Wh a t is S c a nn in g ?
Unlike standard AM or FM radio stations, m ost tw o-way com mu nications
(listed on this page) do not transmit continuously. The
BC80XLT
scans
programmed channels until it finds an active frequency. Scanning stops on
an active frequency, and remains on that channel as long as the
transmission continues. Wh en the transm ission ends, the scanning cycle
resumes until another transmission is received. W hile the
BC8OXLT
scans
channels, it is in Scan m ode. W hen you stop scanning with “MANUAL”
it is in
Ma nual mode.
Wh a t is S e a r c h in g ?
The
BC80XLT
can search 11 bands to find active frequencies. This gives
you the opportunity to find new frequencies that have not been programm ed.
W hile the
BC80XLT
searches for active frequencies, it is in S earch mode.
