Informationen zum Vorbild

Von der Baureihe 250 entstanden bei LEW Hennigsdorf
zwischen 1977 und 1984 insgesamt 270 Maschinen
für die Deutsche Reichsbahn. Die äußerst stabilen
Lokomotiven bewährten sich auf allen stark frequentier­ten Strecken der DR und bildeten bald das Rückrat des
schweren Güterzugverkehrs. Wegen ihres Aussehens
nannte man sie auch „Roter Container“.

Nach der Wende konnte die Baureihe 250 – bei der
DB AG nun als BR 155 bezeichnet - auch im Westen
überzeugen. Unter anderem stationiert im Bw
Nürnberg 2, kommt sie besonders auf der Franken­waldbahn sehr häufi g zum Einsatz.

Information about the prototype

Between 1977 and 1984, a total of 270 units of the
class 250 were built at LEW Hennigsdorf for the Ger­man State Railroad. These extremely sturdy locomo­tives proved themselves on all of the DR’s dense routes
and soon formed the backbone of the heavy freight
service. Their appearance gave them the name “Red
Containers”.

After the reunifi cation of East and West Germany,
the class 250 – now designated as the class 155 by
the DB, Inc. – was also able to show its talents in the
western part of the country. Based among other places
at Bw Nürnberg 2, it is used quite frequently on the
Frankenwald line.

Informations concernant le modèle réel

Built starting in 1974 Entre 1977 et 1984, 270 machines
de la série 250 ont été construites par la fi rme LEW
Hennigsdorf pour le compte de la Deutsche Reichs­bahn. Ces locomotives extrêmement solides ont révélé
leurs qualités sur les lignes très fréquentées de la DR
et ont rapidement formé l‘épine dorsale du transport de
marchandises lourd. Au vu de leur apparence, on leur
attribua vite le nom de „Conteneur rouge“.

Après la réunifi cation, des locomotives de la série
250, entre-temps dénommées BR 155 à la DB AG, ont
également convaincu les cheminots de l‘Ouest de leur
qualité. Garées entre autres au dépôt de Nürnberg 2,
elles sont très fréquemment mises en service sur les
lignes de la Frankenwaldbahn.

Van de serie 250 werden er bij LEW Hennigsdorf tussen
1977 en 1984 in totaal 270 machines gebouwd voor
de Deutsche Reichsbahn. Deze buitengewoon stabiele
locomotieven bewezen zich op alle drukke trajecten
van de DR en werden al snel de ruggengraat van het
zware goederenverkeer.

Vanwege hun uiterlijke verschijning noemde men ze
ook wel “rode container”. Na de val van de muur kon
de serie 250-bij de DB AG nu als BR 155- ook het
westen overtuigen. Ze zijn onder andere gestationeerd
in Bw Neurenberg 2 en worden daar bijzonder vaak
ingezet op de Frankenwaldbahn.
