C2Paired Compässo Channels
Before beginning installation of the C2Paired COMPÄSSO™Channels, check the enclosed bill of materials to ensure that all parts and components are present and undamaged. Read all installation instructions first and familiarize yourself with all parts and components. This is extremely important because parts will become permanently damaged if they are installed incorrectly!
To help with identification, all parts are poly-bagged and labeled.

Step 1 Establish an "X" and "Y" baseline on the
floor or ceiling following the diagram provided with your components. Baselines are typically referenced off a structural building element.
Step 2 Determine all hanger wire locations indexed
off the "X" and "Y" baselines. These markings indicate where the hanger brackets will be attached.
Step 3 Project each hanger location to the deck or
structural ceiling and attach wires, cables, or rods with the appropriate fasteners. It’s very important that all wires are plumb so as not to pull on the assembly. Bridge or trapeze accordingly with appropriate structural members.
Step 4 Attach the hanger brackets at the required
height using hanger wire, aircraft cable, or threaded rods.

Step 5 Position one side of the Paired COMPÄSSO
channels on the floor, following their part identifications. Using the reference dimensions on the drawing, align the Paired C
OMPÄSSO Channels with the hanger wire
locations.
Step 6 Transfer the hanger wire locations to
the top of the Paired C These markings indicate where each hanger bracket will be attached.

Step 7 Snap the first channel onto its corresponding
hanger brackets.
Tip: Start at an intersection; if there is no intersection, start near the middle of the assembly.

Step 8 If the installation is to form a circle, the
inside channel should be installed first.
Step 9 If the channels have intersection notches,
make sure they line up properly.
Step 10 Continue on, referring to the shop drawing
and adding additional hanger brackets to ensure uniform spacing between the channels.

Step 11 Connect channels by using splices to
join them.
Basic Installation
Step 12 Use splice covers to cover the channel
joints. Splice covers can also be used to cover any slight gaps or uneven field cuts.

Step 1 Align intersection notches as the paired
channels are snapped onto the hanger brackets.
Step 2 Attach a hanger bracket to the face of the
notched C by one-half-inch metal screws.

For a through-intersection, attach a hanger bracket on each channel.
Step 3 Snap the intersecting channels onto the
hanger brackets and secure the channels to maintain a good connection throughout installation.

Step 1 Corners are formed using notched and
scored trim for outside corners and premitered trim for inside corners.
To create an outside corner, bend notched corner trim along the score to the desired angle and slide a standard splice part way in on each side.
Corner Installation
Step 2 Slide the corner unit into place to join the
