UNICORN-COMPUTER
The UC-TS003 video kit is designed for PC to TV application. It only requires a
standard VGA output connector (D-SUB 15PIN, MALE) and 5Volts power (from 2.54
pitch connector, which is the same with the standard 1.44” floppy disk drive’s power
connector).
The UC-TS003 converts the non-interlaced analog RGB and syncs (vertical and
horizontal) signal from a standard VGA source into a broadcast quality NTSC or PAL
video signal. The output format of video signals can be S-VIDEO or Composite.
UC-TS003 can provide 3 kind of signals at the same time: S-VIDEO, Composite and
VGA monitor connector. The input frequency supports up to 800X600@85HZ. It is
an auto detect input video mode and doesn’t need any driver or patch procedure on
system.
The UC-TS003 provides 6 formats of television signals: NTSC, NTSC-EIA, PAL-M,
PAL-N, PAL-BDGHI, PAL-Combination N, with extra functions (options) of:
SCREEN MOVE UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT and SAVE setting reserve.

Hard ware installation:
Step 1: Connecting the JP7 (D-SUB 15PIN) to motherboard by a cable (D-SUB
15 pin male to D-SUB 15 pin female) of below cable:

Step 2: Connecting the JP10 by FDD power connector, which the power supply
can be AT or ATX.
Please note the cable wire of yellow color is near the function key. The UC-TS003
will be damaged when plug the power connector (JP10) by reversed direction.
STEP 3: Connecting the JP1/ JP4 to television by AV or S-VIDEO cable of below.

POWER SUPPLY TYPE SETTING (JP11):
Close 1-2: Power is supplied by the VGA connector’s pin 9. (Not available in all
motherboards)
Close 2-3: Power is supplied by the standard 4 pin power connector of AT/ATX
(JP10).
VGA INPUT CONNECTOR (JP7, JP7-2):
There are 2 connectors (JP7, JP7-2) can be connected to motherboard and just only
one connector can be used at one time. The JP7 is a D-SUB 15PIN, male connector,
which can be directly connected to motherboard.
Another option is to use JP7-2, a 2.54 pitch and 2X8 pin header, which can only used
on UNICORN motherboard.

Adjustment of VGA mode and position of television:
The position of television will change when VGA mode changed (for example: from
640X480 with 16 bits color to 640X480 with 24 bits color.). UC-TS003 provides the
feature to adjust and save position of television by on-board switches.
The green LED will be “turn-on” when any switch was pressed. The adjusted function
is accepted when the switch is released and green LED is turn-off.
The red LED is always on until the input power failure.
Operation guide (make sure first the all H/W configuration was correct):
Step1: Boot system and set the VGA mode (resolution and color depth) as you want.
Step2: Adjust the position of television by these keys:
MOVE UP/ DOWN/ LEFT/ RIGHT.
Step3: Press the SAVE key to save setting and the green LED will flash 3 times.
Step4: Shutdown the system and turn-on again to verify the position of television.
