EL USO Y EL MANTENIMIENTO DEL PRODUCTO
ADVERTENCIAS GENERALES
1. Después de desembalarlo, compruebe que
el aparato está intacto y que no presenta signos
visibles de daños provocados durante el transporte. Si tiene alguna duda, no utilice el aparato
y llévelo a un Servicio Técnico autorizado.
2. Ante s de conectar el aparato, compruebe
que las especificaciones de la placa de especificaciones técnicas se corresponden con las
de la red eléctrica. Las especificaciones técnicas se indican en la etiqueta cosida al aparato.
3. No utilice adaptadores, enchufes múltiples
y/o alargaderas.
4. Si el conector del aparato y el enchufe son
incompatibles, haga que una persona cualificada sustituya el enchufe por uno del tipo
adecuado.
5. Este aparato no debe ser utilizado por per-
sonas (incluyendo niños) con capacidades
físicas, sensoriales o mentales disminuidas o
falta de experiencia y conocimiento a menos
que hayan sido instruidas respecto a su uso
por una persona responsable.
6. Los niños deberán ser vigilados para asegu-
rar que no juegan con el aparato.
7. Este aparato únicamente puede utilizarse
como almohadilla eléctrica cobertor, tal y
como se indica en las instrucciones. Cualquier
otro uso se considerará peligroso. El fabricante
no se hace responsable de ningún daño provocado por un uso inadecuado o incorrecto.
8. A la hora de utilizar cualquier tipo de apara-
to eléctrico, deben cumplirse unas directrices
fundamentales, concretamente:
- nunca toque el aparato con las manos o los
pies mojados o húmedos
- no tire del cable de alimentación ni del apa-
rato para sacar el conector del enchufe
- no exponga el aparato a la intemperie (lluvia,
sol, etc.)
9. Antes de realizar cualquier operación de
limpieza o mantenimiento desconecte el aparato de la red eléctrica, desenchufándolo.
10. En caso de que la almohadilla eléctrica o
el fusible de protección se funda y/o deje de
funcionar adecuadamente, apague el aparato
y no trate de forzarlo. Para cualquier reparación, llévelo a un Servicio Técnico autorizado.
11. Para evitar sobrecalentamientos peligrosos
se recomienda desenrollar completamente el
cable de alimentación y desenchufar el aparato de la red eléctrica cuando no se utilice.
12. No cambie nunca el cable de alimentación
de este aparato. Si está dañado, debe tirar el
aparato.
13. Examine el aparato frecuentemente para
comprobar si presenta signos de deterioro
o daños. Si ve alguno de estos signos o si el
aparato se ha utilizado de forma indebida,
devuélvaselo al proveedor antes de continuar
utilizándolo.
14. En caso de que decida no volver a utilizar
más este aparato, deberá inutilizarlo, cortando
el cable de alimentación después de sacar el
conector del enchufe. Le recomendamos que
haga lo mismo con todas las piezas potencialmente peligrosas del aparato, particularmente
con aquellas con las que los niños podrían verse tentados a jugar.
15. No utilice la almohadilla con enfermos, niños
o personas insensibles al calor. La almohadilla
eléctrica no deberá ser utilizada por niños si los
dispositivos de control no han sido ajustados
previamente por los padres o tutores, o si no
se les ha explicado convenientemente cómo
utilizar estos dispositivos de forma segura.
16 Una aplicación prolongada del aparato a temperatura máxima puede provocar
quemaduras en la piel. No se duerma con la
almohadilla eléctrica en funcionamiento. No
tire del aparato por el cable de alimentación y
no utilice el cable como empuñadura.
17. Utilícese ÚNICAMENTE sobre la sábana
de arriba. NO se tumbe sobre la almohadilla,
dado que podría provocar un sobrecalentamiento.
18 No sumerja nunca este aparato en agua.
19. No usar doblado o arrugado
20. Este aparato no está diseñado para uso
médico en un hospital.
21. No lo utilice con una persona imposibilita-
da.

INSTRUCCIONES DE USO
IMPORTANTE: esta almohadilla eléctrica
dispone de un dispositivo de seguridad
que regula automáticamente la temperatura
conectando y desconectando la corriente a
intervalos regulares.
La temperatura de la almohadilla es la máxima
admitida por las normas CEI vigentes para garantizar la seguridad del usuario.
El aparato proporciona un calor suave que no
es perjudicial.
Modo de uso: La almohadilla eléctrica UFESA
tiene un mando de 4 posiciones:
0 apagado
1 temperatura mínima
2 temperatura intermedia
3 temperatura máxima
Antes de encender la almohadilla compruebe
que el mando esté en la posición 0, y enchúfela a la toma de corriente.
Para obtener un cale ntamiento rápido seleccione la posición 3. Transcurridos unos minutos la
almohadilla ya producirá un agradable calor.
Colóquela en la parte del cuerpo que desea
calentar y seleccione la temperatura que prefiera. No la utilice nunca con animales.
Para obtener un mayor efecto de calentamiento mantenga cubierta la almohadilla eléctrica,
de modo que el calor no se disperse durante
los intervalos de conexión del aparato.

PARA EL LAVADO
LA FUNDA EXTRAIBLE
La almohadilla tiene una funda extraíble que
se puede lavar a mano en agua templada (40°)
una vez extraída la funda plástica interior. Se
recomienda lavar la funda exterior con detergente neutro.
LAVAR A MANO (40°)
IMPORTANTE: no lave en ningún caso la parte
interior del aparato, tampoco en seco.
NO UTILICE LA ALMOHADILLA ELÉCTRICA
SI AÚN ESTÁ HÚMEDA.
En caso de presentarse estas señales o en
caso de mal funcionamiento, lleve el aparato a
cualquier Ser vicio de Asistencia Técnica autorizado por UFESA.
ADVERTENCIAS DE DEPOSICION/
ELIMINACION
Para su transporte, nuestras mercancías
cuentan con un embalaje optimizado.
Este consiste –por principio- en materiales no
contaminantes que deberían ser entregados
como materia prima secundaria al servicio local de eliminación de basuras.
Este producto cumple la Directiva de
la UE 2002/96/CE.
El símbolo del cubo de basura ta-
chado sobre el aparato indica que
el producto, cuando finalice su vida
útil, deberá desecharse separado de los residuos domésticos, llevándolo a un centro de
desecho de residuos separado para aparatos
eléctricos o electrónicos o devolviéndolo a
su distribuidor cuando compre otro aparato
similar. El usuario es el responsable de llevar
el aparato a un centro de desecho de residuos
especiales al finalizar su vida útil. De lo contrario, podrá ser sancionado en vir tud de los
reglamentos de desecho de residuos vigentes.
Si el aparato inutilizado es recogido correctamente como residuo separado, podrá ser
reciclado, tratado y desechado de forma ecológica; esto evita un impacto negativo sobre
el medio ambiente y la salud, y contribuye al
reciclaje de los materiales del producto. Para
obtener más información sobre los servicios
de desecho de residuos disponibles, contacte
con su agencia de desecho de residuos local
o con la tienda donde compró el aparato. Los
fabricantes e importadores se hacen responsables del reciclaje, tratamiento y desecho
ecológico, sea directamente o a través de un
sistema público.
Su Ayuntamiento o Municipio le informará sobre posibilidades de deposición/eliminación
para los aparatos en desuso.

Cuando no utilice el aparato, guárdelo en un lugar seco y evite apoyar en él objetos pesados.
Evite que se formen pliegues. Examine con
frecuencia el aparato y el cable de conexión
para comprobar que no presenten señales de

NO coloque artículos pesados sobre
la almohadilla cuando esté almacenada, puesto que los cables podrían
resultar dañados.

GENERAL PRECAUTIONS
1. After removing the packaging, check the
appliance to make sure that there are no signs
of damage caused during transpor tation. If in
doubt, do not use the appliance and take it to
an authorised Service Centre.
2. Before plugging the applian ce into the mains,
check that the data stated on the specification
plate match those of the electric supply. The
technical specifications are stated on the label
stitched to the appliance.
3. Do not use adapters, multiple sockets and/or
extension leads.
4. If the plug on the appliance and the mains
socket are incompatible, get a qualified per son
to replace the plug for a suitable one.
5. This appliance must not be used by persons
(including children) with physical, sensory or
mental impairments unless they have been
instructed in its correct use by a responsible
adult.
6. Children must be supervised to ensure that
they do not play with the appliance.
7. This appliance must be used exclusively as
an electric heating pad, as stated in the instructions. Any other use will be considered
hazardous. T he manufacturer is n ot responsible
for any damage resulting from inappropriate or
incorrect use.
8. When it comes to use any type of electrical appliance there are some basic rules that
should be observed, namely:
- Do not touch the appliance with wet or
damp hands or feet.
- Do not tug on t he mains cable or the appliance to unplug it from the mains socket.
- Do not expose the appliance to weather
conditions (rain, sun, etc.).
9. Always unplug the appliance from the mains
supply before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance operation on it.
10. Should the safety fuse blow or the heating
pad stop work ing correctly, switch the applian-
ce off. Do not force it to operate. For any repair,
take it to an authorised Service Centre.
11. To avoid dangerous overheating, it is advisable to unwind the mains cable fully and
unplug the appliance from the mains socket
when not in use.
12. Do not attempt to change the mains cable
on this appliance. If it is damaged, the appliance must be thrown away.
13. Periodically check the appliance to see if it
shows signs of wear or tear. If you do notice
any signs of wear or if the appliance has been
misused, then return it to the supplier before
continuing to use it.
14. Should you decide to dispose of the
appliance it must be rendered unusable by
cutting the mains cable off, after unplugging it
from the mains socket. We advise you to do
the same with all potentially hazardous parts
on the appliance, especially those that children
might be tempted to play with.
15. The heating pad is not to be used with the
sick, children or those who are insensitive to
heat. The electric heating pad should not be
used by children unless the control has been
switched on and set by the parent or guardian
or the child has been shown how to use the
device correctly.
16 Prolonged use of the appliance at maximu m
temperature may cause burns to the skin. Do
not fall asleep while using the electric heating
pad. Do not pull the appliance along by the
mains cable or use the cable as carry handle.
17. ONLY to be used on the top sheet. DO NOT
lie on the heating pad as this may cause it to
overheat.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
IMPORTANT: This electric heating pad has a
safety device that controls the temperature by
switching the appliance on and off at regular
intervals.
To guarantee user safety, the temperature of
the heating pad is the maximum permitted by
current IEC standards
The appliance provides gentle, harmless heat.
Operating mode: The UFESA heating pad has
4 settings:
0 Off
1 minimum temperature
2 intermediate temperature
3 maximum temperature
Make sure tha t the control is set to 0 before plu-
gging it in and switching on.
For rapid heating turn the control to position 3,
after a few minutes the heating pad will have
reached a pleasant temperature.
Place it on the part of the body you wish to
heat and select the desired temperature. Do
not use it to warm animals.
For the best heating results, keep the heating
pad covered so that none of the heat is lost
while the appliance switches on and off.
WASHING INSTRUCTIONS AND
PRECAUTIONS
THE REMOVABLE COVER
The heating pad has a removable cover that
can be hand washed in warm water (40°) after
being removed from the heating pad. It is best
to wash the cover in a neutral detergent.
HAND WASH (40°)
IMPORTANT: Under no circumstances can the
inside part of the appliance be washed or dry
cleaned.
DO NOT USE THE ELECTRIC HEATING PAD IF
IT IS STILL DAMP.
ADVICE ON DISPOSAL:
Our goods come in optimised pac-
kaging. This basically consists in using
non-contaminating materials which
should be handed over to the local waste disposal service as secondar y raw materials.
This product complies with EU
Directive 2002/96/CE. The crossed
wheelie bin symbol shown on the
appliance indicates that when it co-
mes to dispose of the product it must
not be included in with household refuse. It
must be taken to a special refuse collection
point for electric and electronic appliances
or returned to the distributor when purchasing a similar appliance. Under current refuse
disposal regulations, users who fail to take discarded appliances to special refuse collection
points may be penalised. Correct disposal of
discarded appliances means that they can be
recycled and processed ecologically, helping
the environment and allowing materials used in
the product to b e reused. For more information
on available waste disposal schemes contact
your local refuse service or the shop where the
product was purchased. Manufacturers and
importers are responsible for ecological recycling, processing and disposal of products,
whether directly or via a public system.
Your local town council can provide you with
information about how to dispose of obsolete
appliances.
CARE & PERIODIC CHECKS
When the appliance is not being used, store it
in a dry place and avoid placing heavy objects
on top of it.
Avoid creasing the appliance. Periodically inspect the appliance, including the mains cable,
to check for signs of wear or damage.
Do NOT place heavy objects on top
of the heating pad when stored, as
this may damage the electric wires.
Should the appliance become worn or malfunction, take it to any authorised UFESA
Technical Service Centre.

CONSIGNES GÉNÉRALES
1. Après avoir déballé le produ it, vérifiez s’il est

2. Avant de connecter l’appareil, vérifiez si les
caractéristiques indiquées sur l’étiquette signalétique concordent avec celles de la ligne
électrique de l’habitation. Les caractéristiques
techniques figurent sur l’étiquette cousue sur le
coussin.
3. Ne pas utiliser d’adaptateurs, de prises multiples et/ou rallonges.
4. Si le connecteur de l’appareil n’est pas compatible avec la prise, faites remplacer la prise
par celle qui convient. Cette tâche doit être
confiée à un technicien qualifié.
5. Cet appareil ne doit pas être utilisé par des
personnes (y compris les enfant s) handicapées
physiques, sensorielles ou mentales ou qui ne
possèdent pas l’expérience et la connaissance requises à moins d’avoir qu’une personne
responsable leur ait montré la bonne façon
d’utiliser l’appareil et qu’elle se soit assurée
que les consignes ont bien été comprises.
6. Être particulièrement vigilants avec les enfants pour qu’ils ne jouent pas avec l’appareil.
7. Cet appareil ne peut être utilisé que comme
coussin électrique couvrant, comme indiqué
dans la notice. Toute autre utilisation du produit est jugée dangereuse. Le fabricant décline
toute responsabilité quant aux dommages
provoqués par une utilisation inadéquate ou
incorrecte.
8. L’utilisation de tout appareil électrique est
assujettie à l’accomplissement de certaines
directives obligatoires énumérées ci-dessous :
- ne jamais toucher l’appareil avec les mains
ou les pieds mouillés ou humides.
- ne pas retirer le connecteur de la prise en
tirant le cordon de branchement ni en tirant
l’appareil.

9. Avant toute opération de nettoyage ou
d’entretien, déconnectez l’appareil en le débranchant du courant.
10. Si le coussin électrique ou si le fusible de
protection grille et/ou ne fonctionne plus correctement, éteignez l’appareil et n’essayez
pas de le forcer. Toutes les réparations doivent
être confiées à un Service Technique Agréé.

13. Examinez régulièrement l’appareil pour
voir s’il présente des signes de détérioration
ou de dommages auquel cas et tout comme
si l’appareil a été utilisé de façon inadéquate,
vous devrez le retourner à votre fournisseur
avant de l’utiliser à nouveau.
Avant de mettre cet appareil au rebut, vous
devrez le laisser hors d’usage en coupant le
cordon de branchement après avoir enlevé
le connecteur de la prise. Il est recommandé
de faire de même en ce qui concerne toutes
les pièces potentiellement dangereuses de
l’appareil et plus particulièrement celles dont
les enfants pourraient être tentés de jouer.
15. Les malades, les enfants et les personnes
insensibles à la chaleur ne doivent pas utiliser
ce coussin. Le coussin électrique ne doit pas
être utilisé par des enfants si les dispositifs de
commande n’ont pas été préalablement réglés
par les parents ou par les personnes à qui les
enfants ont été confiés ou si ces personnes
n’ont pas reçu les instructions requises pour
utiliser ces dispositifs en toute sécurité.
