Windows 98/95 Driver Installation
1. Insert the floppy disk into your floppy drive, if you have not done so already. Windows 98 and 95 automatically recognizes a new PCI Network Controller. Click the Next button to continue.
2. Select “Search for the best driver for your device” and click the Next button to continue.
§ Turn Off your laptop computer.
§ Locate an available Type II PCMCIA slot on your laptop
computer.
§ With the PCMCIA adapter’s 68-pin connector facing the PCMCIA slot and the “PCN300 Ethernet 10/100 PCMCIA Card” label facing up, slide the PCMCIA adapter firmly into the PCMCIA slot.
§ The hardware installation is completed.

3. Make sure “Specify a location” is selected and click the
Browse button. At this point, Windows will ask you to
browse for the folder. Simply select the CD-ROM drive (typically your CD-ROM drive is the D:\ drive.) and click on the Uniden PCN300 Drivers folder and click the OK button. Now click the Next button to continue
4. Windows is now ready to install the driver. Windows will
display “Realtek RTL8139/810X Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC” this is the chipset used for the PC Card adapter. Click the Next button to continue.

5. Windows has completed installing the driver. Click the Finish button to continue.
6. To finish installing the PC Card, you must restart your computer. Click the Yes button to restart your computer.

Windows ME Driver Installation
1. Insert the CD into your CD-ROM drive, if you have not done so already. Windows automatically recognizes a new PCI Device labeled “Realtek RTL8139/810X Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC” this is the chipset used for the PC card. Select “Specify the location of the driver”. Click the Next button to continue.

2. At this point, the following screen will appear. Make sure “CD-ROM drive” and “Specify a location” are selected. Click the Browse button. Simply select the CD-ROM drive (typically your CD-ROM drive is the D:\ drive.) and click on the PCN300 Drivers folder and click the OK button. Click the Next button to continue.
3. Windows is now ready to install the driver. Click the Next button to continue.

4. Windows will indicate that the installation has been completed. Click the Finish button to continue.
5. To finish installing the new hardware, you must restart your computer. Click the Yes button to restart your computer.

Windows 2000 & XP Driver Installation
1. Windows 2000 and XP will automatically install this Plug and Play PC Card. No driver installation is required.
2. To verify the driver installation or locate the PC Card to change network configurations, right click on My Computer and select Properties. Select Hardware and select Device Manager and click on Network adapters. You will find the PCI adapter labeled Realtek: RTL8139 (A)-based PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter if it is installed successfully. The PC Card driver installation is complete.

One Year Limited Warranty
Important: Evidence of original purchase is required for
warranty service. WARRANTOR: UNIDEN AMERICA CORPORATION
(“Uniden”) ELEMENTS OF WARRANTY: Uniden warrants, for one year,
to the original retail owner, this Uniden Product to be free from defects in materials and craftsmanship with only the limitations or exclusions set out below.
WARRANTY DURATION: This warranty to the original user shall terminate and be of no further effect twelve (12) months after the date of original retail sale. The warranty is invalid if the Product is (A) damaged or not maintained as reasonable or necessary, (B) modified, altered, or used as part of any conversion kits, subassemblies, or any configurations not sold by Uniden, (C) improperly installed, (D) serviced or repaired by someone other than an authorized Uniden service center for a defect or malfunction covered by this warranty, (E) used in any conjunction with equipment or parts or as part of any system not manufactured by Uniden, or (F) installed or programmed by anyone other than as detailed by the owner’s manual for this product.
STATEMENT OF REMEDY: In the event that the product does not conform to this warranty at any time while this warranty is in effect, warrantor will either, at its option, repair or replace the defective unit and return it to you without charge for parts, service, or any other cost (except shipping and handling) incurred by warrantor or its representatives in connection with the performance of this warranty. Warrantor, at its option, may replace the unit with a new or refurbished unit. THE LIMITED WARRANTY SET FORTH ABOVE IS THE SOLE AND

The Product should include all parts and accessories originally packaged with the Product. Include evidence of original purchase and a note describing the defect that has caused you to return it.
