SAFETY INFORMATION
Please read and understand this entire manual before attempting to assemble, operate or install the product.
WARNING
Shut off power at the circuit breaker or fuse panel before removing the old fixture or installing the new one.
CAUTION
DO NOT USE THIS FIXTURE WITH A DIMMING CIRCUIT. If you presently have dimmer
controls, you will need to remove them and replace them with regular electrical switches. If you have a three-way dimmer, you will have to replace it with a regular three-way switch. If you are unfamiliar with electrical installations, it is recommended you have a qualified electrician do your installation.
PREPARATION
Before beginning assembly of product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with package contents list and hardware contents list. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to assemble the product.
Estimated Assembly Time: 45 minutes
Tools required for assembly (not included): phillips screwdriver, flathead screwdriver, safety glasses, electrical tape, pliers, wire cutters, wire strippers, step ladder, hammer.

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
With power disconnected to the electrical box, remove the old fixture. If the old fixture is attached to an electrical box having more that has two (2) wire leads, use tape and markings to keep track of which wires were attached together.
Remove diffuser (C) from fixture pan (A). One of the
1. end caps (D) is fitted with a spring (E) that allows the end
1
cap (D) to pivot away from the diffuser (C). Pull back on the end cap (D) until it clears the diffuser (C) and pull the diffuser (C) up and away and remove. If the end cap (D) does not easily pivot away from the diffuser, DO NOT force it, try the opposite end cap (D).

3. Located in the center of the fixture pan (A) is a round knockout surrounded by 8 keyhole knockouts in various orientations.
Remove the knockouts on the back of the fixture pan (A) that closely match the positions of the machine screws (BB) attached to the electrical box.
It is recommended that a flathead screwdriver (not included) be used to pry the knockout free. If the knockout does not break free, use pliers and bend it back and forth until it snaps off. Trace the black supply lead, white supply lead and the ground wire (F) through the knockout and to the back side of the fixture pan (A).
4. If alternative support is needed to hold the fixture in place, there are several prepunched holes in the fixture pan (A) that can be used to attach the fixture to the ceiling with wood screws (CC). Position the fixture pan (A) over the machine screws attached to the electrical box and, once in place, mark the desired holes on the ceiling. Drywall anchors (DD) need to be installed prior to wiring if fastening to drywall. Remove the fixture and drill a 1/8 in. pilot hole into the marked locations. Insert the drywall anchors into the holes and drive into place until flush with the surface of the drywall. NOTE: If contact is made with wood when drilling the pilot hole, DO NOT install the drywall anchor and instead use a wood screw (CC).

6. For safety and proper operation, the fixture must be properly grounded. A green or bare copper ground wire

(F) is preattached to the fixture pan (A). If the electrical box is made of plastic and has a green or bare copper ground wire inside, the fixture ground wire (F) must be spliced to the green ground wire in the electrical box using one of the wire nuts (AA). If the electrical box is metal and part of a grounded system and has no visible ground wire, the metal electrical box and metal conduit
EE
are already grounded at or near the circuit breaker panel. The fixture pan (A) will be grounded via the machine screws (BB). If unsure if the electrical box is properly grounded, or the box is plastic and has no ground wire, or are unfamiliar with the methods of properly grounding the fixture, consult a qualified electrician.

7. Pull both the white and black fixture wire leads through the center hole and make connections on the back side of the fixture. Connect the supply leads from the electrical box to the fixture wire leads using the wire nuts (AA). The black lead from the fixture pan (A) is spliced to the black supply lead, and the white lead from the fixture pan (A) is spliced to the white supply lead. Ensure the wire nuts (AA) are tight. Wrap electrical tape around the wire nuts (AA) to prevent them from coming loose. Carefully push the spliced wires back into the electrical box and remove support chain (EE).

10. Install (2) 32-watt T8/3,000K up to 4,100K/10,000 hour/F32T8 fluorescent bulbs (not included). Do not use any other wattage of linear fluorescent bulb. Install the bulb into the bulb sockets (B) by aligning the pins of the bulb with the slot in the bulb sockets (B). Using your thumb and forefinger, press the metal ends of the bulb, and roll the bulb forward until it rotates 90 degrees inside the bulb socket (B), making contact between the bulb pins and the bulb socket (B) contacts. Repeat for each bulb.
11.
While holding the diffuser (C) with one hand, maneuver the diffuser (C) into the end of the fixture that does not have a spring attached to the end cap (D) until the diffuser (C) seats into the end cap (D).

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
Periodically clean the fixture using a mild, non-abrasive soap based cleaner and soft cotton cloth. Do NOT use solvents, cleaners containing abrasive agents, ammonia, or surfactants. When cleaning the fixture, make sure you have the power turned off and do not spray liquid cleaner directly onto the diffuser, bulb, socket, ballast, or wiring.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Minor problems often can be fixed without the help of an electrician. Before doing any work on the fixture, shut off power supply at the circuit breaker panel to avoid electrical shock.
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE CORRECTIVE ACTION
Fixture doesn’t light.
Circuit breaker trips when light is turned on.
In the unlikely event that your fixture’s ballast or lamp socket(s) fail, they can be replaced by a qualified electrician. For further information regarding these replaceable parts, please have your electrician contact our technical support number at 1-866-994-4148.
