Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the Ubiquiti Networks™ RocketDish™,
an airMAX® Carrier Class 2x2 PtP Bridge Dish Antenna.
This Quick Start Guide is designed to guide you through
the installation of the antenna. This Quick Start Guide also
includes the warranty terms and is for use with the RocketDish,
modelRD-5G31-AC.

Quick Start Guide
Installation Requirements
• Rocket™M5 AC PTP, RocketM5 Titanium, RocketM5, or
RocketM5GPS (soldseparately)
• 16 mm or 5/8" wrench
• 24 mm or 15/16" wrench
• Shielded Category 5 (or above) cabling should be used for
all wired Ethernet connections and should be grounded
through the AC ground of the PoE.
We recommend that you protect your networks from the
most brutal environments and devastating ESD attacks
with industrial-grade shielded Ethernet cable from Ubiquiti

Important: Carefully handle the Dish Antenna with
Radome. Deformations in its shape may reduce the
effectiveness of the RocketDish.
1. Attach the RF Cables to the connectors labeled Chain 0 and
Chain 1 on the RocketM.
2. Attach the RocketM to the Dish Antenna with Radome.
a. Align the mounting tabs on the back of the RocketM
with the Rocket mounting bracket.
b. Slide the RocketM down to lock it into place.

3. Attach the other end of the RF Cables to the RF connectors

in this combination: Chain 1 to H and Chain 0 to V.

4. Attach the Protective Shroud.
a. Align the hash mark on the top of the shroud with the
notch on the Dish Antenna with Radome.
b. Rotate the shroud clockwise until it locks into place.

5. The Elevation Rod includes washers and nuts. Remove one
nut, one spring lock washer, and one washer. Use them to
secure the Elevation Rod when assembling.
6. Attach the Elevation Rod to the Mounting Bracket.
a. Insert the Elevation Rod into the Mounting Bracket.
b. Secure the Elevation Rod with the washer, spring lock
washer, and nut.
7. Each M10x170 Carriage Bolt includes a washer, spring lock
washer, and nut. Remove these and use them to secure the
bolts when assembling in step 13.
8. Insert the four M10x170 Carriage Bolts into the Mounting
Bracket.
