Changing Speed of Scanning Motion.
Whenever SCANNERS™ is active, hold down the "pattern select" button for 3 seconds or more to either speed-up or slow-down the scanning motion. This speed change will change the speed for all patterns.
Trouble Shooting - frequently asked questions!
1: Scanner does not remember pattern! Memory loss will occur whenever the positive wire loses contact with the battery for a moment.
This can occure if the positive wire is attached to the wrong contact on the fuse box or some other location in the vehicle. Try to connect directly to a line that goes directly to the battery positive.
2: Scanner does not work when the alarm is turned on!
If you want the scanner to activate when the alarm is turned on you must connect the yellow wire to the ground output (ignition kill) of your alarm system. DO NOT CONNECT TO THE LED OUTPUT!. the LED output wire only provides 2-3 volts flashing and is not enough to power the scanner. Refer to your alarm installation manual or ask your local dealer for the correct ground output wire.
