SECTION 1
HEB CAMERA HOUSING SERIES INTRODUCTION
1.1 PURPOSE
The HEB10 and HEB12 camera housing series are stylishly and functionally designed enclosures for 1/3” and 1/2” cameras with fixed focal length or standard zoom lenses. This manual describes how to assemble the housing and its optional components, affix the camera, and mount the assembly to a suitable surface.

SECTION 2
HOUSING INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
2.1 HEB10-BK BLOWER KIT INSTALLATION (without heater)
This section contains comprehensive instructions for installing the blower kit into the HEB10, HEB10-01, HEB12 and HEB12-01 camera housing. The HEB10-BK is compatible in both the HEB10 and HEB12 series. If you are also installing the heater, please skip to page 5 for comprehensive instructions. The blower kit is available in a preassembled package with a housing, heater kit, and sunshield under model HEB10-03 or HEB12-03.
1. If applicable, slide the sunshield off the main housing unit.
2. Remove the two Phillips panhead screws located midway up the rear of the housing. Retain the screws and their black rubber gaskets, which were left in the holes on the rear of the housing. (See Figure 1)
3. By sliding the housing shell away from the rear portion of the unit, separate the housing into two sections. Be careful not to disconnect the end of the ground cable that is attached to the housing shell. (See Figure 1)
4. Locate the following parts that are taped to or enclosed in the housing: two black plastic elevation plates, a nylon washer, and three hexagonal screws of varying lengths for camera mounting. Set these parts aside for later use.
5. Remove the standard silver camera mounting plate by unscrewing the two flathead screws located at the rear. Retain the screws. (See Figure 1)

6. Remove the rear of the housing from the base by unscrewing the two Phillips panhead screws. (See Figure 1)
7. Use these screws to replace the rear with the blower unit, being careful not to damage the wiring to the attached circuit board. (See Figure 2)
8. Reattach the standard silver camera mounting plate to the shelf extending from the rear of the housing. Align the holes and secure using the two flathead screws mentioned in step
5. (See Figure 2)
9. Next, mount the blower circuit board on the camera mounting plate. To do this, first place the two plastic spacers on the two holes near the rear of the plate. Set the blower circuit board on top of the spacers, aligning the holes and keeping the wiring on the same side. Insert the small Phillips panhead screws and secure the assembly. (See Figure 2)
10. Connect the external power supply (not included) to the circuit board. The recommended power supply is 24 Vac, 50 VA. (See
Figure 3)
11. To mount your camera, consult the section Camera Mounting for HEB Series Housings on page 7. Begin with step 5. Then see UL-WB+BJ & UL-WBM Wall Bracket Mounting on page 10.

2.2 HEB10-HK/HEB12-HK HEATER KIT INSTALLATION
(without blower)
This section contains instructions for installing the heater kit for the HEB10, HEB10-01, HEB12 and HEB12-01 camera housings. If you are also installing the blower unit, please skip to page 5 for comprehensive instructions.
While this heater kit is sold as an add-on component for the HEB10, HEB10-01, HEB12 and HEB12-01, it is also available in a preassembled package. The HEB10-02 and HEB12-02 are 10­and 12-inch camera housings respectively with an installed sunshield and heater. The HEB10-03 and HEB12-03 add a blower kit to this package.
1. If applicable, remove the sunshield by sliding it off the main housing unit.
2. Loosen the two Phillips panhead screws located midway up the rear of the housing. Leave the screws intact in the rear portion of the housing. (See Figure 4)
3. By sliding the housing shell away from the rear portion of the unit, separate the housing into two sections. Be careful not to disconnect the end of the ground cable that is attached to the housing shell. (See Figure 4)
4. Locate the following parts that are taped to or enclosed in the housing: two black plastic elevation plates, a nylon washer, and three hexagonal screws of varying lengths for camera mounting. Set these parts aside for later use.

5. Remove the standard silver mounting plate by unscrewing the two flathead screws located at the rear. Then replace this unit with the optional mounting plate with built-in heater. Make sure that the heater plate is secured to the shelf that extends from the rear of the housing unit. (See Figures 4 &
5)
6. Connect the external power supply (not included) to the circuit board. The recommended power supply is 24 Vac, 50 VA.

2.3 HEB10-BK BLOWER KIT WITH HEB10-HK/HEB12-HK HEATER KIT INSTALLATION
This section contains instructions for installing the heater kit and blower kit for HEB10, HEB10-01, HEB12 and HEB12-01 camera housings. While these kits are sold as add-on components, they are also available in a preassembled package. The HEB10-03 and HEB12-03 are 10- and 12-inch camera housings respectively with an installed sunshield, heater and blower.
1. If applicable, remove the sunshield by sliding it off of the
main housing unit.
2. Remove the two Phillips panhead screws located midway up
the rear of the housing. Retain the screws and their black rubber gaskets, which were left in the holes on the rear of the housing. (See Figure 7)
3. By sliding the housing shell away from the rear portion of the
unit, separate the housing into two sections. Be careful not to disconnect the end of the ground cable that is attached to the housing shell. (See Figure 7)
4. Locate the following parts that are taped to or enclosed in the
housing: two black plastic elevation plates, a nylon washer, and three hexagonal screws of varying lengths for camera mounting. Set these parts aside for later use.

6. Remove the rear of the housing from the base by unscrewing

7. Use these screws to
replace the rear with the blower unit, being careful not to damage the wiring to the attached circuit board. (See
Figure 8)
8. Attach the mounting plate with heater unit to the shelf
extending from the rear of the housing. Align the holes and secure using the Phillips panhead screws mentioned in step
5. (See Figure 8)
9. Using a small screwdriver, disconnect the wiring to the N and
L1 ports on the heater circuit board. (See Figure 8)
10. Next, replace the heater circuit board with the circuit board
that is wired to the blower. To do this, locate the two Phillips panhead screws on the heater circuit board. Unscrew them and remove the board from the mounting plate. With the two plastic spacers already over the small holes on the mounting plate, set the blower circuit board on top of the spacers, keeping the wiring on the same side. Align the holes in the board with the spacers and insert the small Phillips panhead screws. Secure the assembly. (See Figure 8)
11. Connect the heater
wiring harness to the blower circuit board as shown. Then connect the external power supply (not included) to the circuit board. The recommended power supply is 24 Vac, 50 VA. (See Figure 9)

Mounting for HEB Series Housings on page 8. Begin with step 5. Then see UL-WBM & UL-WB+BJWall Bracket Mounting on page 10.

2.4 CAMERA MOUNTING FOR HEB SERIES HOUSINGS
This section contains comprehensive instructions for installing a camera into any of the HEB series housings. If you are installing optional equipment, such as a heater/blower kit, please consult the previous section in this manual that is appropriate and refer to this section when instructed to do so.
1. If applicable, remove the sunshield by sliding it off the main
housing unit.
2. Loosen the two Phillips panhead screws located midway up
the rear of the housing. Leave the screws intact in the rear portion of the housing. (See Figure 10)
3. By sliding the housing shell away from the rear portion of the
unit, separate the housing into two sections. Be careful not to disconnect the end of the ground cable that is attached to the housing shell. (See Figure 10)
4. Locate the following parts that are taped to or enclosed in
the housing: two black plastic elevation plates, a nylon washer, and three hexagonal screws of varying lengths for camera mounting. Set these parts aside for later use.

5. To install your camera on the mounting plate with heater,
use the supplied 1/4” flathead screws and nylon washer.
(See Figure 11)
NOTE: If you are using a camera with a zoom lens, it may be
necessary to use one or both of the provided black elevation plates to keep the camera stable. With one or both elevation plates under the camera, insert one of the longer screws through the bottom of the camera mounting plate, through the elevation plate(s) and into the camera. Use the 1/4” screw to secure the lens. (See Figure 12)
6. Insert the cable through the compression glands, and make
all of the necessary electrical connections as described in the instructions that accompanied the camera. Be sure that the compression glands are firmly fixed. (See Figure 11)
7. Reassemble the
housing unit by sliding the body of the housing completely across the base, being careful not to disrupt any electrical connections. Secure the assembly by tightening the two screws through the rear of the housing into the housing body. (If you installed a blower unit into the assembly, remember to slide the small black rubber gaskets over the tips of the screws.) (See Figure 13)
8. If applicable, reinstall the sunshield by sliding the sunshield
onto the housing unit.

2.5 HEB10-SS/HEB12-SS SUNSHIELD INSTALLATION
This section contains instructions for installing the sunshield for the HEB series housing. While this is sold as an add-on component for the HEB10 and HEB12, it is also available in a preassembled package. The HEB10-01 and HEB12-01 include a housing and a sunshield. The HEB10-02 and HEB12-02 include a housing, sunshield and heater. The HEB10-03 and HEB12-03 include a housing, sunshield, heater and blower.
1. After the camera has been installed and the housing has
been reassembled (See Camera Mounting for HEB Series Housings on page 7), install the sunshield by sliding it along the top of the housing unit. (See Figure 14)
2. To mount the completed assembly, consult the next section,
UL-WB+BJ & UL-WBM Wall Bracket Mounting.
2.6 UL-WBM & UL-WB+BJ WALL BRACKET MOUNTING
This section contains information for mounting the recommended UL-WBM wall bracket, which is sold separately from HEB series camera housings (The UL-WB+BJ is also compatible). Be sure that the camera and the optional components have been installed into the housing properly before proceeding to mount the assembly.

1. Using fasteners of appropriate size and type, attach the
bracket to the wall surface in a position that will allow for viewing of the selected area. (See Figure 15)
2. Locate two nuts that freely slide along the channel. Position
the nuts approximately 2-3/8” from one another. (See Figure
15)
3. Place the housing onto the mount, aligning the holes. Insert
the two provided bolts through the mount and into the nuts. Secure the assembly. (See Figure 15)
4. Adjust the movable arm of the wall bracket to attain the
desired position. Once it is in place, tighten the bolt located at the pivot point of the movable arm.(See Figure 15)
