Instructions for fitting 4 to 20mA loop powered adapter to DPM951 or DPM 952
Configure DPM 951 or DMP 952 module for supply voltage, and annunciators. Configure
annunciators as required (mA, A, mv, V etc) refer to DPM 951/ 952 instructions. Configure SW4 for
the maximum span range required (150 to 1000, or 1000 to 1999), also set SW 1 to 3 for the decimal
place configuration required. Configure the module for a 5V supply – solder Lin k 6 on the rea r of the
PCB, leave links 1 to 5 unsoldered.

(Rear of DPM 952) (Rear of DPM 951)
1) Fit the adapter board onto the rear of the DPM 951 or DPM 952 module (depending on
adaptor model).
(View from rear of unit)
2) Connect the complete module to your 4 to 20mA signal wires, also connect an Earth/
Ground connection to the appropriate terminal.
3) Input your minimum signal (or 4mA), Calibrate the unit to indicate zero or your required
value (using the Zero/ offset adjustment potentiometer). Input your maximum signal (or
20mA) calibrate the span of the unit at your maximum signal, adjusting the span until the
unit displays your required value at the maximum signal level (using the Span/ Gain
adjustment potentiometer). Test the unit with your actual 4 to 20mA signal, re-adjust if
necessary.
