1. Safety | Intended use
When operating the speaker system, observe the following safety warnings to avoid any risks.
When handling heavy loads of more than 20 kg, use suitable aids (dollies, slings, etc.). Depending on the situation, several persons may be required for lifting.
A stable position and solid anchorage therefore need to be ensured. A falling speaker can cause serious damage to property and severe injuries to persons.
When installing and securing TW AUDiO speakers, only use the materials specified by TW AUDiO. This work must be carried out by qualified and competent personnel. Comply with the applicable safety regulations when doing so.
If the primary lifting component fails, then discontinue use of the load suspension equipment immediately. After a fall into the secondary safety component, load suspension equipment must be regarded as ready to be discarded.
Before installing the equipment always do visual inspection first. Replace parts when necessary. Spare parts can be obtained from TW AUDiO.
When installing speakers, ensure that they are not exposed to the following environmental conditions:
Direct sunlight
Moisture
Vibrations
Dust
Speakers produce an electromagnetic field. Persons with pacemakers must not stand in close proximity to speakers, because electromagnetic fields can cause pacemakers to malfunction.
Make sure that there are no objects sensitive to magnetic fields within a one-meter radius of the speakers, because electromagnetic fields could damage these objects.
Do not stand in close proximity to speakers which are operating with high sound pressure levels. These speaker systems present a health hazard. Sound levels of approx. 90 dB SPL are sufficient to result in long-term hearing impairments.
Avoid:
Feedback
Signal distortion (clipping)
Peaks occurring due to activating devices, or connecting or disconnecting de-
vices, during operation.
These signals could result in the speaker being subject to overload. Do not operate defective speakers on one amplifier, because this presents a risk of fire.
Please note that TW AUDiO cannot be held responsible for damage which can be attributed to this type of overloading, and therefore assumes no liability for any consequential damage.
2. System components
Only use the speakers, and their variations, named in the following list for systems which use the accessories named. Combinations using products which are not named in these instructions are not permitted.

Eye bolt DIN 580, drop-forged, galvanised, incl. self-locking nut with clamp, for fastening an SF10 to a variety of load suspension equipment. Loadbearing capacity 340 kg WLL
3. Assembly
Assembly and disassembly made only be carried out by competent personnel. The applicable local safety regulations must be complied with.
The combinations of speakers and accessory parts listed are intrinsically safe. The load suspension equipment must be configured so that it guarantees safe use in compliance with the standards and regulations applicable at the usage site.
A secondary safety component between the individual elements is not necessary.
3.1. Rigging frame – VERA RF300
Rigging mode
Suspended use of our speaker system is referred to as rigging mode. This involves fastening the RF300 rigging frame directly to load suspension equipment using a shackle (SK20). Single pick-point and dual-pickpoint rigging are both possible. However, the centre of gravity of the overall system and the overall angle of the individual elements determine the maximum possible number of speakers.
The system will always rotate to the centre of gravity when a single pick-point suspension is used. The overall angle of inclination can be varied by changing the attachment point (pick point).
When dual pick-point mode suspension is used, the frontmost and rearmost attachment point must be connected to the load suspension equipment (pick point 1 and 18). The angle of inclination of the rigging frame can be adjusted by changing the height of the pick point. The centre of gravity of the overall system can be adjusted subsequently. To calculate the maximum possible number of speakers, the attachment point (pick point) EASE Focus software should be used.
To calculate the maximum possible number of speakers exactly, a simulation must be done in EASE Focus. The “Rigging Details” table in the printed simulation report provides information about the planned load situation.
The following limitations apply for system operation:
1. Maximum system weight 350 kg
2. Position of the attachment point (pick point): If the attachment point is positioned... a. between 1 and 9, a maximum of 18 VERA10
1
may be installed
b. between 10 and 12, a maximum of 14 VERA10
1
may be installed
c. between 13 and 15, a maximum of 12 VERA10
1
may be installed
d. between 16 and 18, a maximum of 10 VERA10
1
may be installed
1
One VERA L24 or VERA S15 are counted in the cluster for every two VERA10 elements
3. Overall angle of the individual elements. The respective number of still possible el-
ements were considered in accordance with the related, corresponding effective angle of the speaker.
a. Overall angle <=10°  no limit b. Overall angle > 10° <= 20°  9 further speakers c. Overall angle > 20° <= 30° 6 further speakers d. Overall angle > 30° <= 50°  4 further speakers e. Overall angle > 50° <= 60° 3 further speakers
Ground stack mode
Use of a standing speaker system on the RF300 rigging frame is referred to as ground stack mode.
Using the RF300 in ground stack mode requires a level, horizontal and stable, loadbearing foundation. Placing shims under any of the corners to ensure horizontal set-up is not permitted. The system must be secured against tipping over by ballast or anchors when persons are moving past in close proximity.
Outdoor use is not permitted.
A maximum of eight elements may be placed on the frame in ground stack mode. When used this way, one VERA L24 and VERA S15 count as one element each.
The following limitations apply for system operation:
1. The total weight of the stacked system must not exceed 300 kg.
2. As soon as the first element (viewed from bottom to top) reaches an overall angle
of 50° or more, only two more elements may then be added to the top.
3.2. Small frame – VERA SF10
VERA10 speaker elements are the only ones which may be set up on a VERA SF10. Use is combination with VERA L24 or VERA S15 elements is not permitted.
Rigging mode
Suspending use of our speaker system is referred to as rigging mode. This involves fastening the VERA SF10 small frame to load suspension equipment directly using a DHST half coupler or an RSM12 eye bolt. 5 different attachment points (pick points) are provided for this.
The VERA10 speakers are assembled on the adapter upside down when the VERA SF10 is used in rigging mode. Observe that the angle selected applies on the link for the box itself.
When set up on a crossbeam using DHST, the system must under no circumstances rotate out of its centre of gravity. The torsional forces could damage the crossbeam or its suspension.
A maximum of four VERA10 elements may be suspended on the assembly adapter.
Ground stack mode
Placing a standing speaker system on the small frame is referred to as using the VERA SF10 in ground stack mode. The HSF speaker stand flange will be required for assembly in all cases. This is bolted to the small frame using the correspondingly labelled holes, and then inserted onto a standard speaker tripod.
A maximum of four VERA10 elements may be stacked on the small frame.
There are only a few speaker tripods which may hold more than three VERA10 elements. Please observe the required system size when using tripods.
3.3. Ground frame – VERA GF10
The VERA GF10 ground frame is only intended for use with standing speaker systems.
The VERA GF10 stacking frame allows extensive use of ground stacks beyond the limits of the VERA RF300. The adjustable jacks allow irregularities of up to 60 mm to be compensated. The supporting surface of the threaded spindles must be increased on soft surfaces using suitable supports to prevent subsidence during operation.
The ground frame may only be used with the stabilizers extended.
Outdoor use, up to wind force 6, is permitted. However, suitable anchors must be
used in all cases.
A maximum of twelve elements may be placed on the frame. When used this way, one VERA L24 and VERA S15 count as one element each.
The following limitations apply for system operation:
1. The total weight of the stacked system must not exceed 300 kg.
2. As soon as the first element (viewed from bottom to top) reaches an overall angle
of 70° or more, only two more elements may then be set up on top.
