Refuelling:
Fuel filler neck at right rear side of vehicle.
Open tank flap, unscrew fuel filler cap, remove and suspend from tank flap. The fuel tank has a limiting system which prevents overfilling of the tank.
To open completely, locate release lever behind the radiator grille just right of centre - as viewed from the front.
Pull lever and raise bonnet.
Heated rear window, heated exterior mirrors
Heating is only operational with the ignition on.

Depending on engine, rear window heating automatically switches on during diesel particle filter cleaning 3.
Refuelling (continued):
Before refuelling, switch off engine and also shut off external heaters with combustion chambers (identified by stickers on fuel filler cap). Switch off mobile phones.
To close, position fuel filler cap and rotate past resistance until the ratchet on the cap audibly engages. Close tank flap and wipe off any overflowing fuel.
Petrol engines - use unleaded fuel only. See Owner’s Manual for restrictions.
Diesel engines - use diesel fuel meeting specifications of DIN EN 590.
Fuel tank capacity (all models) - 53 litres.
Any dirt or snow on the bonnet can slide down towards the windscreen when the bonnet is opened and block the air intake. See Owner’s Manual for further information.
To hold the bonnet in the open position, insert support rod located at right angles above the radiator grille into the small slot in the underside of the bonnet, at its front edge.
Before closing bonnet, press s upport rod firmly into its retainer. Lower the bonnet gradually and then allow it to fall into the lock under its own weight. Check that the bonnet is locked in position by pulling at its front edge. If it is not engaged, repeat the procedure.
Electronic Climate Control 3; heated rear window, heated exterior mirrors
Heating is only operational with the engine running and switches off automatically after approx. 15 minutes.

Bonnet:
To open the bonnet, pull the release lever located below the instrument panel on the driver’s side.
The bonnet will then be unlocked and will partially open. Return release lever to its original position.
Luggage compartment:
To unlock: Press button q on the remote control and operate button beneath handle.
Electronic Climate Control 3; demisting and defrosting windows:
Press button V; V appears in the air conditioning display.
The temperature, air distribution and fan are set automatically. Windows are quickly demisted and de-iced.
To return to automatic mode: press button V or AUTO.
Easytronic 3: N = Neutral / Start position
o = Centre position

Automatic mode and Manual mode
Only start in N, with foot brake applied.
Always move the selector lever all the way to the stop. Note the gear or mode indicator in the transmission display.
Engine oil:
Check the engine oil level every 300 miles or before embarking on a long journey.
Important:
It is the owner’s responsibility to maintain the correct level of an appropriate quality oil in the engine.
Easytronic 3; Reverse gear: R = Reverse gear (with selector lever lock)
To move selector lever from N to R, first press the button on the lever.
Engage reverse gear only with vehicle stationary.

Manual transmission:
Reverse gear: With vehicle stationary, three seconds after declutching pull the ring up and engage gear.
If the gear does not engage, set the lever in neutral, release the clutch pedal and depress again: then repeat gear selection.

In vehicles with electric windows in all doors 3, the remote control can be used to closed the windows.
The remote control has a range of approx. 5 metres. This range can be affected by outside influences. Aim the remote control at the vehicle to operate.
Handle the radio remote control with care, protect it from moisture and high temperatures and avoid unnecessary operation.
The hazard warning lights come on to indicate that the remote control is operational.
Key with retractable blade 3:
Press button to extend. Press button to retract and audibly engage key blade.

To unlock:
Press button q once on remote control or turn key in driver's door lock towards front of vehicle as far as it goes.
To unlock all doors, press q button twice or turn key in driver’s door lock twice. To unlock from inside, pull up lock button on driver's door.

Adjusting and removing head restraints:
To adjust head restraint: Grip head restraint, tilt forwards and hold, then move into required position.
To remove head restraint: Press and release the two catches then pull and remove the head restraint.
To lock:
Close doors, luggage compartment and tank flap. Press button control or turn key in driver's door lock towards rear of vehicle as far as it goes.
To lock from inside, press lock button on driver’s doors with the doors closed.

Lumbar support 3:
Turn handwheel on outboard side of seat while relieving the load on the backrest.
Adjust lumbar support to suit personal requirements.
Fitting seat belt:
Adjust height such that the belt passes over the wearer’s shoulder and rests against the shoulder. It must not pass over the neck or arm.
Pull belt out slightly, push button on sliding adjuster and slide up to correct height. Allow sliding adjuster to latch audibly into position.
Electronic immobiliser
z Deactivated when key is inserted in
the starter switch.
z Activated when key is removed from
the starter switch.
Engine cannot be started in any other way, so keep spare key in a safe place!
The electronic immobiliser does not lock the doors. Therefore, always lock the vehicle when leaving it unattended and arm the Vauxhall alarm system 3 by pressing button control.

Head restraint position:
The middle of the head restraint should be at eye level. If this is not possible for extremely tall persons, set to the highest position and set to the lowest position for small persons.
Fitting seat belt (continued):
Pull belt smoothly from retractor, guide it across the body and insert latch plate into the buckle. Make certain that it is not twisted. The lap belt must fit snugly across the body. The seat backrest must not be inclined too far back (approx. 25° max.) To release belt, depress red pushbutton on belt buckle.

Steering wheel adjustment 3:
Swivel lever down, adjust height, swivel lever up and engage into position.
Adjust steering wheel only when vehicle is stationary and steering column lock is released.
Adjusting exterior mirror:
Swivel lever to required direction from inside the vehicle.

Correct adjustment reduces dazzle for other road users.
Turn signal lights: Stalk in rest position
Right = Move stalk up Left = Move stalk down
When the steering wheel is turned back, the stalk automatically returns to its original position, except when lane changing.
When lane changing, move stalk to resistance point. When released, the stalk will spring back.

Switching to dipped or main beam:
To switch from dipped beam to main beam, push stalk forwards.
To switch back to dipped beam, push stalk forwards again.
Headlight flash:
Pull stalk towards steering wheel. Main beam is engaged for the duration of activation.
Operating door-to-door lighting 3:
Switch off ignition, remove ignition key, open driver's door and pull turn signal stalk towards steering wheel: Dipped beam remains on for approx. 30 seconds after closing driver's door.
If the driver's door is left open, the lights will go out after approx. two minutes.
Cancel by inserting key in starter switch or by moving turn signal stalk again.

Warning:
In freezing conditions, wiper blades can freeze to the windscreen. Release blades from the ice before starting the vehicle, to prevent wiper motor damage.

For safety reasons, cruise control cannot be activated until the footbrake has been applied once.
Do not use cruise control if it is not advisable to maintain a constant speed (e.g. in situations presenting a danger to yourself and other road users, in heavy traffic or on winding, slippery or greasy roads).
