In order to prevent stainless steel from rusting, it is necessary to treat it frequently and preventatively. Umbrosa recommends cleaning and protecting the
surface regularly. Cleaning can easily be done using standard dishwashing detergents. Afterwards, a protection layer can be applied onto the dry surface with a
silicon spray. In an aggressive environment (maritime climate, chlorine, acid rain, aggressive industrial or urban environment) we recommend to clean the
surface more frequently. Rust can be removed using a cloth and polishing paste. These kinds of products can be bought in do-it-yourself shops, but also in car
specialty stores that sell several “stainless steel polishers”.

Roestvast staal blijft enkel vrij van corrosie, wanneer deze goed en preventief wordt behandeld. Umbrosa raadt bijgevolg aan om regelmatig het oppervlak te
reinigen en beschermen. Reinigen kan eenvoudig met warm water met afwasmiddel zoals “Dreft”. Nadien brengt u op het droge oppervlakte een
beschermlaag aan met bijvoorbeeld Silicone spray. In een agressieve omgeving (maritiem klimaat, chloor, zure regen, agressieve industriële of stedelijke
omgeving), dient men de frequentie van dit preventief onderhoud op te drijven. Wanneer lichte roest zichtbaar is, dient deze te worden verwijderd met doek
en speciale polierpasta. Dergelijke producten zijn te koop in Doe-het-Zelf zaken, alsook in autospeciaalzaken waar men verschillende “stainless steel polishers”
verkoopt.

Pour éviter que L’acier inoxydable corrode, c’est nécessaire de traiter la surface régulièrement. Umbrosa conseille de nettoyer et protéger régulièrement la
surface en utilisant l’eau chaude et un peu de détergent. Après, sur la surface sèche, vous pouvez appliquer une couche de protection avec, par exemple, un
spray de Silicone. Surtout dans un environnement agressif (climat maritime, chlore, pluie acide, environnement industriel ou urbaine agressif ) nous recomman­dons de nettoyer fréquemment la surface. Vous pouvez éliminer des éventuelles taches de rouille avec un chion et du cirage. Vous pouvez trouver ce type de
produits dans des magasins bricolage, mais aussi dans des magasins spécialisés, ou on vend plusieurs “stainless steel polishers”.

Edelstahl bleibt nur frei von Korrosion, wenn dieser gut und Präventiv behandelt wird. Umbrosa empehlt regelmäßig die Oberäche zu reinigen und zu
schützen. Reinigung kann problemlos mit warmem Wasser mit Seife. Danach bearbeiten Sie die trockene Oberäche mit einer Schutzschicht z.B. Silikonspray. In
einem aggressiven Umfeld (Seeklima, Chlor, saurer Regen, aggressive Industrie- oder städtischen Umwelt) sollte mann diese Behandlung häug machen.
Sichtbaren Rost sollte mit Tuch und spezielle Polierwerkzeuge Paste entfernt werden. Solche Produkte ndet man in Baumärkten sowie in Auto Läden wo man
verschiedene "Edelstahl Polierer verkauft".

Cuando el moho visible, se debe retirar con paño y pasta de pulir especial. Estos productos se venden en ferreterías, así como en
tiendas de coches donde uno diferentes vende ’’pulidores de acero inoxidable".

Per prevenire l’arruginirsi dell’acciao inox, è necessario curarlo frequentemente e preventivamente. Umbrosa consiglia di pulire e proteggere frequentemente la
supercie. E’ possibile pulire l’acciaio inox con aqua calda e detergente. Dopo aver pulito la supercie, la potete proteggere applicando sulla supercie asciutta
uno strato protettivo con, per esempio, lo spray al silicone. In un ambiente aggressivo (clima marittimo, cloro, pioggia acida, ambiente aggressivo industriale o
urbano) consigliamo di pulire la supercie più spesso. E’ possibile rimuovere possibili macchie di ruggine con uno straccio e un po’ di lucidante. Questi prodotti
sono disponibili in negozi fai da te, ma anche in negozi specializzati (come quelli che vendono i prodotti per pulire le macchine) che vendono vari “stainless
steel polishers”.

MANUFACTURER WARRANTY & WIND GUIDELINES

Umbrosa strives to develop and produce high-end, high-quality, and sustainable products.
Products are optimized to withstand weather conditions and the environment in which they
are used. All Umbrosa products are extensively tested to guarantee their quality. This includes
tests conducted at the University of Delft (NL) wind tunnel, and component testing with
independent research laboratories.

In case of damage, the Umbrosa products can be repaired. The biggest threat to the lifespan
of an Umbrosa umbrella are the weather conditions and external environmental factors.

Therefore, always provide the appropriate care for any Umbrosa product and never leave it
open unattended.

THE UMBROSA WARRANTY PROGRAM:

• Damage caused by incorrect use or extreme weather conditions such as wind, rain
storm, hail or snow are NOT COVERED under the warranty program.

• When closing the umbrella the strap and protection cover need to be correctly
used. Failure in proper strapping of the umbrella can cause damage even in a
closed position. This type of damage is NOT COVERED in the warranty program.

• Use of mobile or movable feet has its impact on the wind resistance of the umbrella.
Therefore, always select the heaviest available foot to enhance security. Always
contact the distributor should you desire advice on the anchoring method to be
used. www.umbrosa.com and www.shadescapesamericas.com contains a large
amount of information on this topic. Improper mounting of the umbrella is NOT
COVERED in the Umbrosa Warranty.

• Direct and indirect damage caused by a falling umbrella, whether it is in open or
closed position, is NOT COVERED by the warranty.

15-YEAR WARRANTY*

Umbrosa oers a 15-year warranty on all aluminum extrusion proles as used in the Icarus, Eclipse, Spectra, Ingenua, and
Nauta. This warranty only covers damage cased by construction or manufacturing error. Scratches, supercial corrosion,
and wear due to use are not covered by the warranty unless the product is structurally weakened as a result.

5-YEAR WARRANTY*

Umbrosa oers a 5-year warranty on all glass ber ribs as used in Spectra, Icarus, Legno and all welded tubes as used in
Praaex, Evolution Inna, and Basic, Umbrosa oers a 5-year warranty on all stainless steel. Scratches, supercial
corrosion, and wear due to use are not covered by this warranty unless the product if structurally weakened as a result.

3-YEAR WARRANTY*

Umbrosa oers a 3-year warranty on all synthetic parts and all galvanized steel parts. Scratches and wear due to use are
not covered by this warranty unless the product is structurally weakened as a result.

2-YEAR WARRANTY*

Umbrosa oers a 2-year warranty on granite feet, tile feet, and mobile concrete feet. Scratches, supercial corrosion, and
wear due to use are not covered by this warranty. Breakage of the concrete or granite foot due to use in case of strong
wind is not covered under this warranty. In case of breakage, the new replacement concrete part may show a dierence
in color, this is unavoidable. Umbrosa oers a 2-year warranty on all painted parts. Whenever the paint akes o or forms
bubble, Umbrosa will replace the damaged item, or present a custom solution.

(*) Warranty is only applicable when the Umbrosa products are used under normal wind conditions and when they are
thoroughly and regularly maintained as described in the manual under chapter ‘do’s and don’ts’. Direct or indirect
damage caused by incorrect use or wrong installation are not covered by the warranty.

WIND TUNNEL TEST

Wind tunnel tests with permanent mounting of the umbrella have shown Umbrosa products
can withstand wind speeds of over 30 miles/hour (50 km, 6 Beaufort). Damage caused at
unattended moments of by poor mounting or use of weak supports are not covered by our
warranty program.

As wind does not have a constant speed, and as gust of wind are often more powerful than
imagined, we advise that the parasol be closed at all time whenever wind speeds exceed
25 miles/hour (40 km, 5 Beaufort).

Tests conducted by independent laboratories have demonstrated that the corrosion
resistance of Umbrosa products is better than normal. To extend the life of your Umbrosa
umbrella, we advise from time to time be sure to rinse the frame and cloth canopy of the
umbrella using fresh water in order to prevent the build-up of dirt. With intensive usage of
the products in a hostile (sea, sand, chorine) environment, it is highly important to regularly
rinse the frame and cloth canopy of the umbrella using freshwater to prevent the build-up
of dirt and salt residue.

All warranty requests require submittal of the serial number found on the Umbrosa product.
Warranty requests must always be submitted in writing within a reasonable term after the
initial observation of the issue. Umbrosa guarantees that the problem will be solved, be it
through replacement, repair or custom solution. The warranty is always extended with the
duration of “non-usage”. The warranty does not restart in case of replacement with a new
product.

Transportation and performance of repairs are not born by Umbrosa. The Umbrosa warranty
only applies if the product was installed in accordance with the Umbrosa installation manual.
The warranty shall completely lapse in case of use of accessories not approved by Umbrosa.

COMMON SENSE WIND GUIDELINES FROM SHADESCAPES AMERICAS

• When wind is present, immediately move your Umbrosa umbrella out of the tilt position
and into the horizontal position.

• As winds increase collapse the umbrella onto the Evolution Flexible Arm/Holder and
place the strap around the umbrella.

• UMBROSA has wind tested the umbrella in a wind tunnel to 25 MPH when on an
Evolution Flexible Arm/Holder, but as windy conditions develop, remember that wind
never stays at constant speed and wind gusts always are more powerful than expected.

• Make sure to always collapse and strap the umbrella when unattended.

SHADESCAPES AMERICAS DOES NOT COVER DAMAGE FROM IMPROPER MOUNTING,
