Front sway bar relocation kit installation:
1. To begin installation, block the front and rear tires of the vehicle so that the vehicle is stable and can’t roll forwards or backwards.
2. Working on the driver side, remove the stock sway bar from the stock frame rail. The stock hardware may be discarded. Repeat procedure on the passenger side. Let the stock front sway bar hang. Now is a good time to see how the stock sway bar bushing look, if they look to be damaged at all, Tuff Country would recommend replacing them with an aftermarket poly bushing. If replacement is needed, please order new replacement bushings and follow the manufactures instruction on installation of new front sway bar bushings.
3. Locate (2) new front sway bar relocation brackets, (4) 7/16” x 2 1/2” bolts, (8) 3/8” USS flat washers and (4) 7/16” unitorque nuts from hardware bag 10701NB. Working on the driver side, install the new front sway bare relocation bracket between the stock sway bar and the stock frame rail and secure using the new 7/16” x 2 1/2” bolts and hardware. Do not tighten at this point. Repeat procedure on the passenger side.
4. Working on the driver side, apply a small amount of thread locker or lock tite on the new bolts and torque the new 7/16” x 2 1/2” bolts to 42 ft lbs. Repeat procedure on the passenger side.
