Tsakalis Ocean Owner`s Manual

Ocean
The Ocean was designed to create, a studio quality, classic and ambient reverb textures of sound in a small sized
pedal. From thick and endless hall reverb, symphonic shimmers and classic vintage spring reverb.
3 types of reverb: Hall, Shimmer and Spring, fully customized via “Size”, “Diffuse” and “Storm” controls. “Mix”
control adjusts the balance between dry and wet signal and you can go from a pure dry signal to a 100% wet
signal, no dry at all, ideal for volume swells without the need of volume pedal or guitar volume knob. All these
makes the Ocean a versatile pedal ideal for almost any reverb job.
Hall mode (HL) is a reverb type that can move your signal from a small sized echoed room to a haunting
Size – mimics the length of the room where reverb produced. Set to zero for very small room
(almost no effect), set to full for huge hall adding long trails and echoes.
Storm - will control the damping of the trails and echoes.
Diffuse – mimics the material of the walls of the room. Set to zero for flat - glassy walls, set to full
for porous - spongy walls which will diffuse the reverb signal.
Shimmer mode (SH) is a reverb type that can move your signal from a classic hall reverb to a symphonic
almost infinitive reverb with pads and overtones.
Size – mimics the size of the hall where reverb produced. Set to zero for very small hall (almost no
effect), set to full for big hall and long tails.
Storm - will control the level of the pads and overtones (shimmer) produced by the reverb. Turn
clockwise to increase the shimmer effect.
Diffuse – mimics the material of the walls of the room. Set to zero for flat - glassy walls, set to full
for porous - spongy walls which will diffuse the reverb signal.
Spring mode (SP) is a classic spring reverb that mimics the vintage character and grit of the spring reverb
tanks. It can move your signal from a short echo surf reverbs to long splashy sounds.
Size – mimics the size of the tank but also the number of springs. Set to zero for small tank and
short tails, set to full for big tank and long tails.
Storm – mimics the spring vibration and shake when the signal pass through them. Set to zero for
almost no spring effect, set to full for bold and a lot of vibrations.
Diffuse – controls the reverb tone. Turn clockwise to lower the threshold of higher frequencies
allowed in the reverberated signal.
