Remove swingarm pivot bolt. Remove swingarm from frame.
Insert supplied bushings into receivers in pivot end of new swingarm.
Slide a supplied pivot bolt spacer (tapered end out) onto the OEM pivot bolt. Attach swingarm to frame by sliding pivot bolt through attachment points on swingarm and frame. Place second supplied spacer onto pivot bolt (tapered end out). Secure with OEM pivot bolt nut and tighten firmly.
Extended Shock Installation: You MUST use the RaceTech (022-6-09) or Marzocchi (022-6-54) Extended shock with this swingarm.

We recommend that this performance part be installed by a qualied
motorcycle technician. If you have any doubts as to your ability to install this performance part, please consult with your local motorcycle dealer. Read
all instructions rst before starting installation. Make sure the vehicle and exhaust system are completely cool before starting the installation. Also, make sure the vehicle is secure on a centerstand or ideally a service lift during installation. Be sure to save all stock components for possible use later.

Important!: This swingarm (022-6-36BW) will NOT work with the stock or short-travel shock. You MUST use the RaceTech (022-6-09) or Marzocchi (022-6-54) Extended shock with this swingarm.
Remove seat. Remove gas tank attachment bolt and slide tank forward to expose top shock mounting bolt.
Remove upper & lower shock mounting bolts.
Remove chain tensioners, disconnect brake control arm and allow arm to drop.

Make sure shock has clearance to move freely around the lower shock pivot area.
Cut OEM brake rod spring to the length of the threaded section of brake rod extender, place on brake rod assembly and attach brake rod assembly to brake actuator arm.
Re-attach gas tank and seat. Double check to make sure that all hardware is properly installed and tightened.

Secure reservoir to frame with supplied band clamps as shown, making sure that the supplied black rubber mounts are in place. Tighten clamps securely.
Slide left side tensioner onto axle. Place rear wheel in swingarm and slide rear axle through rear wheel. Place right side tensioner onto axle and secure with axle nut. Loosely tighten for now.
Attach brake rod adjuster to swingarm’s mounting tab.
Attach brake cable to brake lever arm. In order to accommodate the difference between the original swingarm and the new one, it may be necessary to adjust the angle of the brake lever arm. This is done by loosening the brake arm retaining bolt, slipping the arm off of the toothed spindle and position the arm at the correct angle. When the brake arm is in the proper position, tighten the brake arm retaining bolt.
Properly tension chain, tighten tensioning hardware and axle nut.
Double check your work to make sure that all hardware is properly tightened.

Slide extended shock into place and secure upper end with OEM bolt and nut.
Secure lower end of extended shock to swingarm.
Tighten both upper and lower shock mounting bolts securely.
Bring reservoir between frame and shock.
