Installation Guide
Thank you for purchasing the Varad IL2W, dual 1 watt LED
lighting system with driver. To ensure proper use please
carefully read this installation manual prior to installation.

Precautions
To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not expose the
digital controller to rain or moisture.
To avoid electrical shock, do not open the digital
controller. Refer servicing to a factory authorized
dealer. Do not attempt to disassemble the LED or
damage will occur.
Do not bend the wire away from the
bottom of the LED or water may leak
into the housing.
Function
These 1 watt LEDs are designed to create accent
lighting for automotive interiors. Applications include,
speaker boxes, footwells, amplifier racks, doors and
much more...

Installation of LEDs
Visually inspect for a location to mount the LED. The
light dispersion pattern will vary depending upon the
location of the LED. It is recommended that you power
up the LED and move it around to determine the
location that provides the best lighting. When you have
found a suitable location, begin to install by marking
each drilling point and pre-drill each hole with a 1/8” drill
bit. Mount the LED with supplied tapping screws. Once
again making an effort not to bend the wire away from
the bottom of the LED, so no damage should occur.
Installation of the Controller
Install the Digital Controller inside the vehicle. Find a
location that will allow all the wires to the LEDs to
connect without binding. The location needs to be with
in 144” of the LED.

Connect wiring
harness as indicated below:
· Red wire - Battery Positive, 12v - 24v
· Black wire - Negative (Ground)
· Grey wire - refer to installation with
SL200 / SL210 or stand alone
When all controllers and LEDs are installed you can
proceed to plug all the conectors into the IL2W
controller.
Power Harness
Installation with SL200 / SL210
With the SL200 and SL210
there is an optional LED
expansion port and wire
harness. If you choose, you
can connect the grey
ground trigger wire of the
IL2W to this expansion
connector.
In doing so, this will allow your IL2W to do some of the
same intensity control, strobing, breathing and music
react modes.
Connect wiring
harness as indicated below:
· Red wire - Battery Positive, 12v - 24v
· Black wire - Negative (Ground)
· Grey wire - expansion output on the
SL200, SL210
(NOTE) if using with the expansion output of the SL200
or SL210, Please be aware that the not all strobing and
breathing patterns will function with the IL2W.
Stand alone installation
To install the IL2W in a stand alone application, the grey
ground trigger must be attached to a negative ground
point.
Connect wiring
harness as indicated below:
· Red wire - Battery Positive, 12v - 24v
· Black wire - Negative (Ground)
· Grey wire - Negative (Ground)
Trouble Shooting
System does not turn “ON”
Check to see that the grey wire is grounded or has a
good connection to SL200 or SL210 expansion output.
LED does not work
Check to see that the cable between LED and controller
is not damaged.
Plug into the other port to verify that it is the LED that
is not functioning.
Warranty
Varad's product warranty covers against breakage due to defects in
materials or workmanship for one year from the date of purchase.
Warranty is only valid with proof of purchase from an authorized Varad
dealer. Varad's warranty program does not cover cosmetic damage,
damage due to acts of god, accident, misuse, abuse or negligence to the
product. Repair or replacement as provided under this warranty is the
exclusive remedy of the consumer. Varad shall not be liable for any express
or implied warranty on this product. Except to the extent provided by this
warranty or prohibited by applicable law, there are no implied nor
expressed warranties or merchantability or fitness for a particular
purpose of this product.
