Initial Set up:
1.Switching on the navigation system
Remove the protective plastic from the screen and ensure the main power switch on the buttom side of the unit is in the ON position.

Attention: Always leave the main switch in the ON position. The switch should only be set in the OFF position to
preserve battery charge if the unit is to be stored for an extended period of time.
Note:Some settings will be reset.
2.Charging the battery Car adaptor

Attention:It is necessary to charge the battery before initially
power on the device.Please switch on the device when charging.
The charging indicator is red until the navigation system is fully charged.When the navigation device is fully charged the
charge indicator turns green. Note:You can use the navigation system during the charging process.

Attention: Only fix the holder for the
navigation device to the windshield/ dashboard in a position that does not impede driver’s view of the road.
6.Power ON/OFF the device
Press the power button to turn the unit on.The unit will display the main screen. Tap the “V7 Navigation”
button on the screen to start the navigation system.

The Map
When the V7 Navigation first starts, the Map screen appears. From here you can reach all three tabs of the V7 Navigation menu by tapping the button.
On the tab, you can specify your destination as an Address, a POI (Point of Interest), or by its GPS Coordinates. You may also select a destination from Favorites, or one of your recently visited destinations from the History list.
Tap to edit or cancel your route. You can also view detailed trip information or change route parameters.
Tap to change your preferences or advanced features of your device.
Tap to stop or suspend the V7 navigation.
Find an address
From the Find & Go menu, tap to open the list of recent cities and states. If your destination city or state is on the list, tap it to select that location.
Tap Other City if your destination is not displayed. This will take you to the screen where you can specify a new city.
To select a destination out of state, first tap Change State to specify another state. If you need to change the country, tap , and select that country from the list.
After selecting the city, enter the street name of your destination. Once matching street names are found, the list of results will be displayed automatically.
Tap any time to display a full list of matching streets immediately.
If your destination is the center of the city, tap . This feature is useful if you do not have an exact street address.

From the list of matching streets:
Tap a listed search result to select that street,
Or, tap to show only the streets containing a given house number,
Use the buttons to see additional results. After the city and street are selected, you may now enter the house number. The range of available house numbers will be displayed.
Tap to select a cross street, or
Use the keyboard to enter the house number, and tap when finished.
You have now finished setting the destination. Your V7 Navigation will automatically plan your route so that you can begin your trip.
Find a POI (Point of Interest)
To select a POI, open the Find & Go
menu and tap to view the list of POI groups. From this list you can:
Tap a POI group to open a list of subcategories.
Tap to search POIs by name.
For a complete list of POIs near your reference location, tap .
Use the buttons to see additional POI groups.
To find POIs around a different reference location, tap .
A list of POIs will be displayed.
Tap to narrow the list by entering a part of the POI name.
To see the name and address of additional POIs, tap the buttons.
When you select an item from the list, the View POI screen will display the details of the selected POI.
Tap the button in the bottom left corner to return to the list and select a different POI, or
To complete your search, and return to the Map screen with the selected POI highlighted on the map, tap in
the View POI screen.

Using the selected map point
Whenever you select a point on the map, you can open the cursor menu to set up or manage routes. To open the cursor menu, tap :
Tap to replace the previous destination with this point.
To add this point as a stop along your route, tap . Tap to add the point to the end of the route.
Tap to see the list of nearby POIs, then tap to save this point as a new POI.
To save this point as a location of a road safety camera, tap .
The route itinerary with a list of route maneuvers can be displayed by tapping .
To save a camera, first select the type of the camera, the direction of the monitored traffic, and set the speed limit. The V7 Navigation will warn you when you approach one of these points in the given direction. (Warning: Detecting speed cameras may be prohibited by law in certain countries.)
The map screen
The V7 Navigation has a map screen for both map browsing and navigation. The map looks like a conventional road-map. The blue arrow represents your current position, and the green line shows the recommended route.
If there is an active route, the three data fields at the bottom will display time, distance and other route information. Also, the turn preview in the top left corner will display the type and distance of the next maneuver.
Use the and buttons to zoom in or zoom out.
is a three-state button. The map can be displayed in three different views according to the state of the button.
You can select Overview , 2D North-up or 3D track-up.
All sounds can be muted by tapping .
The satellite dish icon opens the GPS Data screen.
If you have moved the map, or modified the zoom level, the button appears. Tap this button to release the hold and return back to your current position and re-enable Smart Zoom.

Settings
The Settings menu lets you fine-tune the way your V7 Navigation works.
Tap to set the general parameters,
like Speed Warning Options or Night Mode.
Tap to adjust keypad tones and voice guidance settings,
Tap to reach the TMC (Traffic Messaging Channel) Control Center to setup Real-Time traffic (where available),
Tap to manage which POIs will display on the map,
Tap to set the language of text and voice prompts, or units of measurement.
Tap to stop or suspend the V7 navigation.
You will find similar controls on all settings screens:
Tap Switches to turn features on or off ,
Move the handle of Sliders to adjust numeric values, or
Tap List selectors to change their values.
