8. Donotpull or carry by the cord. Do not use the cordasa handle, close a door on the cord or pull thecordaround sharp edges or corners. Do not runthevacuum cleaner over the cord. Keep the cordawayfrom heated surfaces.
9. Donothandle the plug or vacuum cleaner with wethands.Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces.
10. Do not put any objects into openings.Do not usewithany openings blocked and do not restrictairflow. Keep all openings free of dust, lint,hairor anything that may reduce airflow.
11. Keep hair, loose clothing,fingers and all parts of thebodyaway from op
eningsandmoving parts.
12. Do not pick up hot coals, cigarettebutts, matchesorany hot, smoking or burning objects.
13. Do notpick upflammableor combustiblematerials (lighterfluid,petrol,kerosene,etc)oruseinthe presenceofexplosiveliquidsorvapours.
14. Do not vacuum up harmful or toxicmaterial (chlorinebleach,ammonia, drain cleaner, etc).
15. Do not vacuum up hard or sharp objectssuch as glass,nails,screws, coins, etc.
16. Do not use without the filter
sinplace.
17. Takeextra care when vacuuming on stairs.
18. Keep vacuuming area welllit.
19. Storethevacuumcleanerindoorsinacool,dryarea.
20. Turn off the on/offswitch before unplugging thevacuumcleaner.
21. Use only CE-approved 13 amp extensioncords. Non-approvedextensioncordsmay overheat. Careshouldbe taken to arrange the cord so thatthecord cannot be pulled or tripped over.
WARNING:Alwaysswitch off and unplug thevacuumcleaner from the electrical ou
tlet beforeassembling,opening or emptying the dirt container,orbefore connecting/disconnectingthe attachments.
CAUTION:Thevacuum cleaner is a very
powerfulunit.Before plugging the cord into theelectricaloutlet, make sure the switch is in the ‘off’position.Hold the vacuum cleaner firmly when startingandin use.
IMPORTANT:Ifthe inlet, hose or telescopic
tubeisblocked, switch off the vacuum
cleanerandremove the blockage(s) before re-startingthevacuu
mcleaner.
IMPORTANT:Washingfilters improves
vacuumperformance.Make sure all the filtersarecompletely dry beforeinserting back into thevacuumcleaner.

8. Cleaning Blockages
Turnthevacuum cleaner off and unplug from the electrical outlet.
HOSEBLOCKAGES:Theflexiblehosemaybedisconnectedfromthevacuumcleanerbypressingtheclip ontheconnectorandpullingawayfromthemachine.Carefullyremoveanyblockagesfoundand reconnectthehosesecurely.
ACCESSORYBLOCKAGE:Remove the accessories from the cleaner, carefullyremover the blockagean
dreturnto the cleaner.

Thebrushbar will stop rotating if it is blocked during operation byvacuuming up foreign objects, or if strands of carpet are wrappedaround it. Switch the vacuum cleaner off and disconnectthe power plug from the electrical outlet. Laythe TurboBrush floor head on a flat surface and turn over toexpose the brushbar. Using a pair of scissors, cut through anythreads or hairs caught
bythe brushbar that have
wrappedaround the guides.

thermal cut- out. Iffor anyreason, the vacuumcleanershould over-heat,the thermostat willautomatically turn theunitoff. Shouldthis occur, unplug the vacuum cleaner from the electricaloutletand turn off the switch.Remove thedirt containerand empty. Clean the filters. Vaxrecommendsthat the pre- and post­motorfiltershould be checked and cleaned periodicallydepending on the frequencyof useand the volume ofdirt being picked up oneach occasion.
NOTE: BothPre- and Post-Motor Filters can berinsed in warm water(max 40°C). Allow to airdry for 24 hours beforereplacing. Do NOT useany detergentsor boiling water to wash filter.
