VZ-TP1064
Lightweight Pro Photo Tripod
Thanks for your purchase of the TP1064. This unit is rugged, light, and easy to use, but we have specific guidelines to ensure that you get your value out of the TP1064. Please read the instructions before operating and note the following warnings:
Whenever adjusting the head, hold on securely to prevent the camera from flopping over.
Additionally, make sure the locking lever * for the camera mounting plate is securely fastened to prevent unwanted wiggle or accidental release of the plate from the head.
Don’t overload the tripod (10 lbs. max) and NEVER lean on it.
We do not recommend transporting the tripod with the camera attached, as the camera is more likely to get damaged this way.
1) Attach the quick-release plate to your camera and tighten the thumbscrew securely.
2) Make sure the head is level and the handle is tightened fully clockwise to prevent tilting, then insert the plate (w/ camera attached) into the socket on the head and tighten the plate locking lever securely *.
3) Extend the legs to the desired height and secure the leg clamps so the legs don’t slide.
4) The sliding latch at the top of each leg allows you to adjust the angle of the leg for a wider or narrower stance.
5) The telescoping center post allows you to fine tune the height of your camera. When the desired height is reached, tighten the thumbscrew to secure the center post position.
6) The head can tilt sideways from a level horizon to a 90 degree position by loosening the thumbscrew above the handle and lifting the camera platform. Tighten the thumbscrew when you find your position. Underneath the platform is a small set screw for fine tuning the horizon level.
*
Should the leg clamps become loose over time, use the supplied socket wrench to tighten them.
