TOOLS REQUIRED
It is recommended that when installing any low voltage fixture that you have (at a minimum) the following items: voltage meter, amp probe, wire nuts, and assorted hand tools
1. Determine fixture location. Dig a 5” hole and bury the fixture. The proper depth should leave the upper edge of fixture ¾” or more above ground. This will prevent excessive moisture from building up in the fixture. In addition, you should dig the hole deep enough to allow for at least 6” of gravel. This will help dissipate water away from the fixture.
2. Coil 1 ½ -2 feet of excess wire at the fixture so as to be able to pull the lamp out of the fixture for future maintenance and re-lamping.
3. Simply pull the 25’ wire lead to your connection point (Hub). Separate the two wires and connect one each to the provided Hub connectors. Even though polarity is not an issue, it is recommended that you always match the polarity, that is to say put the lettering-to-lettering wires and the ribbed to ribbed wires together. While not necessary we do recommend that you bury all additional wire at the fixture, rather than cutting off the excess. This helps maintain flexibility and even voltage.
IMPORTANT LENS OPTIONS:
portrait we have provided the below described lenses. These are intended to allow you to provide the desired level of light, as well as reduce the effects of glare.
1) HEX ALUM.BAFFLE: Use to reduce glare.
2) CLEAR LENS: Use for maximum light output.
3) DE-OP (FROSTED) LENS: Use to reduce lamp output and soften an object.
4) AX-OP (LINEAR) SPREAD LENS: Use to spread out light for broader coverage.
5) VI-OP (DIMPLED) LENS: Use to diffuse and reduce sty ration rings.
APOLLO: To attach any of the extra lenses, remove the top brass ring and insert the additional desired lens. Replace the brass ring and
lens to the composite can and rotate brass ring until pem nuts drop into composite can reliefs.
