This Handheld is intended for household use only and NOT for commercial or industrial use
• This handheld is for indoor use only.
• For dry debris use, not to be used on wet surfaces.
• Keep ngers, hair and loose clothing away from moving parts and openings whilst using the handheld.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
• Only Vax recommended charger, tools and accessories should be used with this handheld.
• Always make sure lter and dirt container are tted correctly before using your handheld.
• Always turn o the handheld and disconnect the charger before carrying out any maintenance.
• Always unplug the charger when it is not in use.
• Turn o all controls on the handheld before disconnecting or connecting the charger.
• Always protect the charger cable from heated surfaces or near open ames.
• Use only CE approved 13amp extension cords, non-approved extension cords may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the extension cord as it could be a trip hazard.
• Always carry the handheld by the handle.
• Store the hand held in a cool, dry area. If lters have been cleaned as per user the guide instructions ensure they are thoroughly dry before storing away.

• Don’t charge the handheld outdoors.
• Don’t use this handheld if it has been dropped, damaged, immersed in water or left outdoors.
• Don’t use the charger if the cord or plug is damaged. Please contact our Customer Care Line on: 0330 026 8455 (Mon – Fri 8:30am to 6:30pm, Sat 9:00am to 5:00pm).
• Don’t handle the plug or use the handheld with wet hands.
• Don’t throw the handheld into re or expose to high temperatures, as the handheld contains a rechargeable battery which may cause damage or burst.
• Don’t pull or carry this handheld by the charger cord. Don’t use the charger cord as a handle, pull the charger cord around corners or sharp edges or close a door over the charger cord. Don’t unplug handheld by pulling on the charger cord.
• Don’t attempt to remove blockages with sharp objects as this may cause damage to your handheld.
• Don’t use the handheld charger with incorrect voltage as this may result in damage or injury to the user. The correct voltage is listed on the ratings label.
• Don’t vacuum up hot coals, cigarette butts, matches or smoking hot burning items or use in an area where there may be harmful uids (chlorine, bleach, and ammonia drain cleaner).

Charging
Important: Fully charge battery before rst use, initial charging time 15 hours, subsequent full charges of 8 hours. Failure to do this will result in poor charging and performance. Make sure the handheld is in the “o“ position before charging.
CAUTION: Always switch o the handheld before connecting or disconnecting the tools.
To turn the handheld on, push the on/o switch forward to the “I” position. Push on/o button backwards to the “O” position to turn the handheld o.
Plug charger into mains and plug charger lead into back of handheld.
Choose an accessory and push into the nozzle.
The indicator light will illuminate when charging and remain illuminated when fully charged.
Unplug charger from mains, remove charger lead from the back of the handheld.

Using your machine
Do not unplug the handheld during the initial charge.

CAUTION: Switch o and unplug handheld from mains before performing maintenance or troubleshooting checks.
IMPORTANT: Do not use the handheld without lter in place.
IMPORTANT: The handheld vacuum contains a battery that must not be disposed of in your domestic waste. Check with your Local Authority for recycling advice.
NOTE: The condition of the lter eects the performance of your handheld. Please check and clean the lter at least every three months, replace lter every 9-12 months.

Press dirt container release button, pull to remove dirt container.
Pull to remove lter from the lter frame. Tap lter over a bin to remove any dirt/debris.
Ret lter into lter frame. Line up lter frame with dirt container, push into place.

Pull to remove lter frame and lter from the dirt container.
Rinse lter under warm water.
Line up bottom of dirt container with main body, push until clicks into place.
Empty dirt container into a bin.
Leave to dry for 24 hours or until fully dry before placing back into the handheld.
Emptying the dirt container
• Check the ‘This pack contains’ panel on the box to make sure the part is included with your machine.
• The nozzle or tools may be blocked, check for blockages and remove.
• The dirt container may not be correctly tted, remove the dirt container from the machine and check it’s assembled correctly and ret ensuring it’s locked into place.
• The lter may be clogged, clean or replace the lter. Go to ‘Taking care of your machine’.
• The dirt container may be full, empty the dirt container. Go to ‘Using your machine’.
• The battery charge is getting weak, let the battery run until it stops and recharge.
• The charger lead may not be fully inserted into the back of the handheld, check the charger and insert correctly.
• Check the charger is plugged into the mains and power is switched on.
• Charger plug or lead is damaged contact Vax customer service on 0330 026 8455.
• Recharge battery, go to ‘Getting started’.
• The unit may have been in the ‘on’ position when charged – move the power switch to the ‘o’ position and charge again.
