Information about the device

Description of the device

The device operates on the desiccant principle, without compressor or cooling agent.
The fully automatic control and the condensation tank(6) with integrated overflow protection ensure fault-free operation.
The fan sucks in damp room air via the air inlet(4) with air filter(7), the condenser and the desiccant wheel located behind it.
Within the internal regeneration circuit the air is led via a heating element, it dries the desiccant wheel and leads the moist, warm air through the condenser. At the cooler condenser, heat is withdrawn from the room air and cooled below dew point. The water vapour contained in the room air precipitates in form of condensate. The condensate drops into the condensation tank(6).
The drier air, thus conditioned, is fed back to the room air via the air outlet(2). The drier air mixes with the air in the room. The relative humidity in the room where the device is positioned is reduced by the constant circulation of the room air.
A float is attached inside the condensation tank(6), which in case of a filled condensation tank interrupts the dehumidification. When switching off, the device emits a triple acoustic signal and the condensation tank indicator light on the control panel(1) is illuminated (see chapter Operating elements). The indicator light only goes out again once the emptied condensation tank(6) is reinserted.
The device was designed to reduce the humidity level in living and working spaces.

Transport

To make the device easier to transport, it is fitted with a carry handle.
Before transporting the device, observe the following:
Switch the device off.
– Due to the follow-up time of the internal components,
the device only switches off completely after approx. 2 minutes.
Hold onto the mains plug while pulling the power cable out of the mains socket.
Do not use the power cable to drag the device.
Drain the remaining condensate from the device and the condensation drain hose (see chapter Maintenance).
After transporting the device, observe the following:
Set up the device in an upright position after transport.
Leave the device to rest for one hour before switching it back on. Otherwise the device could be damaged and no longer work properly. Any warranty claims will be voided in this case.

Start-up

When positioning the device, observe the minimum distance from walls or other objects as described in the Technical data chapter.

Storage

Before storing the device, proceed as follows:
Drain the remaining condensate from the device and the condensation drain hose (see chapter Maintenance).
Empty and clean the condensation tank prior to storage.
When the device is not being used, observe the following storage conditions:
dry and protected from frost and heat
in an upright position where it is protected from dust and direct sunlight
with a cover to protect it from invasive dust if necessary
Place no further devices or objects on top of the device to prevent it from being damaged.
Before restarting the device, check the condition of the power cable. If there are doubts as to the sound condition, contact the customer service.
Set the device up in an upright and stable position.
Do not create tripping hazards when laying the power cable or other electric cables, especially when positioning the device in the middle of the room. Use cable bridges.
Make sure that extension cables are completely unrolled.
When positioning the device, keep a sufficient distance to heat sources.
Make sure that no curtains or other objects interfere with the air flow.
