INTRODUCTION: Congratulations and thank you for purchasing A6M4/A8M4/A10M4 powered mixer. These powered mixers are representation of UNiKA's continuing commitment to produce the best and highest quality audio products at an affordable price. These powered mixers are designed to offer excellent sound, high reliability combining versatility and high power in all its models. Versatile for capacity from 6 to 10 channels, inputs for CD player, 7-band graphic equalizer ± 12 dB, maximum output power of 420W rms (@2ohm) and auxiliary inputs and outputs. Please read and understand this manual completely before attempting to operate the unit.
UNPACKING: As part of our quality control, each powered mixer has been thoroughly tested and has been shipped in perfect operating condition. Carefully check the shipping carton for damage that may have occurred during shipping. If the carton appears to be damaged, carefully inspect your unit for any damage and be sure all accessories necessary to operate the system have arrived intact. In the event damage has been found or parts are missing, please contact your dealer for further instructions.

FRONT PANEL
1. LOW IMPEDANCE CHANNEL INPUT (LOW Z)
Connect a microphone or a s imi lar s our ce us ing a X LR pl ug.
2. HIGH IMPEDANCE CHANNEL INPUT (HIGH Z)
Connect an instrument o r a sim ila r sou rce t o the c ons ole u sing a ¼ " TRS phone plug of three termina ls.
3. CHANNEL GAI N CON TRO L (GAIN)
It allows to adjust the level of s ign al th at ea ch of t he ch ann el contributes to the master section helping mix and balance the signa ls of e ach c han nel c orr ect ly. It is recommended that this control be l ess t han 60% of its travel (thus gainin g a uni t gai n) be for e inc reasing the gain of the master control (8) in order to obtain the best quality a nd th e low est n ois e lev el in t he sounds reproduced by the horns.
4. CONTROL OF CH ANN EL' s HIG H FREQUENCIES (HIGH)
It allows to adjust the intens ity o f the a cut e sou nds o f eac h channel independently aff ect ing m ain ly th e brightness of the same. In the c ent ral p osi tio n the r esp onse will be flat (not accentuated or attenuated). Turning the control to the left attenuates the high frequenci es an d tur nin g to th e rig ht is a ccentuated. The control of high frequ enc ies c ove rs a ra nge ± 1 2dB @ 1 0 KHz.
5. CONTROL OF CH ANN EL' s LOW F REQUENCIES (LOW)
It allows to adjust the intens ity o f the b ass s oun ds of e ach c hannel independently. In the cent ral position the response w ill b e fla t (no t acc ent uat ed or attenuated) by turning the control to the left the low frequencies are att enu ate d, tu rni ng it t o the r igh t are accentuated. The low frequen cy co ntr ol ha s a range of ± 12dB @ 80Hz and main ly affects sounds like the guitar bass or bass drum.
6. CONTROL OF CH ANN EL EFFECTS (FX)
It allows to send the signa l of an y cha nne l ind epe nde ntly to an external effect or to the dig ita l ech o module built into the uni t . In th e ext rem e lef t pos iti on th e signal that it provides will be null. Turning the control to the right increas es th e sig nal .
7. MASTER CONTROL OF GAI N (GA IN)
It adjusts the level of the sign al th at it i nje cts t o the i nte rna l amplifier. It is recommended to first set the individual gain co ntr ols o f eac h of th e mai n cha nne ls at least 60% of their travel, thus obtaining a unit gain before increasin g the m ain g ain i n ord er to o bta in the best quality and the lowest sound level in the sounds reproduced by th e hig h fre que ncy h orn s.

8. AUXILIARY INPUT (AUX. IN)
It allows you to input an extern al si gna l suc h as a CD p lay er, etc. with 225mV line output through the use of a ¼ "monaural phone plug . The level of this signal will be determined by the effe ct ga in control (level).
9. CONTROL OF AUX-IN & EXTERNAL EFFECT RETURN LEVEL (FX LEVEL)
It acts on the auxiliary signa l inp ut IN a nd on t he in put s ign al of FX return. These signals can be equalized and inje cte d dir ect ly in to th e mas ter s tage.
10. RETURN OF EFFECTS (FX RETURN)
External Eff ect s ign al input through the use of a ¼ "monaural phone plug, the input level w ill a lso b e determined by the Effe ct level control of the master section.
11. SIGNAL OF INP UT CH ANN ELS THAT SENDING TO EXT ERN AL EFFECT UNIT (FX SEND)
It allows you to extract indep end ent s ign al fr om ea ch ch annel to be injected into an external eff ect s processor using a ¼ "mona ura l pho ne pl ug. The magnitude of the signal is determine d by th e effect control of each channel s ele cte d to be s ent t o the p roc ess or.
12. POWE ON LIGHT INDICATOR (ON)
It will illuminate when t he sw itc h on th e bac k of th e con sole is enabled in position switched on.
13. CLIP IN DIC ATOR (CLIP)
Illuminates when the am pli fic ati on st age o f the c onsole is causing a level of audio distortion. To avo id such distortion, redu ce th e out put l eve l wit h the m ast er gain control of the master section, or with the level controls of each in put c han nel .
14. RECORDING OUTPUT (TAPE O UT)
It delivers the audio sig nal c omi ng fr om th e mix o f all i nput channels to an external audio recorder, this signal is sending from th e pre -eq ual ize r of th e mas ter section.
15. 7-BAND GRAPHIC EQUA LIZ ER (E Q)
Master output Graphic Equa liz er, it a llo ws be tte r sound quality by accentuating or attenuating frequency signals, th e fre que ncy b and s of 60 Hz, 1 50Hz, 400Hz, 1KHz, 2.5KHz, 6 KHz and 15KHz in an adjustable range of +/- 1 2dB .
DIGITAL ECHO EFFECT
16. DELAY TIME CONTROL (TI ME)
It controls the time elapsed b etw een t he re pet iti ons o f the signal obtained from any of the input channels. Turning to the m ini mum p osi tio n giv es th e reverb effect. The o per ati ng range is between 20 and 160 milliseconds.
17. DEPTH CONTROL (DEP TH)
Adjusts the number of times th e ori gin al so und f rom a ny of t he main channels is repeated. Turning to the maximum position give s an ec ho effect.The Depth controls effec t the a mou nt of d ela yed signals that are mixed in with the origina l sig nal , hig her d ept h set tings make the delayed copies louder than the original signal.
18. ECHO DIGITAL MODULE OUTPUT LEVEL (LE VEL )
Controls the sound effects signal level that is provided by this module to the master output s ect ion o f the console. In the minimum p osi tio n the o utp ut of t his m odu le is null canceling the effect.
19. USB GAIN CONTROL (US B LEVEL) Controls the volume level of the included MP3 player.
20. MP3 PLAYER (USB INPUT)
Input connector for USB memo ry de vic es fo r the i nte rna l MP3 player. To control the player use the included remote contr ol.

24. MAIN SI GNA L RE TUR N (LOOP RETURN)
It allows t o int errupt the p ass age of the main sig nal just betwee n the m aster stag e and t he power amp lif ier to replace i t wit h that obtai ned f rom any externa l processing su ch as a n equaliza tio n. It can also b e use d to inject a co mpl etely different s ign al from the ma ste r stage (such as th at of a monitors sy stem) to the powe r amplifi er in cluded in th e mix er while the main s ign al is drawn fr om th e loop outpu t sen d. The ma ster-amp lif ier circuit i s swi tched off automat ica lly when a ¼ "mo nau ral type phone pl ug is inserted.
25. SPEAK ER OU TPUTS (OUT PUT )
For conne cti on, a ¼ "monau ral p hone plug is used . It is advisable t o use t he correct c ali ber on the con nec ting cable to yo ur sp eakers (do n ot us e instrument ca ble). The internal con nection of the ou tpu t connecto rs is i n paralle l and t he combined min imum impedanc e in th e two output c onn ectors mus t not b e less than 2Ω .
26. OUTPU T FUS E (OUTPUT FU SE)
It has an ele ctr onic overl oad p rotection sys tem in the output s tag e of the power a mpl ifier. The system wi ll disconn ect t he speaker s whe never there is an i mproper condi tio n caused by a sh ort c ircuit or an i mpe dance of less tha n 2Ω in t he power out put . In addition, it s console uses a fu se in series betw een t he power out put and its spe ake r system. If n ece ssary repl ace w ith an equal one.
27. AC POW ER SWITCH (P OWE R)
Allows yo u to co ntrol the on / o ff stat us of t he complet e uni t which will be sho wn by the ON indica tor l ocated on the fron t of th e console. W hen t he console is tur ned on, the trans ien t protecti on sy stem is auto mat ically activat ed at t he output, m ome ntarily disco nnecting the sp eak ers to avoid a ny da mage and the n res etting seconds . Also t he system wi ll be a ctivated just a fter the switch i s brought to the off posit ion thus avoidi ng th e noises pr odu ced by the dis cha rge of the source o n the horns.
28. INPUT F USE ( A.C. FUSE)
For great er pr otection i n the p ower supply the c onsole uses an Ame ric an fuse of slo w fus ion. If nece ssa ry replace i t wit h another of t he sa me type.
29. AC POW ER INPUT
