01. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Trotec fans circulate larger quantities of air at a low speed. All models are equipped with a 3-bladed aluminium fan wheel with anodized, weatherresistant paint. The fan housing is manufactured of galvanized high speed steel in safety yellow, the wire protective grid is powder-coated.
02. SAFETY
• Make sure that the power source meets the electrical requirements of the fan.
• If possible, do not use an extension cable. If you have to use an extension cable nonetheless, please make sure that the cable has an appropriate crosssection in order to prevent the risk of overheating.
m Never use just one extension cable for the
simultaneous operation of several fans.
• Do not kink the cable and prevent contact with oil, grease, chemicals, hot surfaces or sharp and abrasive objects.
• This fan may ONLY be taken into operation with the designated protective grid. It is to keep people and objects from coming into contact with the fan wheel. Failure to comply with this stipulation leads to the instantaneous termination of the warranty and could pose a serious risk.
• Never poke your fingers or other items into the fan. Never block openings during operation and do not carry out any conversions or unauthorized modifications of the device. Never touch the motor. It can be hot, so touching it would result in injuries. Never use this device with non-contact control units in order to reduce the risk of electric shock or fire.
• The fan must ONLY be used for air circulation. It must not be used in potentially dangerous locations such as in combustible, explosive or chemically charged atmospheres. Never stick duct tape to the device.
• The fan motor is equipped with an automatic overheating protection, which interrupts the power supply as soon as the device begins to overheat. Before you remove the protective grid or work on the motor, always pull the power plug, for it cannot be ruled out that the device starts up unexpectedly.
• If a defect at the fan could cause property damage, we recommend the application of a suitable alarm system (air pressure switch, temperature sensor etc.).
• Never use the fan if its power cable or plug is damaged. In such an event dispose of the fan accordingly or bring it to an authorized specialist dealer for examination or repair.

Handwheel for the adjustment of the inclination angle
1. Loosen the handwheel.
• Then the inclination angle can be adjusted in both directions up to the stop.
m Never go past the stop bolts when adjusting
the fan position! Do not remove the stop bolts!
03. ASSEMBLY MANUAL

2. Place the device on level ground and carefully tilt it forward so that the tubular frame becomes accessible for mounting the wheels. .
3. Remove the screws from the wheel assembly.
4. Attach the wheel assembly to the bottom of the tubular frame by aligning the holes in wheel assembly and tubular frame.
5. Refit the screws.
m Make sure that the screws are tightened
correctly and do not get jammed.
6. Make sure that the wheels are running freely.
7. Then bring the device back into an upright position.
8. Remove the screws of the front feet.
9. Insert the front feet into the connecting pieces at the bottom by aligning the holes in the feet and tubular frame.

• Stage 1
• Stage 2
Rotary switch 0-1-2
Shutdown
1. Switch the device off by setting the rotary switch to position 0.
2. Pull the plug from the mains socket.
3. Clean the device according to the Care and maintenance chapter.
05. CARE AND MAINTENANCE
m Prior to any cleaning task, make sure that
the device is not connected to the mains or the power supply is interrupted otherwise.
Fan wheel, protective grid and motor should be cleaned at regular intervals in order to prevent an overheating of the device, but also to ensure failurefree operation.
If required during cleaning, remove the protective grid by unscrewing the eight screws and put it back in its original place after the work has been completed. Should the fan wheel be damaged, so not attempt to carry out any repair work. The fan wheel was precisely balanced at the factory and has to be replaced if damaged. The motor comes with permanent lubrication.
m Check that the fan wheel is installed in the
right direction of rotation as specified by the factory.
