2. About T-ROBOT
2.1. Characteristics of T-ROBOT
T-ROBOT is an intelligent manned robot operated by means of dynamically stable balance. With such characteristics as low carbon, environment friendly, fashion, intelligence, sport, leisure and safety, it will be the preferred travel tool in the future.
The most remarkable characteristic of T-ROBOT is that the function of in-situ steering is achieved. With the help of T-ROBOT, you can slide to the office every day and wander about the streets freely without worrying about the problem of being able to turn due to narrow space.
You can sit down or stand up when riding the T-ROBOT, which can meet different needs. The sitting way can
avoid the fatigue caused by long-time manipulation and the standing way can guarantee the wide field of vision and the great deterrent during security patrol.
The T-ROBOT adopts the fingerprint identification technology which is the most advanced in the industry, greatly improving its capability of guarding against theft.
The T-ROBOT adopts the most durable lithium-ion battery and runs up to 30km (it will be different depending on
the landforms, riding styles and loads) by each charging; meanwhile its battery requires a low maintenance cost and provides a long service life.
The T-ROBOT regards safety as the core and adopts the technology of dual redundancy, which means if failure occurs to a set of controller, the redundant controller will instantly replace the failed controller, ensuring that you enjoy the funs of riding T-ROBOT safely to the greatest extent.
2.2. Operating Principle
The operating principle of T-ROBOT is mostly based on a fundamental principle called the ‘dynamic stabilization’, i.e. the own automatic balancing capability of T-ROBOT. After the posture state of vehicle body is obtained with a built-in precision gyroscope and the proper command is calculated with a high-speed central microprocessor, a motor is driven to achieve the balancing. It is assumed that the longitudinal axis of general gravity center of the T-ROBOT and the driver standing on the vehicle is regarded as a reference line. If this axis tilts forward, the built-in electric motor inside the body of T-ROBOT will generate a forward moment so that the moment leading to forward overturn of person and car can be balanced on one hand and the speed for moving T-ROBOT forwards can be produced on the other hand. On the contrary, if the gyroscope detects that the gravity center of driver tilts backward, it will likewise generate a backward moment to achieve balancing effect. Therefore, as long as the driver changes the angle of his body to tilt forwards or backwards, T-ROBOT will move forward or backward depending on the tilting direction and its speed will be proportional to the tilting degree of driver’s body. Such an intelligent balance-maintaining capability of T-ROBOT is significantly different from the traffic tools which generally require drivers to reach the balance by themselves, such as scooter.

Note: the maximum running distance after full charging may be influenced by the following factors:
Landform: the smooth and flat surfaces increase the distance, while the upslope and bumpy grounds reduce
the distance;
Wind direction: the downwind increases the distance, while the upwind reduces the distance; Speed and riding style: the normal speed and intermediate speed increase the distance, while the frequent
startup and shutdown, acceleration and deceleration reduce the distance;
Inflation pressure of tire: the inflation pressure of tire less than the scope given in this manual reduces the
distance;
Load (including the rider and the cargo): the light load increases the distance; Temperature: the storage, charging and riding within the temperature scope recommended in this manual
increase the distance and the distance is reduced under lower temperature;
Battery: the proper storage, charging and maintenance increase the distance, while such improper behaviors
will reduce the distance.
2.4. Operation Limit
It is important for you to understand the operation limits of T-ROBOT. Your following of these limits can reduce the risks when you are riding T-ROBOT.
2.5. Weight Limit
For the purpose of enhancing your safety when you are riding T-ROBOT and reducing the risk of damaging
T-ROBOT, the weight limits mainly include:
5
1. Minimum weight limit: the rider must be heavier than 40 Kg mainly because the brake can not be functioning effectively by moving the gravity center of the rider when his weight is less than 40 Kg (especially on the downslope);
2. Weight limit for accessory case: the goods loaded in the left and right accessory cases shall not be heavier than 5 Kg and 3 Kg respectively, and the goods loaded in both accessory cases must be evenly distributed and fixed to prevent the moving of goods loaded in both accessory cases during the fast running of vehicle;
3. Maximum weight limit: T-ROBOT has passed the strict mechanical analysis and detection and exceeding the maximum load will damage your T-ROBOT.
Alarm: exceeding these weight limits may influence or reduce your safety coefficient together with other factors (heavy load, steep slope, bumpy road, high speed and fast mobility) and increase the risk of damaging T-ROBOT.

3. Components of T-ROBOT
Fig. 2 Composition of entire vehicle
3.1. Liquid crystal display(LCD)
Liquid crystal display is mainly used to display the various state data during operation, including fingerprint enrollment, power display, and alarm display. Note:
This LCD is not a touch screen, so please do not press it heavily.
3.2. Balance-enabled and Horn button
The startup button is mostly used for the startup in combination with fingerprint authentication. The major function of balance-enabled button is to enter into balance mode from system setup mode upon the startup. The horn button will be automatically changed over to the switch for horn after the balance mode is come into.
3.3. Function of Auxiliary brake button
The auxiliary brake button allows you to realize deceleration or auxiliary brake during normal running of T-ROBOT. Note:
Be cautious about using the auxiliary brake button under a low speed.
When running forward, the vehicle will slightly rise backward at braking. Pay attention to the centre of gravity.
When reversing, the vehicle will slightly depress forward at braking. Pay attention to the centre of gravity.
7
3.4. Fingerprint scanner (Optional)
The fingerprint scanner mainly serves for fingerprint collection.
3.5. Functions of knob switches
The knob switches are mostly used to realize abundant functions of the vehicle. The meanings of their individual icons are shown as follows:

The left neutral position is a non-functional position. Please set the knob switch to this position when other
functions are not used.
The right neutral position is a non-functional position. Please set the knob switch to this position when other
functions are not used.
It is used for fingerprint enrollment.
It is used for fingerprint deletion.
The alarm lamp position is the switch for alarm lamps.
The alarm lamp and whistle position is the switch for alarm lamps and whistle.

Note:
Before startup, please turn the knob switches on both sides to the neutral position.
The left and right knob switches can’t be turned over 360°. Don’t operate it roughly.
3.6. Shutdown button
The shutdown button and wireless shutdown button are mainly used to shut down T-ROBOT for energy saving after riding.
