EZPlus Autoclave Preventive and Scheduled Maintenance Instructions

The maintenance operations described here need to be carried out by the operating personnel as indicated to keep the device in good
working condition. This maintenance schedule is the responsibility of the equipment owner and is not covered under the warranty.
Should the need arise, technical assistance or a service technician can be requested by calling your dealer or Tuttnauer USA.
Daily
Clean the door gasket and outside rim of the chamber with a mild detergent, water and a soft cloth or sponge. The gasket should be clean and smooth. Be sure to clean the inside and outside of the gasket flap. Clean the sensors located in the rear of the chamber (the right is the water sensor and the left is the temperature sensor) with a mild detergent, water and a soft cloth or sponge. Be sure to
Weekly
Once per week or after 20 cycles, clean and descale the chamber, copper tubes and the reservoir using Chamber Brite™ powdered autoclave cleaner. This should ONLY be done when the chamber is COLD. Only use on a COLD chamber. Never use in a Chamber that
is WARM or HOT. Follow the instructions in the Operator’s Manual (Sec. 12.1.2):

At the end of the cycle, open the door and drain the entire contents of the
water reservoir.

Remove the tray holder/rack
Refill the reservoir with
distilled water.

Repeat steps 4, 5 & 6 but without using Chamber
Brite.
Open the door and spread the contents of a packet of Chamber Brite™ in a straight even line along the bottom of a cold chamber,
from back to front.
Wipe the interior of the chamber with a damp cloth or sponge. Clean the water sensor in the rear of the chamber with a damp cloth or sponge. Cleaning the dirt off the sides of the sensor is more important than the tip. (see sec. 12.6). The unit is now ready
to sterilize.
Select the Chamber Brite Cleaning program, close
the door and start the cycle

Weekly (continued)
Clean the tray holder and trays with detergent or a non-abrasive stainless steel cleaner and water, using a cloth or sponge.
CAUTION! Do not use steel wool or steel brushes or anything abrasive to clean the chamber, tray holder or trays. Doing so will
damage the chamber and trays!
Put 1-2 drops of oil, such as 3 IN ONE Oil, on the door hinge pins and any moving parts of
the door locking mechanism
Clean the outer parts of the autoclave with a soft cloth
Periodically
Once a month, check the safety valve (see sec. 12.4 of Operators Manual).
Once per month clean the water outlet strainer as per sec. 12.5. of Operators Manual.
Check the door gasket every 12 months, for cracks or damage and replace it if required (see sec. 12.3 of Operators Manual).
Replace the HEPA filter, every 6 months or after 1,000 cycles (whichever is the shorter period), see sec. 12.7 of Operators Manual.
Be sure to follow all maintenance instructions as outlined in section 12 of the Operator’s Manual.
Troubleshooting
In the event of a problem with the autoclave the cycle history can be downloaded to a USB flash drive and the files emailed to your
dealer or Tuttnauer USA for evaluation
