Introduction
Congratulations on purchasing a Mirage. This state of the art automated professional luminary includes the latest feature backed by 1 year warranty. Prior to use, we suggest that you carefully read all of the instruction.

Cautions
1. Other than to change the bulb, do not open the unit. There are no user serviceable part
inside. Refer to qualified service personnel for service. This unit should be cleaned only with a damp cloth. Avoid solvents and other cleaning detergents.
2. NEVER OPEN THIS UNIT WHEN IT IS HOT AND/OR IS CONNECTED TO A POWER SOURCE.
3. NEVER USE THIS UNIT IN A WET AND/OR DUSTY ENVIRONMENT OR IN THE OPEN AIR.
4. KEEP THE UNIT’S OPTICS CLEAN TO AVOID LIGHT POWER DECREASE.

Operation
1. Plug the unit to the power source by means of the power cord. Put the power switch on the body of a unit in “on”.
WARRNING !
After switching the unit on you can for 4 seconds fill the vibration and noise of the stepper motors getting in the starting position, it’s a normal procedure which will harm you in the beginning only and is normal at every start of each session.
2. Using “up” and “down” buttons you can shift the operation mode of the “main menu”
- Test
- DMX controller mode
- Internal program
- Sound activated mode
- Slave mode
- Service mode
3. Press “Enter” button to confirm the chosen mode.

Bulb Installation/Replacement
1. Before opening the unit, make sure that the unit is cool and it is not connected to any power source.
2. Remove the 2 screws from the rear part of the unit.
3. Pull back the cover with lamp holder and the bulb.
4. Install / Replace the bulb.
5. Close the cover and replace the screws.
Note: Sometimes after changing the bulb, you will need to adjust it in the reflector using the three screws surrounding the lamp holder. To make this process more convenient please keep to the following procedure:
Set the unit in the “Service” option ( see p # 7 for details).
After this chose “Manual operation” ( see p # 11 for details). Put the channel “Dimmer” to full capacity, set “Color” and “Gobo” to a white circle produced on the light-colored wall or
plane surface 3-4 m distant. Rotating three regulating screws make the white spot evenly bright .

Main menu
You can shift the different operation modes being in the “main menu” Each time you begin the operation you could see on the LCD display one of the items of a whole “main menu”:
DMX controller mode
Chain the DMX controller using an XLR cable ( is not included) to a DMX connector of a unit .
(1st contact – ground, 2nd contact «-», 3rd contact«+»)
After getting in a starting position the unit would be ready to start in the operation mode it has been put before you plugged it to the power source. Using “up” and “down” buttons set on LCD display the three digit number from 001 to 506 which would be the channel number of the unit. To change the number press ”mode” button the number would blink operating with “up” and “down” buttons shift to the desirable number of a channel and press “enter” button. The unit will get in starting position and would operate in accordance with the chosen number of a channel.

3. DIMMER (brightness of the bulb)

Test mode
To check the unit’s functioning ability is a prior task of the “test mode”. With the help of “up” and “down” buttons get the LCD display show “tst” (“test menu”), then press “enter” button, after getting in a starting position (as described before) the unit will operate
in a test program finishing which it will shift to a “Sound activated mode the “tst” indication would blink.
Use “up” and “down” buttons to choose the operation mode you need Let’s have a look at the points of the “main menu” more thoroughly.

WARRNING !
If the DMX chain lacks a unit or something is wrong with the controller the LCD display would blink every 2 seconds. When operation is normal the LCD display is stable.

Internal program mode
To shift from one program to another press the ”mode” button (the channel number on the LCD display would blink Using “up” and “down” buttons you can chose the program number. Press “enter” button, after getting in a starting position (as described before) the unit will operate in a test program you have chosen . When you shift to “Pr.-“ of a
“program menu”. The unit would randomly choose the program from the four optional.
Sound activated mode
This mode means that the operation is taking place automatically in accordance with the music pressure not lower than 40 Db reaching the built in microphone of the unit. After 3 seconds of functioning in this kind of the mode the built in processor finds out the rhythm and chooses a proper tilt and pan rotation speed .
You obtain 5 sound activated programs . To chose a needed one press the ”mode” button (the number on the LCD display would
blink) Using “up” and “down” buttons you can chose the program number. Press “enter” button, after getting in a starting position it operates in a chosen program of “Sn menu”. When you get the “Sn.-“ on the LCD display the unit randomly would choose the sound activated program number

The music pause for 6 seconds or more the unit switches off the bulb and resume its work after the music starts once more.
Slave mode
To the unit operating in either Internal program mode or Sound activated mode can be linked 4 groups of “slave” units. Each group could contain several units, the number of them depends on the quality and the length of the DMX cable. Starting this operation mode you get “SL menu” with four options on the LCD display from SL.0 up to SL.3 . The “slave” with “0” will operate synchronically with “master” other 3 indexes show the number of steps the “slave” unit is behind the ”master”. To start with this operation please follow these steps:
1. Chain the units by means of DMX (special cable with XLR connectors ) cables (not included) as it is shown on the picture below.
2. Set the “master” unit either in Sound activated mode or in Internal program mode
3. Use “up” and “down” buttons on the “slave” unit until you get on the LCD display “SL.0“. If you want the “slave” to be some steps behind the “master” during the operation session press the ”mode” button (the number on the LCD display would blink) Using “up” and “down” buttons you can choose the program number. Press “enter” button, after getting in a starting position the unit operates in a chosen program.

If something is wrong (you have installed more than one “master” unit or the chain of “master” and “slave” units is connected to the DMX controller the LCD display would blink every 2 seconds. When operation is normal the LCD display is stable.

Service mode
With the help of the “up” and “down” buttons set “SEr” on the LCD display (“Ser menu” is a high level menu represented on the picture below).
Accumulated operating time info
After display shows “SEr” press the ”mode” button with the help of “up” and “down” set “inF” on the LCD display, after that press “Enter” button it will open menu (“inf menu”):
Тo navigate in this portion of menu use “up” and “down” buttons , to choose the item of menu press the ”mode” button , doing so you will see “blb.” (“bulb menu”) press “Enter” to proceed or ”mode” button to quit.
Navigating by pressing “up” and “down” buttons you can find the total operating time after you set “tot” on the LCD display then press “Enter” the number which appears will show the accumulated operating time of the bulb in tens of hours (if you have got an additional dot after second unit plus 10000 hours to the number on display and 20000 if the dot appears after the first one).
Examples – the total accumulated operating time is 5000 hours
the total accumulated operating time is 15370 hours (10 000 +
5370)
To return to “ inf menu” press “Enter”
Navigating in “bulb menu” using “up” and “down” buttons set “rES” on display, then press “Enter” and you find out an accumulated operating time of the last bulb (in tens of hours).
Examples – the operating time of the last bulb is 10 hours
When you replace a bulb and want to start a counter from zero point you need being in the “rES menu” to press and hold the ”mode” button not less than for 3 seconds.

After that set “tot” on the LCD display press “Enter” the number which appears will show the accumulated operating time of a unit in tens of hours (if you have got an additional dot after second unit plus 10000 hours to the number on display and 20000 if it appears after the first one)
If you are interested in the accumulated operating time of the unit follow the procedure the way you have done dealing with the accumulated operating time of the bulb. For this purpose beeing in “inf menu” with the help of “up” and “down” buttons set “Unt “on display, then press ”mode” button and you get inside of “Unit menu“.
Navigating in “Unit menu“ using “up” and “down” buttons set “rES”, then press “Enter” and you get an accumulated operating time after the last maintenance (in tens of hours).
Example – the total accumulated operating time is 10100 hours
(10000 +100)
After scheduled service to start the counter of operating time from zero being in
“rES” menu point press and hold the ”mode” button not less than for 3 seconds.
Example
120. – the operating time of the last bulb is 1200 hours
Proper indication on the LCD display
In order to get the data from LCD display when the unit is installed upside - down you can change the represented data on the LCD display from normal to the upside-down reflection.
Starting from the “Ser menu” (see the previous page for the explanation how to get there ). After display shows “SEr” press the ”mode” button with the help of “up” and “down” buttons set “dSP” on the LCD display , then press “Enter” doing so you will open “ dSP menu” (“dSP menu”) to navigate in this portion of menu use “up” and “down” buttons
If you get “UP” on display it means that the represented data is normal for the unit which is standing on the floor.
When display indicates “dn” it means that the reflected data is normal for the unit installed upside-down (in this case the dots are not reflected on the display).
Pressing “Enter” in both cases would activate the up or upside-down reflection accordingly.

Processor vertion
In “SEr menu” after display shows “SEr” press the ”mode” button, then with the help of “up” and “down” buttons you get set “CPU” on the LCD display, after that press
“Enter”. This information could be of help when you address to the service center.
Rotation direction
In “SEr menu” after display shows “SEr” press the ”mode” button with the help of “up” and “down” set “dir” on the LCD display , after that press “Enter” button it will
open “ dir menu” (see below).
To navigate in this portion of menu use “up” and “down” buttons. The first index on the LCD display shows the direction of rotation of the “pan” motor the last index – the direction of rotation of the “tilt” motor: “n” – normal, “r”- reversed.
To choose the combination needed press “Enter” button
Examples
“pan” rotation – normal, “tilt” rotation – normal.
“pan” rotation – reversed “tilt” rotation – normal
“pan” rotation – normal, “tilt” rotation – reversed
“pan” rotation – reversed, “tilt” rotation – reversed
Regulation of the built in microphone sensitivity
Being in “SEr menu” press the ”mode” button , then with the help of “up” and “down” buttons you set “SEn” on the LCD display, then press “Enter” you will get “S.08” as it shown on the picture:
Switch on the music reproduction source with acquired pressure and using “up” and “down” buttons get the display blink in accordance with the music rhythm, press “Enter” button then press ”mode” button to get to the “main menu”.
Choose “Sound activated mode” press “Enter” button to confirm your choice.

Limitation of “Pan” and “Tilt” angles
Being in “SEr menu” press the ”mode” button with the help of “up” and “down” buttons set “AnG” on the LCD display after that press “Enter” it will open “AnG menu” (see below).
To navigate this part of menu use “up” and “down” buttons
You would deal with three options:
No limitation of “Pan” and “Tilt” angles.
“Pan” -180 grad. and “Tilt” without limitation.
“Pan” -90 grad. and “Tilt” 90 grad.
Default options
Being in “SEr menu” press the ”mode” button with the help of “up” and “down” buttons set “dEF” on the LCD display after that press “Enter” and hold it for 6 seconds till the moment the “dEF” on the display will stop to blink, press ”mode” button to return to the “main menu”.
Doing this you will return to the following options:
1. The rotation of “pan” “tilt” motors will get back to normal in the “dir menu”.
2. No limitation of “Pan” and “Tilt” angles in the “AnG menu”.
3. The built in microphone sensitivity will be S.08 in the “SEn menu”.
Manual operation
Being in “SEr menu” press the ”mode” button with the help of “up” and “down” buttons set “Con” on the LCD display after that press “Enter” it will open “ Con menu” (“Con menu”)
You will need ”mode” button. to navigate this particular menu . To control the unit in this manual operation mode you need to deal with “up” and “down”
buttons. To quit press “Enter”
