For use with Valor model 1500, 1700 & 1800 Linear Fireplace
Installation Instructions
Note: This kit must be installed or serviced
by a qualifi ed installer, service agency or
gas supplier. These instructions are to be
used in conjunction with the main installation
instructions for the above listed models.
WARNING: If these instructions are not
followed exactly, a fi re or explosion may
result causing property damage, personal
injury or loss of life.
The following kits are required for a
complete installation:
• 1525RGL-1 sides and rear panels or
• 1725RGL-1 sides and rear panels
• 1825RGL-1 sides and rear panels
• 1725RGL-3 glass liners retainer set

Installation
Unpack all cartons carefully, with special care for the
glass panels and the top ceramic panels.
The glass panels are maintained in place in the fi rebox
by the retainer strips and glass anchors.
5. Place the rear glass retainer strips, groove at the
back, on the ledge of the fi rebox behind the burner.
The strip are held in place with the tabs of the
ledge as indicated below.

To achieve the intended eff ect, the liners should be
installed so the smooth side is visible.
1. On each side at the top front of the fi rebox, remove
the existing side panels anchors and discard them.
Replace with those included with this kit.
2. Place one side panel and maintain it in place with a
side anchor provided with this kit.

6. Insert, from the center of the fi rebox, the fi rst rear
panel section - left or right - behind the top rail and
place in the groove of the retainer strip. The left
section will overhang the strip on the left. The right
section will overhang the strip on the right. The
center section straddle both strips.
Note: For 1825RGL, insert the sections from the
center of the fi rebox, upwards, behind the top rail,
then fi t them into the groove of the retainer strips
and slide them into position.
3. Repeat with the other side panel.
4. On the rear of the fi rebox, at the top, back up the two
screws to install rear panel anchors. On the 1800J,
the screws can be seen through the square
holes in the top rail.

7. Insert the second section in the groove of the
retainer strips and slide it to the opposite side.
8. Insert the center section between the side sections
and place it in the groove of both retainer strips.
9. Pull back towards the center the side
sections to close any gap between them.
