DANGER
Operate pressure washer ONLY outdoors.
Use a respirator or mask whenever there isa chance that
vapors may be inhaled.

Turnpressure washer OFF and let it cool at least2 minutes
before removing gascap. Fill fuel tank outdoors.

Keepspray nozzle between 8 to 24 inchesawayfrom cleaning
surface. Operate this unit on a stable surface. The cleaning area should haveadequateslopes and drainage to
reduce the possibility of afall due to slippery surfaces. Beextremely careful if you must usethe pressure washer from
a [adder,scaffoldingor any other relatively unstable [oca'don.

NEVER use a spray gun which does not have a trigger lock or trigger guard in place and in working order.
Always be certain spraygun,nozzles and accessories are correctly attached.
CAUTION
DO NOT point spraygun at glass when in jet spray mode. NEVER aim spray gun at plants.
CAUTION
Always wear eye protection when using this equipment or in vicinity of where equipment is in use.
WARNING
Disconnect spark plug wire from spark plug and place wire
where it cannot contact spark plug.

Air Filter -- Protects engine by filtering dust and debris out of intake air.
Automatic Cool Down System -- Cycles water through pump when water reaches 125°-155°EWarm water will discharge from pump onto ground.This system prevents internal pump damage.
Chemical Injection Siphon/Filter -- Use to siphon detergent or other pressure washer chemicals into the low
pressure stream.
Choke Lever -- Prepares a cold engine for starting. DataTag -- Provides model, revision and serial number of
pressure washer. Please have these readily available if calling for assistance.
Fuel Tank -- Filltank with regular unleaded fuel.Always leave room for fuel expansion.
Fuel Valve -- Used to turn fuel on and off to engine. High Pressure Hose -- Connect one end to the water
pump and the other end to the spray gun.

High Pressure Outlet --To connect high pressure hose. Nozzle Extension with Quick Connect --Allows you to
switch between five different spray tips. Oil Fill Cap -- Fillengine with oil here.
Pump -- Develops high pressure. Recoil Starter -- Use for starting the engine manually.
Rocker Switch -- Set this switch to "On" before using
recoil starter. Set switch to "Off' to switch off engine. Safety Goggles (not shown) --Always use the enclosed
goggles or other eye protection when running your pressure washer.
Spray Gun -- Controls the application of water onto cleaning surface with trigger device. Includes safety latch.
Spray Tips -- Chemical injection, 0°, 15°, 25°, and 40°: for various high pressure cleaning applications.
Throttle Lever--Sets engine in starting mode for recoil starter.
Water Inlet -- Connect garden hose here.
ASSEMBLY
IMPORTANT: Readentire owner's manual before you
attempt to assembleor operate your new pressure washer.
Remove Pressure Washer From
Carton
Remove the parts bag packedwith pressure washer.
Slice two corners at the end of carton from top to bottom so the panel can be folded down fiat, then
remove all packing material.
Roll pressure washer out of carton.
To prepare your pressure washer for operation, you will need to perform these tasks:
I. Fill out and sendin registration card.
2. Attach handleto main unit.
3. Remove shippingcap and install dipstick in pump.
4. Add oil to engine crankcase.
5. Add fuel to fuel tank.
6. Connect high pressure hoseto spraygun and pump.
7. Connect water supply to pump.
8. Attach nozzle extension to spray gun.
9. Select/attachquick connect spraytip to nozzleextension.

Attach Handle
I. Placehandleassemblyonto handle supports connected
to main unit. Make sure holes in handle alignwith holes on handle supports (Figure I).

NOTE: It maybe necessaryto move the handlesupports from side to side in order to alignthe handleso it will slide over the handle supports.
2. Insert carriage bolts through holes from outside of unit and attach plastic knob from insideof unit (Figure 2). Tighten by hand.
PREPARING PRESSURE
WASHER FOR USE
Ifyou have any problems with the assemblyof your
pressure washer or if parts are missing or damaged,callthe pressure washer helpline at 1-888-611-6708.
3. Insert multi-colored nozzles in spacesprovided in handle.
Section 3: Assembly
Install Oil Dipstick on Pump
To install the oil dipstick:
I. Make sure unit is on a levelsurface.
CAUTION
Failure to do so will void the warranty and damage the
pump.
2. Removeand discard shipping cap located on pump (Figure 3).

Place pressure washer on a levelsurface.
Refer to engine owner's manualand follow oil and fuel recommendations and instructions.
CAUTION
Refer to engine manualfor oil andfuel fill information.
Damageto equipment resulting from failure to follow this
instructionwill void warranty.
NOTE: Check oil often during engine break-in. Refer to
engine owner's manualfor recommendations.

3. Install oil dipstick.
Section 3: Assembly
Connect Hose and Water Supply to
Pump
IMPORTANT: To avoid pump damage,you must assemble
the nozzleextensionto the spray gun and attach all hoses before you start the engine.
I. Uncoil high pressure hose and attach quick connect
end of hoseto baseof spray gun (Figure 4). Pull down on collar of quick connect, slide onto spray gun andlet
go of collar.Tug on hose to be sure of tight connection.
NOTE: Remove and discard alt pump shippingcapsbefore
attaching hoses.
2. Similarly,attach other end of high pressure hose to high pressure outlet on pump.Pull down on collar of
quick connect, slide onto pump and let go of collar. Pull on hose to be sure of tight connection.
3. Before you connect your garden hose to water inlet, inspectinlet screen (Figure 5). Clean screen if it contains debris, replace if damaged.DO NOT RUN
PRESSUREWASHERIF SCREEN IS DAMAGED.

4. Run water through garden hose for 30 seconds to cleanout any debris.Turnoff water.
INPORTANT: DO NOT siphon standing water for the water supply.Use ONLY cold water (lessthan IO0°F).
5. Connect garden hose (not to exceed 50 feet in length) to water inlet.Tightenby hand (Figure 5).
CAUTION
Damage to equipment resulting from failure to follow this
instructionwill voidwarranty.
6. Turn ON water and squeezetrigger on spray gun to purge pump system of air and impurities.
WARNING
Always wear eye protection when usingthis equipment or in vicinity of where equipment is in use.
Before starting the pressure washer,be sure you are wearing adequate eye protection.
Checklist Before Starting Engine
Review the unit'sassemblyto confirmyou haveperformed atlof the following:
I. Make sure handle isin placeand secure.
2. Make sure shippingcapwas removed and oil distick was installedin pump.
3. Check that oil hasbeen added to the proper levelin
engine crankcase.
4. Add proper fuel to fuel tank.
5. Check for properly attached hose connections.
6. Check to make sure that there are no kinks,cuts, or damageto high pressure hose.
7. Provide a proper water supply at an adequateflow.
8. Be sure to read"Safety Rules" and"HowTo Use PressureWasher" before usingthe pressure washer.
Operation
HOW TO USE PRESSURE
WASHER
If you have any problems operating your pressure washer,
please call the pressure washer helpline at 1-888-611-6708.
To Start Pressure Washer
To start your pressure washer for the first time, follow these instructions step-by-step.This starting information
also applies if you havelet the pressure washer sit idle for at least a day.
I. Placepressure washer near an outside water source
capableof supplying water at a flow rate greater than
4.2gallons per minute and no lessthan 20 PSIat pressure washer end of garden hose.
2. Check that high pressure hose is connected to spray gun and pump. See"PreparingPressureWasher for
Use" for illustrations.
3. Make sure unit is in a level position.
4. Connect garden hose to water inlet on pressure washer pump. Turn ON the water.
CAUTION
6. Attach nozzle extension to spray gun (Figure 6). Tighten by hand.
7. Choose the spray tip you want to useand insert it into the nozzle extension.See"How to Use SprayTips".
8. Engagesafetylatch to spraygun trigger (Figure7).

9. Start engine according to instructionsgiven in engine owner's manual.
Squeezetriggeron sprayguneachtime recoilstarter is pulledandenginefailsto start.
Damage to equipment resulting from failure to follow this instruction will void warranty.
5. Squeeze trigger on gun until you have a steady stream of water.This purges the pump of air and impurities.
How to Stop Pressure Washer
Turn engine off according to instructionsgiven in engine
owner's manual.
Squeeze trigger on the spray gun to relieve
pressure in the hose.
NOTE: A smalt amount of water witl squirt out when you
release the pressure.
Section 4: Operation
How tO Use SprayTips
The quick-connect on the nozzle extension allows you to switch between five different spraytips.The spray tips vary the spraypattern as shown below (Figure8).
CAUTION
NEVERexchangespraytipswithout lockingthe safetylatch
on the trigger.
Follow these instructions to change spray tips:
I. Engagesafety latch on spray gun.
2. Putlback collar on quick-connect and putl current spray tip off. Store spray tips in spaceprovided on
handlesstorage panel.
3. Select desired spray tip:
For gentle rinse, select white 40° or green 25°
spray tip. To scour surface,select yellow 15° or red 0° spray
tip. To apply chemical,select blackspray tip.
3. Putlback on collar, insertnew spraytip and release collar.Tug on spray tip to make sure it is securely in
place.
4. For most effective cleaning,keep spraytip from 8 to 24 inchesawayfrom cleaning surface.If you get spray tip too close, you maydamage cleaning surface.DO
NOT get closer than 6 incheswhen cleaningtires.
Cleaning and Applying Chemical
IMPORTANT: Use soaps designed specifically for pressure washers. Household detergents could damage
the pump.
CAUTION
Startingthe engine without all the hoses connectedand
without the water turned ON will damagethe pump. Damage to equipment resulting from failure to follow this
instructionwill void warranty. apply detergent follow these steps:
Review spray tip use. Prepare detergent solution as required by
manufacturer.
Placesmallfilter end of detergent siphoning tube into detergent container.
CAUTION
When insertingthe filter into a detergent solution bottle, route the tube so as to keep it from inadvertentlycontacting
the hot muffler.
4. Make sure black spray tip is installed. NOTE: Detergent cannot be applied with the high
pressure spray tips (White, Green,Yellow, or Red).

5. Make sure garden hose is connected to water inlet. Check that high pressure hose is connected to spray gun and pump and start engine.
6. Apply detergent to a dry surface,starting at lower portion of areato be washed and work upward,using long, even,overlapping strokes.
7. Allow detergent to soak in between 3-5 minutes before washingand rinsing. Reapplyasneeded to
prevent surface from drying. DO NOT allow detergent to dry on (prevents streaking).
IMPORTANT:You must flush the chemical injection system after each useby placingthe filter into a bucket of clean water,then run the pressure washer in low pressure
for I-2 minutes.
Pressure Washer Rinsing
After you have applied detergent, scour the surface and rinse it clean as follows:

Apply safetylatch to spray gun.

Removeblack chemical spray tip from nozzle
extension.

Select and installdesired high pressure spray tip following the instructions"How to Use SprayTips".
WARNING
Keepspray nozzle between 8 to 24 inchesawayfrom cleaning
surface. Operate this unit on astable surface.
Beextremely careful if you must usethe pressure washer from
a ladder,scaffolding or any other relatively unstable location.
Firmly grasp spray gun with both handswhen usinghigh pressure spray to avoid injury if gun kicks back.

Increaseor decrease spray pressure by turning pressure control knob counterclockwise or clockwise respectively (Figure 9). Use lower pressure to wash items such a asa car or boat. Use higher pressure to
strip paint and degreasedriveways.

5. Apply a highpressure spray to a small areaand check surface for damage.If no damageisfound, assumeit is okay to continue rinsing.
6. Start at the top of the areato be rinsed, working down with sameoverlapping strokes asyou used for
cleaning.
Automatic Cool Down System
(Thermal Relief)
If you run the engine on your pressure washer for
3-5 minutes without pressingthe trigger on the spray gun, circulating water in the pump can reach temperatures above 125°F.Thesystem engagesto cool the pump by discharging the warm water onto the ground.

Maintenance
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
RECOMMENDATIONS
The pressurewasher warranty doesnot cover itemsthat have
beensubjectedto operator abuseor negligence.Toreceivefurl
valuefrom the warranty,the operator must maintainthe
pressurewasher as instructedinthis manual.
Someadjustmentswill needto be madeperiodlcailyto properly maintainyour pressurewasher.Checkthe spray
gun andadjustablenozzleextensionassemblyfor wear.
•Alt maintenancein this manual and the engine owner's manualshould be madeat least once each season.
Once ayear you should cleanor replacethe spark plug,
cleanor replacethe air fiiter.A new spark plugand clean air filter assureproper fuel-alr mixture andhelp your engine run better and last longer.Pleaserefer to your engine owner's manualfor more details.
If equipped with inflatable tires, keep the air pressure at
the valuemarked on the tire or within 15and 40 psi.
Before Each Use
I. Check engine oil level.
2. Check water inlet screenfor damage.
3. Check in-linefilter for damage.
4. Check highpressure hose for leaks.
5. Check detergent siphoning tube and filter for damage.
6. Check spraygun and nozzleextension assemblyfor leaks.
7. Rinseout garden hose to flushout debris before connecting to pressure washer.
PRESSURE WASHER
MAINTENANCE
Check and Clean Inlet Screen
Examine the screen on the water inlet.Clean it if the
screen isclogged or replace it if screen is damaged.
Check High Pressure Hose
The highpressure hose can develop leaksfrom wear,
kinking,or abuse.Inspect the hose each time before using
it.Check for cuts, leaks, abrasionsor bulging of cover, damageor movement of couplings. If any of these conditions exist, replacethe hose immediately.

NEVER repair high pressure hose. Replace Ft. Replacement hose rating MUST exceed maximum pressure
rating of unit.
Check Detergent Siphoning Tube
Examinethe filter on the detergent tube andclean if
clogged.The tube should fit tightly on the barbed fitting.
Examinethe tube for leaks or tears. Replacethe filter or
tube if either isdamaged.
Cleaning Detergent Siphoning Tube
If you usedthe detergent siphoning tube,you must flushit
with clean water before stopping the engine.
I. Placechemical injection slphon/filter in a bucket full of
dean water.
2. Attach black low pressure spray tip.
3. Flushfor I-2 minutes.
4. Shut off engine. IMPORTANT: Simply shutting OFF engine will not
releasepressure in the system.When the engine has
shut down, squeeze the trigger on the spray gun to
relieve the pressure in the hose.
Check Gun and Nozzle Extension
Examinethe hose connection to the spray gun and make
sure it issecure.Test the trigger by pressing it and making sure it"springs back" into placewhen you releaseit. Put the safety latch in the ON position and test the trigger.You should not be able to press the trigger.
Check In-Line Filter
Refer to Figure 10and service the in-linefilter if it becomes clogged,asfollows:
