INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
INSTALLATION - This fryer has been pre-wired and assembled for use of the SKF Motion Technologies,
Model S5420212 Basket Lift System. The fryer and Basket Lift System has been thoroughly tested and adjusted
prior to shipment. The Basket Lift System was removed and packed separately to prevent the possibility of
damage during shipment and the basket lift arms have been placed inside the fryer vat. After the fryer has been
installed and tested at it’s operating location, install and test the Basket Lift System as follows:
A. BASKET LIFT SYSTEM
1. Turn OFF electrical power to the fryer and computer at the store electrical panel.
2. While someone supports the weight of the Basket Lift System; SECURE it to the left and right hand 90º
3. Connect the four (4) pin white plastic plug on the Basket Lift System to the four (4) pin white plastic socket

4. Turn electrical power to the fryer ON at the stores electrical panel, then raise the Basket Lift System
LIFTER RODS to their UPPER position by turning the computer ON.
B. BASKET LIFTER ARMS
1. Place the tubular end of one (1) basket lift arm in front of the right hand MALE lifter rod; then seat the lifter arm
on the lift rod so that the vertical part of the arm is positioned on the white plastic roller of the Lift Roller Guide.
Repeat the same to install the remaining lift arm on the left hand MALE lift rod.
2. Place the product baskets on the basket hangers of the lift arms, and when shortening temperature reaches its
pre-set cooking temperature; check the BASKET HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT on page 5 of the AUTOMATIC
BASKET LIFT OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS, PN 30A081, provided with the fryer.
C. BASKET LIFT SYSTEM TEST OPERATION - TEST OPERATE THE BASKET LIFT SYSTEM as
outlined on page 2 of the OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS referenced above then repeat paragraphs A, B, and C
above for other fryers in a bank of fryers equipped with a Basket Lift System.
