Installation

Turn on the PC and insert the Trust installation CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.

Close all other programs and select “Install driver”.

Click “Next” until window 4 appears.

Click “OK”.

A window will be displayed which requests you to connect the adapter. Do
not press the buttons.

Connect the Bluetooth adapter to a USB port. If necessary, use the USB extension cable.

A: If a window is displayed which states that the driver is not digitally signed, click “Next”. B: Click “Finish”. If the Bluetooth icon in the task bar appears red, then see the Troubleshooting
section.

If you are requested to restart the computer, select “Yes”.
Configuration

Double-click the Bluetooth icon in the taskbar

Click “Next”.

Enter a different computer name (optional) and click “Next”.

Select “Services” (optional) and click “Next”. You will now have to wait. If requested, do
not restart the
computer.
Some services can only be selected if the required hardware (such as a modem) is present in the
system.

Click “Skip”.

Click “Finish”. If requested, restart the computer.
Connecting to other devices

If necessary, make the other Bluetooth device detectable (press the connect button for a couple of seconds). Also see the instruction manual provided with the device.

Double-click the Bluetooth icon in the taskbar. My Bluetooth Locations will be opened.

Click “Search for devices in range”.

Double-click the desired device.

Next, double-click the desired service.

Click in the “Bluetooth PIN code Required” window.

A: Enter the device’s PIN code. PIN code information (may be different):

GSM, Computer, Pocket PC Enter an arbitrary code for both devices. These must be
the same. Various devices (headsets, modems, printers)
Enter the PIN code stated on the device or in the
instruction manual. Common codes are: 1234, 0, 0000 Mice and keyboards Usually do not require a PIN code.
B: Click “OK”.
In some cases, a button on the device must be pressed in order to accept a connection.

The icon for the device will now be green with two arrows. You can now use the device.

Connecting
The method of pairing and the use of Bluetooth may differ for different devices. See the instruction manual provided with your other Bluetooth device for the correct method.
Bluetooth devices only remain discoverable for a limited time. If necessary, make the device discoverable again.
The Bluetooth Adapter can be paired with a maximum of 7 different devices.
Profiles
In order to be able to use a certain function, the profile concerned must be supported by both devices.
For support for the latest profiles, download the most recent driver from
www.trust.com/14526.
For optimal Bluetooth profile support, mobile telephones must have the latest firmware update from the manufacturer.

Use
When transferring files via Bluetooth, the files will usually be located in “My Documents\Bluetooth Exchange Folder".
Do not carry out a number of intensive Bluetooth activities, such as transferring files and listening to high quality audio via a headset, at the same time.

Wireless performance
Tips for the best wireless performance
- Use the extension cable to move the adapter to a different location.
- Replace or recharge the batteries of the connected devices.
- Avoid having other wireless devices close by.
- Avoid having concrete walls or metal objects between the adapter and the device.
The file transfer speed is reduced for larger files.

Troubleshooting
If the Bluetooth icon remains red, uninstall the Bluetooth software and remove the adapter from the USB port. Restart the computer and follow the installation procedure from step 1.
If there is a fault when listening to high quality audio via a headset or when transferring video files, stop other intensive Bluetooth activities, such as transferring files and, if necessary, reduce the distance.
If a headset does not produce a sound, check whether the headset has been selected as the default audio device: Control Panel - Sound and Audio Devices- Audio tab.
