1. Einleitung
Vor Inbetriebnahme Ihres Presswerkzeuges lesen Sie sich die Bedienungsanleitung sorgfältig durch.
Benutzen Sie dieses Werkzeug ausschließlich für den bestimmungsgemäßen Gebrauch unter Berücksichtigung der
gültigen Sicherheits- und Unfallverhütungsvorschriften.
Diese Bedienungsanleitung ist während der gesamten Lebensdauer des Werkzeuges mitzuführen.
Der Betreiber muss • dem Bediener die Betriebsanleitung zugänglich machen und
• sich vergewissern, dass der Bediener sie gelesen und verstanden hat.
2. Gewährleistung
Unabhängig von Ihren Gewährleistungsansprüchen gegenüber Ihrem unmittelbaren Kaufvertragspartner, übernehmen wir eine Haftung für Sachmängel von 24 Monaten ab der Auslieferung bei uns oder bis zu 10.000 Verpressungen, je nachdem was früher erreicht wird. Voraussetzung für unsere Haftung ist eine sachgemäße Bedienung und
die Einhaltung der geforderten regelmäßigen Wartungen des Werkzeugs durch den Werkzeug- Kundenservice.
Unsere Sachmängelhaftung umfasst den Austausch oder die Reparatur des mangelhaften Werkzeugs. Darüber hinausgehende Ansprüche bestehen nicht, wenn wir nicht unmittelbarer Kaufvertragspartner sind.

3. Beschreibung des elektrohydraulischen Presswerkzeuges
3.1 Beschreibung der Komponenten
Das elektro-hydraulische Werkzeug ist handgeführt und besteht aus folgenden Komponenten:

3.2 Kurzbeschreibung der wesentlichen Leistungsmerkmale
Sicherheitsmerkmale:
Das Presswerkzeug ist mit einem Nachlaufstopp ausgerüstet, der den Vorschub nach Loslassen des Bedienungsschalters sofort stoppt.
Eine eingebaute weiße LED beleuchtet den Arbeitsbereich nach Aktivierung des Bedienungsschalters und schaltet
sich nach 10 s wieder aus. Dieses Merkmal läßt sich auch ausschalten
Hydraulic Pressure Check, kurz HPC, kontrolliert den Öldruck direkt im Ölkreislauf der Werkzeuge und sorgt so für
die kontinuierlich gleichbleibende Qualität der Verpressungen.
Bei jedem Presszyklus wird der erreichte Pressdruck über einen Drucksensor ermittelt und mit dem geforderten Mindestwert verglichen. Bei Abweichungen von dem festgelegten Arbeitsdruck ertönt ein akustisches Warnsignal.

Funktionsmerkmale:
Das Presswerkzeug besitzt einen automatischen Rücklauf, der den Kolben nach Erreichen des max. Betriebsüberdruckes automatisch in die Ausgangslage zurückfährt.
Ein manueller Rücklauf ermöglicht dem Bediener im Falle einer Fehlpressung den Kolben in die Ausgangslage zurückzufahren.
Der Presskopf ist stufenlos
zugänglichen Stellen.
Das Presswerkzeug ist mit einer Mikroprozessor-Steuerung ausgestattet, die z.B. den Ladezustand des Akkus angibt und eine Fehlerdiagnose durchführt, wobei der Bediener durch unterschiedliche optische Warnsignale über die
Art des Fehlers informiert wird.
Energiesparfunktion durch Motorabschaltung nach dem Pressvorgang.
Das kompakte ergonomisch geformte Gehäuse besteht aus 2 Komponenten. Der Griffbereich ist durch seine Gum-
mierung besonders rutschfest und zusammen mit dem schwerpunktoptimierten Gehäuse liegt das Werkzeug besonders gut in der Hand und ermöglicht so ermüdungsfreies Arbeiten.
Alle Funktionen unserer Werkzeuge können über einen Bedienknopf gesteuert werden. Dadurch bekommen wir eine
einfache Handhabung und besseren Halt als bei einer Zweiknopfbedienung.
Durch die Li-Ionen Batterien, die weder Memory Effekt noch Selbstentladung kennen, hat der Bediener auch nach
langen Arbeitspausen immer ein einsatzbereites Werkzeug. Dazu kommt noch ein geringeres Leistungsgewicht mit
50% mehr Kapazität und kurzen Ladezeiten.
Das eingesetzte Öl ist
und mit dem Blauen Engel ausgezeichnet. Das Öl ist für sehr niedrige Temperaturen geeignet und hat exzellente
Schmiereigenschaften.
Es kann mittels eines USB Adapters (Zubehör) nach Arbeitsende ein Protokoll über die ordungsgemäße Funktion
des Presswerkzeugs über den PC ausgedruckt werden.

4. Hinweise zum bestimmungsgemäßen Gebrauch
4.1 Bedienung des Werkzeuges
Ein Pressvorgang wird durch die Betätigung des Bedienungsschalters ausgelöst.
Der Pressvorgang wird gekennzeichnet durch das Schliessen der Pressbacken. Durch die auf der Kolbenstange
sitzenden Antriebsrollen schliessen sich die Pressbacken scherenförmig.
Achtung
Eine notwendige Bedingung für eine dauerhaft dichte Verpressung ist, dass der Pressvorgang immer been-
det wird, d.h. die Pressbacken sich vollständig schliessen.
Achtung
Die Eignung des Werkzeuges in Dimension und Einsatzbereich (Gas/Wasser/Heizung etc.) entnehmen Sie
bitte den Unterlagen Ihres Systemherstellers.
Achtung
Der Pressvorgang kann jederzeit durch Loslassen des Bedienungsschalters unterbrochen werden.
Achtung
Nach Beendigung des Pressvorganges muss zusätzlich noch eine optische Kontrolle vorgenommen wer-
den, ob sich die Pressbacken vollständig geschlossen haben.
Achtung
Fittings, bei denen der Pressvorgang abgebrochen worden ist, müssen ausgebaut oder nachgepresst wer-
den.
Achtung
Das Werkzeug darf nicht ohne Pressbacken betätigt werden.
Achtung
Zur eigenen Sicherheit beachten Sie bitte die gültigen Sicherheitsvorschriften der Berufsgenossenschaft.
Es ist darauf zu achten, dass die Pressbacken komplett geschlossen sind und sich keine Fremdkörper (z.B. Putz
oder Steinreste) zwischen den Pressbacken befi nden.

4.2 Erläuterung des Anwendungsbereiches
Es handelt sich um ein handgeführtes Werkzeug zum Aufpressen von Fittings zum Verbinden von Verbundrohren.
Das Werkzeug darf nicht eingespannt werden. Es ist nicht für den stationären Einsatz ausgelegt.
Das Werkzeug ist nicht für den Dauerbetrieb geeignet. Es muss nach ca. 50 Verpressungen hintereinander eine
kurze Pause von mindestens 15 min. eingelegt werden, damit dem Werkzeug Zeit zur Abkühlung gegeben wird.
Achtung
Bei zu intensivem Gebrauch kann es durch Erhitzung zu Schäden am Werkzeug kommen.
Achtung
Beim Betrieb des Werkzeuges kann es durch den eingebauten Elektromotor zur Funkenbildung kommen,
durch die feuergefährliche oder explosive Stoffe in Brand gesetzt werden können.
Achtung
Das elektro-hydraulische Presswerkzeug darf nicht bei starkem Regen oder unter Wasser eingesetzt werden.
4.3 Verarbeitungshinweise
Verarbeitungshinweise zum richtigen Verpressen von Fitting und Rohr entnehmen Sie bitte der Anleitung des Systemherstellers. Zwecks Sicherstellung einer ordnungsgemäßen Verpressung und Gewährleistung des arbeits- und
funktionssicheren Gebrauchs darf das Werkzeug nur mit den freigegebenen Systembacken eingesetzt werden. Verwendet werden dürfen nur Pressbacken/Presseinsätze mit dauerhaften Kennzeichnungen, aus denen Rückschlüsse
auf Hersteller und Typ gezogen werden können. In Zweifelsfällen ist vor einem Verpressen beim Systemanbieter
oder Maschinenhersteller rückzufragen.
Achtung
Verbogene oder defekte Pressbacken dürfen nicht mehr eingesetzt werden.

4.4 Wartungshinweise
Die zuverlässige Funktion des Presswerkzeugs ist abhängig von einer pfl eglichen Behandlung. Diese stellt eine
wichtige Voraussetzung dar, um dauerhaft sichere Verbindungen zu schaffen. Um diese sicherzustellen, bedarf das
Werkzeug einer regelmässigen Wartung und Pfl ege. Wir bitten folgendes zu beachten:
1. Das elektro-hydraulische Presswerkzeug ist nach jedem Gebrauch zu reinigen und ein trockener Zustand ist vor
Einlagerung sicherzustellen.

2. Um eine einwandfreie Funktion des Werkzeugs sicherzustellen und möglichen Funktionsstörungen vorzubeugen,
sollte das Presswerkzeug nach Ablauf eines jeden Jahres oder nach 10.000 Verpressungen zur Wartung oder zum
Service eingeschickt werden.
3. Die Bolzenverbindungen, die Antriebsrollen und deren Führung sowie die beweglichen Teile der Pressbacke sind
leicht einzuölen.
4. Presswerkzeug und Pressbacken regelmäßig z.B. durch eine Probepressung auf einwandfreie Funktion prüfen,
bzw. prüfen lassen.
5. Pressbacken immer sauber halten. Bei Verschmutzung mit einer Bürste reinigen.
Die werkseitige Wartung des Werkzeugs (siehe ASC) besteht aus Demontage, Reinigung, Austausch evtl. verschlissener Teile, Montage und Endkontrolle. Nur ein sauberes und funktionsfähiges Presssystem kann eine dauerhaft
dichte Verbindung gewährleisten.
Im Rahmen des bestimmungsgemäßen Gebrauchs dürfen vom Kunden nur die Pressbacken (Seite I, Bild 1.8;
Seite IV, Bilder 18+19) gewechselt werden.
Achtung
Werkzeug nicht öffnen! Bei beschädigter Versiegelung entfällt der Garantieanspruch.

5. Verhalten bei Störungen am Presswerkzeug
a.) Regelmäßiges Blinken/Leuchten der roten Leuchtdiode (Seite I, Bild 1.3)
siehe Tabelle 1. Sollte sich die Störung nicht abstellen lassen, ist das Werkzeug an das nächst gelegene
Service Center (siehe Anhang ASC 1-8) zu schicken.
b.) Das Presswerkzeug verliert Öl.
Das Werkzeug ist einzuschicken. Nicht öffnen und die Geräteversiegelung nicht entfernen.
c.) Die rote LED (Seite I, Bild 1.3) blinkt 3x und gleichzeitig ertönen 3 Warnsignale (siehe Tab. 1).
Schwerer Fehler! Wenn dieser Fehler wiederholt auftritt ist das Werkzeug einzuschicken. Nicht öffnen und die
Geräteversiegelung nicht entfernen.
Bei einmaligem Auftreten dieses Fehlers muß das Fitting ausgebaut oder nachgepresst werden.

1. Introduction
Before starting to use the tool please read the instruction manual carefully.
Use this tool exclusively for its determined use and follow all applicable safety instructions. This instruction manual
has to be carried along during the entire life span of that tool.
The operator has • to guarantee the availability of the instruction manual for the user and
• to make sure, that the user has read and understood the instruction manual.
2. Warranty
Regardless of the warranty with your direct sales contract partner we can accept liability claims due to material defects up to 24 months from our delivery date or up to 10,000 tool cycles, whichever comes sooner. Conditions of our
liability are contingent upon proper tool operation and compliance with the required periodic maintenance of the tool
through the tool service center. Our warranty policy accounts for the exchange or repair of defective tools. Further
claims will not be realized when we are not the direct sales contract partner.

3. Description of the battery operated electro-hydraulic pressing tool
3.1 Description of the components
The hydraulic tool is a hand guided tool and consists of the following components:

3.2 Brief description of the important features of the unit
Safety features:
The unit is equipped with a special brake which instantly stops the forward motion of the piston/dies when the trigger
is released.
A white LED illuminates the working space after activating the trigger. It automatically switches off 10 sec. after releasing the trigger. This feature can be deactivated (see page V)
Hydraulic Pressure Check, HPC for short, monitors the oil pressure in the tool’s oil circuit, hence ensuring a continuous, consistent press quality.
During each pressing cycle, the achieved pressing pressure is determined by a pressure sensor and compared to the
required minimum value. An audible warning signal sounds if the achieved pressure differs from the specified working
pressure. The user will know immediately that the fi tting must be checked and repressed or replaced as required.
Functional features:
The hydraulic unit incorporates an automatic retraction which returns the piston into its starting position when the
maximum operating pressure is reached.

A manual retraction allows the user to return the piston into the starting position in case of an incorrect crimp.
The pressing head can be smoothly turned by 350° around the longitudinal axis in order to gain better access to tight
corners and other diffi cult working areas.
The unit is equipped with a microprocessor (page I, pic. 1.3) which shuts off the motor automatically after the com-
pression is completed, indicates service intervals, checks battery capacity and does a trouble check e.g. informing
the user through optical warning signals about the kind of error.
Power saving function through motor switch-off.
The ergonomically formed compact housing is made of 2 components. The grip area is rubber coated and is therefore
non-slip. Together with the improved center of gravity the tool allows fatigue-free working.
All tool functions can be controlled by one trigger. This results in an easy handling and a better grip compared to a
two button operation.
Li-Ion batteries do neither have a memory effect nor self discharge. Even after long periods of non operation the tool
is always ready to operate. In addition we see a lower power weight ratio with 50% more capacity and shorter charging cycles compared to NiMH batteries.
The oil used in our tool is highly biologically degradeable and not hazardous to water and has been rewarded „

At the end of a job a print-out via a USB adapter can be generated documenting the proper function of the tool.

4. Remarks in respect of the determined use
4.1 Operation of the tool
The pressing cycle is started by actuating the trigger (page 1, pic. 1.7). The pressing cycle is characterized by the
closing motion of the jaws. Due to the linear movement of the rollers on the piston the jaws close scissors like.
Attention
A necessary condition for a permanently leaking free connection is that the pressing cycle has to be com-
pleted and the jaws are closed.

The pressing process can be interrupted at any moment by releasing the trigger.

For information concerning the suitability of the tool with regard to dimension and fi eld of application (gas/
water/heating etc.), please refer to the documentation of your system manufacturer.

The user has to check by optical means whether the pressing jaws are completely closed.
Attention
If a pressing cycle has been interrupted the fi tting has to be either dismantled or pressed a second time.
Attention
Do not operate the tool without jaws.
Achtung
For your own safety please observe all national and European safety regulations.
The user needs to make sure that the pressing jaws are completely closed and that there are no foreign objects (e.g.
plaster or stone fractions) between the pressing jaws.

4.2 Explanation of the application range
The hand guided pressing tool is to mount fi ttings on multi Layer. The unit is not supposed to be restrained in a vise.
It is not allowed to use the tool in a stationary application.
The tool is not designed for continued pressing operations. After a sequence of approximately 50 completed compressions you have to make a break of 15 min. to give the tool time to cool down.

explosive liquids and materials

Electric tools must not be operated in pouring rain or under water.
4.3 Mounting instructions
Please reference the assembly manual of the systems supplier before mounting the fi ttings on the pipes. In order to
safeguard a proper pressing and to guaranty a safe and reliable handling the machine must only be operated with
released system jaws. If the markings on the tool and pressing jaw do not match respectively if there are no assembly
instructions the user has to contact the provider of the system to request a compatibility statement.
Attention
Do not use bent or damaged pressing jaws.
4.4 Service and maintenance instruction
The reliable performance of the tool is dependent on careful treatment and service. This represents an important
condition to safeguard a lasting connection. To safeguard this the tool have to be maintained and serviced regularly.

We would like to draw your attention to the following points:
1. The electric-hydraulic pressing unit have to be cleaned and dried after each use before being put into the transpor-
tation case.
2. In order to guaranty a proper function of the machine the pressing tool should be returned to the manufacturer or
one of our Authorized Service Centers (ASCs) after the red LED indicates Service (after 10.000 pressing cycles)
or once every year whatever occures fi rst.
3. The bolt joins, the rollers and their guides as well as the moveable parts of the pressing jaw must be oiled regularly
in small amounts.
4. Check through test compressions or have the tool manufacturer check the tool and pressing jaws regularly for
proper function.
5. Keep pressing jaws clean. Remove dirt with a brush.
In order to avoid possible malfunctions we offer you a manufacturer service consisting (see ASC) of disassembly,
cleaning, exchange of possibly worn out parts assembly and fi nal control. Only a clean and properly functioning press
system can over the time safeguard a leaking free connection.
Within the determined use of the tool only the pressing jaws (page I, pic. 1.8; page IV, pic. 18+19) are permitted to
be changed by the customers.
Attention
Do not damage the seals of the tool. If the seals are damaged the warranty is invalidated.

5. Troubleshooting
a.) Constant fl ashing/indicating of the light diode display (page I, pic 1.3)
see table 1. If the failure can not be solved return the tool to the nearest service
center (see attachment ASC 1-8).
b.) The tool loses oil. Return the unit to the manufacturer. Do not open it and damage the seal of the tool.
c.) The red LED fl ashes 3x and simultaneously 3 acoustic warning signals occure (see table 1).
Serious fault! If this fault occures repeatedly return the unit to an Autorized Service Center (ASC). Do not open
it and damage the seal of the tool.
In case of a one time occurence the fi tting has to be dismantled or pressed a second time.
