MS840 Wireless Scanner

Quick Reference Guide

Connection

Before connecting the MS840 cradle to your host PC, please fully charge the
battery of MS840. Connect the power supply to power source and to the MS840
cradle. It takes approximately 5 hours to fully charge the battery.

When battery is charged connect the cradle to the host computer.

Device Manager will show “USB Human Interface Device”,
and if you double click it, it will show “Wireless Base” on its
properties window.

Cradle Mode (Default), Connection of MS840 through cradle

1.Connect power supply to the cradle. Turn on your computer. Connect the
cradle to the USB, RS232, or PS2 port of your computer, depending of the
cable delivered with your MS840.

2.Determine that the power LED on the cradle is bright in solid green and the
communication status LED on the cradle is bright in solid blue.

3.Scan the Cradle Mode barcode.

4.Scan the barcode label on the bottom side of the cradle (Host Address).

5.Determine that the scanner LED turns off and the
scanner beeps shortly one time with a high tone
and that the LED on the cradle flashes in blue
(communication status indicator).

6.Connection can be tested by pressing the Pager

button at the cradle.

Cradle Mode

Cradle-less Mode,Direct connection of MS840, without cradle

1.Turn on your Host Device (Host). Scan the Cradle-less Mode barcode.

Cradle-less Mode

2.The LED of MS840 will flash in blue. Set your Host; wirelessly search for
the MS840 scanner. When your Host locates a “HID SCANNER”, select
it.

3.You will get a pairing pin code which needs to entered into MS840. Scan
the “Link Keys” barcode and scan the labels according to the pin code.

Anschluss

Bitte laden Sie den Akku des MS840 vor dem Anschließen der
MS840-Basisstation an Ihrem Host-PC vollständig auf. Verbinden Sie das
Netzteil mit einer Steckdose und der MS840-Basisstation. Es dauert etwa 5
Stunden, bis der Akku vollständig geladen ist.

Sobald der A kku gela den ist, verbinden Sie die Basisstation mit dem
Host-Computer.

Der Geräte-Manager zeigt „USB-HID (Human Interface
Device)“ und nach einem Doppelklick „Wireless Base“ im
Eigenschaftsfenster an.

Basisstation-Modus (Standard), Anschluss des MS840 per

Basisstation

1. Verbinden Sie das Netzteil mit der Basisstation. Schalten Sie Ihren Computer
ein. Verbinde n Sie die Basisstation je nach dem mit Ihrem MS840
gelieferten Kabel mit dem USB-, RS232- oder PS2-Port Ihres Computers.

2. Prüfen Sie, ob die Betriebs-LED an der Basisstation grün und die
Kommunikationsstatus-LED an der Basisstation blau
leuchten.

3. Scannen Sie den Strichcode des Basisstation-Modus.

4. Scannen Sie das Stichc ode-Etikett an der Unterseite der Basisstation
(Host-Adresse).

5. Stellen Sie sicher, dass die Scanner-LED erlischt, der
Scanner einen kurzen, hohen Signalton ausgibt und die
Kommunikationsstatus-LED an der Basisstation blau
leuchtet.

6. Die Verbin dung kann getestet werden, indem Sie die

Pager-Taste an der Basisstation drücken.

Crad le M ode

Guía de referencia rápida

Conexión

Antes de conectar el conector del MS8 40 a su ordenador host, cargue por
completo las pilas. Conecte la fuente de alimentación a la toma de corriente y al
conector MS840. Se tardan aproximadamente unas 5 horas en cargarse las
pilas por completo.

Cuando las pilas estén cargadas, conecte el conector al equipo host.

El Administrador de Dispositivos mostrará “Dispositivo de
Interfaz Humana USB” y si hace doble clic sobre el mismo le
mostrará “Base Inalámbrica” en la ventana de propiedades.

Modo con conector (predeterminado), conexión de MS840 a través

del conector

1. Conecte la fuente de alimentación al conector. Encienda su ordenador.
Dependiendo del cable incluido con su MS840, conecte el conector al
puerto USB, RS232 o PS2 de su ordenador.

2. Determine que la LED de encendido del conector está encendida en verde
sólido y que la LED del estado de comunicación del conector está
encendida en azul sólido.

3. Escanee el código de barras en el modo con
conector.

4. La etiqueta del código de barras está ubicada en el
lateral inferior del conector (Dirección Ho st ).

5. Determine que la LED del escáner se apaga, que desde
el escáner suena un pitido una vez en un tono alto y
que la LED del estado parpadea en color azul
(indicador del estado de comunicación).

6. Puede probar la conexión presionando el botón

Guide de référence rapide

Connexion

Avant de connecter le support MS840 à votre PC hôte, veuillez charger
entièrement la batterie du MS840. Branchez le cordon d’alimentation sur une
source d'alimentation et sur le support MS840. Il faut approximativement 5
heures pour charger entièrement la batterie.

La batterie se chargera automatiquement lorsque le support est connecté à
l’ordinateur hôte.

Le Gestionnaire de périphériques affich e « Périphérique
interface humaine USB », et si vous double-cliquez dessus, il
affiche « Base sans fil » dans sa fenêtre des propriétés.

Mode Support (défaut), Connexion au MS840 avec le support

Branchez le cordon d'alimentation sur le support. Allumez votre ordinateur.

Connectez le support à un port USB, RS232 ou PS2 de votre ordinateur, selon
le câble fourni avec votre MS840.

2. Vérifiez que la LED d’alimentation sur le support
est allumée en vert et que la LED du statut de
communication sur le support est allumée en
bleu.

3. Numérisez le code-barres du mode Support.

4. Numérisez le code-barres au-dessous du support (Adresse hôte).

5. Vérifiez que la LED du scanneur s'éteint et que le
scanneur fait un bip sous peu avec une tonalité élevée
et que la LED du statut de communication sur le
support clignote en bleu (indicateur du statut de
communication).

6. Vous pouvez tester la connexio n en appuyant sur le

bouton Pager sur le support.

C radle-less Mode

Mode Sans support, Connexion directe au MS840 sans support

1. Allumez votre appareil hôte (Hôte). Numérisez le code-barres du mode
Sans support.

Cradle-less Mode

2. La DEL du MS840 clignotera en bleu. Réglez votre hôte, recherche sans
fil du scanner MS840. Lorsque votre hôte indique un "HID SCANNER",
