➀Product Overview
⌘Function
The Hybrid series obtain products line to meet office usage. It can backup data between SATA
and USB. Two models are available in different speed selection. The high-speed model
supports high speed data transfer for SATA HDD/SSD at 18GB per minute and 2.4GB per
minute for USB/USB-HDD. Hybrid series are also equipped with four erase modes for meeting
different data security level. Comply with the U.S. Department of Defense's erase standard
5220.22-M. It is important to make sure the data inside the disregarded HDD will not be
retrieved and can be safely transferred.

It will copy source System and Files instead of the whole media. The system will analyze the
source HDD/USB and identify the data area to copy. As long as the source data within the
target capacity, the copy will be processed. FAT16/32/64, NTFS, Linux (ext2/ext3/ext4) formats
are supported for this copy mode, with additional format HFS+, HFS, HFX are supported by
HDD.
➋ All Partitions: Support All Formats
Copy all of the partitions area bit-by-bit no matter there is data exist or not. The capacity of
target has to be bigger than the partition required capacity.

※Troubleshooting When Duplication Fails
Check if too many bad tracks on HDD/USB can cause duplication failures.
Check the setting of function “6.2 Skip Error”.
● Make sure all ports/cables are properly and firmly connected.
● Make sure the capacity of source is smaller than target. Please go to the function to check capacity, “5.1 Show Disk Info” Or “5.2 Show USB Info”.

4.DoD EraseComp
(2)Full Erase
The function will erase the whole sectors on the target. It will take longer time than quick
erase. It will erase the data in HDD, please make sure you have backup all important data
before using this function.
(3)DoD Erase – full erase for 3 times
This is to comply with the U.S.A. Department of Defense (DoD 5220) standard to fully erase the
HDD three times bit-by-bit to overwrite device data and guarantees data is unrecoverable. This
DoD erase method will erase HDD over each sector three times: the first time with zeros (0x00),
second time with F (0xFF) and the third time with random characters. It will destroy the data in
HDD, please make sure you have backup all important data before using this function.
DoD Erase Method
(4)DoD EraseComp – full erase 3 times + compare once
Besides DoD erase 3 times, this function will also execute comparison to make sure the
random bit correctly written. It will destroy the data in HDD, please make sure you have
backup all important data before using this function.

5.Secure Erase
Note
Secure Erase can only operate with SATA HDD model that support the command.
Please DO NOT disrupts Secure Erase during operation. Otherwise, it can cause irretrievable
damages.
DoD EraseComp Method
(5)Secure Erase (Available for HQ200-H Only)
The international authorized high standard Secure Erase function. It overwrites every single
track on the hard drive with factory default methods. Even HPA/DCO or other data area which
are not able to load, can be erased all together.
