water (max 40⁰C). Filling the water/ solution tank with hot/boiling water will damage your washer and invalidate the guarantee.
• Empty and rinse out water/solution tank and dirty water tank and leave to air dry before storage. Do not leave solution stored in the tanks between uses.
• For prolonged storage the brushroll should be removed, cleaned and stored in the rinse/storage tray.

Push the handle into the main body until it clicks into place.
Close the battery cover.
Pull to open the battery cover.
To remove the battery press both the buttons to release.
Holding the cover open, slide the battery into the machine until it clicks into place.

FILLING THE WATER / SOLUTION TANK
IMPORTANT: Do not leave solution stored in the tanks between uses.
NOTE: When unpacking the machine, the water/solution tank cap will be attached to the side of the tank. Before first use, and after water/solution has been added, ensure that the cap is screwed onto the water/solution tank before refitting onto the machine.

Lift to remove the water/solution tank from the back of the machine.
Unscrew the cap and fill to the desired level using the markers on the tank.
Replace the cap and push the tank down on to the machine until it clicks into place.

OPERATION
IMPORTANT: Your dirty water tank is fitted with a float. When the dirty water tank is full, or the floorhead is not in contact with the floor, the float will shut off the suction on the machine. You will be able to hear if this has happened as the motor noise on the machine will increase. Once the float is activated, check if the dirty water tank is full and empty if necessary. If the dirty water tank is not full, continue to check for blockages.

Place your foot on the base and pull the handle backwards to recline.
Press the trigger on the handle to release water and solution. Release the trigger to recover the water and solution.
Press the on/off button to switch the machine on. The machine will always start in High Mode.
For best results apply water/solution on the forward stroke and release the trigger on the backward stroke to pick up water/solution. For a dryer finish, follow with an additional dry stoke without the trigger pressed.
For an improved runtime, press the mode selector button to switch to Eco Mode.
For a more intense clean, press the mode selector button to switch to High Mode.
During use, regularly empty the dirty water tank ensuring the water does not exceed the max fill line marked on the side of the tank.

ALWAYS SWITCH OFF THE MACHINE AND REMOVE THE BATTERY BEFORE CARRYING OUT ANY MAINTENANCE OR TROUBLESHOOTING.
EMPTYING THE DIRTY WATER TANK
IMPORTANT: Empty and rinse out the water/solution tank and dirty water tank and leave to air dry before refitting.

Press down the dirty water tank release button and pull the tank to remove.
Twist the separator clockwise to release from the lid.
Hold the top of the dirty water tank lid and pull upwards to remove.
40°C MAX
Empty the dirty water over a sink. Rinse the tank and separator under water (max 40°C) to remove dirt/debris.
To refit, line up the separator tab with the lid tab and twist anticlockwise to lock.
To re-fit, tilt the dirty water tank and line the front of the tank up onto machine. Push back until it clicks into place.

CLEANING THE FILTER
IMPORTANT: After every use wash the filter with warm water (40°C max) and leave for 24 hours or until fully dry before refitting onto the machine. For best cleaning results filters should be replaced every 6 months (depending on the level of use). Ensure all filters are in place before using the machine.

Pull the tab on the bottom of the filter to remove.
Wash the lter under running water (40°C max). Leave for at least 24hrs or until fully dry before retting.
CLEANING THE SEPARATOR
Hold the top of the dirty water tank lid and pull upwards to remove.

Twist the separator clockwise to release from the lid.
40°C MAX
Wash the separator mesh under running water (40˚ max) to remove any dirt and debris.
To refit, line up the separator tab with the lid tab and twist anticlockwise to lock.

IMPORTANT: We recommend rinsing the machine and quick cleaning the brushroll after every use.

REMOVING AND ADVANCED CLEANING OF THE BRUSHROLL
IMPORTANT: Make sure both the brushroll and brushroll cover are fitted correctly. If fitted incorrectly this may cause poor water pick up. For best cleaning results, advanced cleaning of the brushroll should be done every 5-6 uses. For prolonged storage, the brushroll should be removed, cleaned and stored in the rinse/storage tray.
CAUTION: If the brushroll has been obstructed, the brushroll motor protection sensor may have been activated. The brushroll will stop, the light on the handle will flash white and the machine may switch off. To reset, remove the brushroll and clear any obstruction. Wait 1 minute before refitting the brushroll, switch the machine on and recline.

Press the brushroll cover button and pull to open the cover.

Rinse the brushroll in water (40˚ max) and allow to dry before refitting.
Unhook the brushroll cover and remove.
The brushroll can be dried and stored in the rinse/storage tray.
To remove the brushroll, pull the tab on the end and remove from the brushroll housing.
Clean the brushroll housing and brushroll cover of any dirt and debris.

REFITTING THE BRUSHROLL
To refit the brushroll, slide the right side into the machine and then push the left side in until it clicks.
Hook the brushroll cover onto the tabs on the base and close until it clicks into place.
CHECKING FOR BLOCKAGES
Check for blockages and use a blunt object to remove the blockage.

TROUBLESHOOTING
THERE IS AN ACCESSORY MISSING
Check the contents on the back of the box.
WHY DOES THE MACHINE HAVE NO POWER?
• The battery is not fitted correctly. See ASSEMBLY page 7.
• The battery has no charge. See CHARGING THE BATTERY page 6.
• The motor thermostat may have tripped. Empty the dirt water tank and check for blockages.
Clean the filter and allow the machine to cool for approximately 1 hour. If you have washed the filter and separator, wait 24 hours to fully dry before placing back on the machine. See CLEANING THE FILTER AND SEPARATOR page 11.
• The brushroll motor sensor has been activated. To reset remove the brushroll and clear any obstruction. Wait 1 minute before refitting the brushroll. Switch the machine on and recline. See REMOVING AND ADVANCED CLEANING OF THE BRUSHROLL page 13.
WHY WON’T THE MACHINE PICK UP?
• The float in the dirty water tank may have been activated. Empty the dirty water tank and wait for the float to settle before re-starting the machine. See EMPTYING THE DIRTY WATER TANK page 10.
• The brushroll cover may not be correctly fitted. See REMOVING AND ADVANCED CLEANING OF THE BRUSHROLL page 13.
• The dirty water tank may not be assembled correctly or the lid may not be pushed down securely. See EMPTYING THE DIRTY WATER TANK page 10.
• Check for blockages and clear. See CHECKING FOR BLOCKAGES page 14 and MACHINE RINSE AND BRUSHROLL QUICK CLEAN page 12.
• Check the filter located on the dirty water tank lid for dirt and debris. The filter should be washed after every use and replaced every 6 months. See CLEANING THE FILTER page 11.
• Check the separator for dirt and debris and clean if necessary. SEE CLEANING THE SEPARATOR page 11.
WHY WON’T THE WATER/SOLUTION DISPENSE?
• Squeeze the trigger on the handle to release water and solution.
• Make sure the water/solution tank is fitted securely. See FILLING THE WATER/SOLUTION TANK
page 8.
• The water/solution tank valve may be stuck. Hold the water/solution tank over the sink and press the valve underneath to release.
• The water/solution tank is empty. Refill the tank. See FILLING THE WATER/SOLUTION TANK page 8.
WHY WON’T THE BRUSHROLL TURN?
• The machine is not reclined. Place your foot on the base and pull the handle backwards to recline. See OPERATION page 9.
• The brushroll may be obstructed or may not be correctly fitted. See REMOVING AND ADVANCED CLEANING OF THE BRUSHROLL page 13.
WHY IS THERE A FLASHING WHITE LIGHT ON THE HANDLE?
• The brushroll motor sensor has been activated. To reset remove the brushroll and clear any obstruction. Wait 1 minute before refitting the brushroll. Switch the machine on and recline. See OPERATION page 9 and REMOVING AND ADVANCED CLEANING OF THE BRUSHROLL page 13.
