AC Power is not present. Check the breaker or fuse box for power. If the breaker or fuse box looks normal, call a licensed electrician for assistance.
The test button has been pressed. The test sequence lasts for approximately 3-10 seconds.
Silence Mode. The alarm is in silence mode that was initiated by pressing and holding the test button for 3 seconds or longer. The silence mode will last for approximately 3 - 5 minutes.
Low Battery. Turn off AC Power and replace the 9V battery (see user's manual for recommended type of battery). Also check to make sure the polarity is correct for t battery terminals, and the battery pull tab has been removed.
Please take all precautions if an alarm sounds by calling an Emergency Service and
Horn sounds when no visible hazard present
Horn does not sound when other alarms are active or horn does not sound when interconnected alarms test button is pressed

getting out of the home. If there is no visible hazard present, turn off AC Power at t circuit breaker or fuse box and disconnect the alarm from the mounting bracket and make sure the connector plug is securely attached. Press the test button to see if the alarm is functioning properly. Check that the alarm is mounted in the correct location away from areas with high humidity or turbulent air (refer to user's manual).
Press and hold the test button longer. Verify the remote smoke alarms are receiving power and are functioning properly. Turn off AC Power at the circuit breaker or fuse box and disconnect the alarm from the mounting bracket and make sure the connector plug is securely attached. Have the wiring checked by a licensed electrician to make sure all the interconnect points are connected.
