At the heart of every Rocket III is a motor with a sound so distinct you can hear it a mile off. No other engine in the world growls like a triple. It’s assembled in the surgical surroundings of one of the most advanced factories in the world and continually refined by a Design and Development department that runs to over 100 people. Like everyone at Triumph, they live, breathe, eat and sleep the bikes.

To make innovative, exciting motorcycles, you have to have passion like this. Without it, you might as well make shopping carts. Talk to anyone from the factory; talk to the dealers; talk to Triumph riders - they love these bikes. And the Rocket III is the perfe ct expression of all that Triumph stand for: State of the art technology, stunningly delivered.
A personal Triumph

Why does this bike make everyone who rides it grin like a kid in a sweet shop?
Maybe because when you thumb the starter, you feel like you’ve just poked a bear with a sharp stick and you’re not sure if it’s going to eat you from the boots up. True, the Rocket III is a cruiser with astonishing performance but as soon as you ride it you realise that the luscious, inexhaustible flow of power from the triple’s 2.3 liter engine can be reined in with two fingers. That the low centre of gravity and composed riding position give you a fine sense of balance and control.
So, if you want to scorch along - scorch away. But if you want to hang in top, drop the revs to barely believable and proceed at a leisurely pace, you can do that too. And while we’re on about manners, a word about handling: The Rocket III s ails round corners that would make most cruisers twitch. Grin? You may find yourself laughing out loud.

This is the Rocket III for riders who like their thrills laced with a bit of chill. The torquey motor stays the same, the ergonomics change, making the Classic the perfect bike for those lazy, long haul trips. Bars are higher and pulled back further; you get footboards to stretch out on and the pillion gets a more generous seat. Almost yogic.
The low centre of gravity and light as a feather clutch make manoeuvring a breeze and the motor sounds gorgeous - 2294 cc gently massaging the vital organs of anyone you pass. That’ll be practically everybody then.
Thrill with chill

The silver-engined Classic Tourer is the classic Rocket III, accessorize d to make it the most complete, two-up touring machine in the range.
Standard accessories include a roadster style screen to maximize touring comfort, keeping monster bugs and the worst of the weather out of your face; full leather bags that swallow enough gear to take you clear across Texas and a sissy bar to make sure passengers and luggage stay tucked in snugly behind you.

The screen, sissy bar and luggage system are
standard items and are dealer fitted.

Rocket Boosters
A complete range of accessories is available to individualize your Rocket III. Like all Triumph accessories, they’re designed and tested in parallel with the bikes. Even then, they have to survive endurance testing on a track so hellish it reproduces 120,000 miles of riding in just two weeks. They also undergo thousands of miles at the hands of Triumph road testers in all types of weather. So next time you’re checking out a set of b ags or a screen, remember - they’re no more an afterthought than the chassis is.

Cruise lines
Riding a cruiser is different to riding a sports bike which is different to riding a classic bike.
You sit different. Your b ody position is different. Everything’s different – including the way you want to look. At Triumph, we design our own motorcycle clothing so that we can account for all these differences and get the look and performance that fit the Rocket III’s laid back riding style. This way you get clothing that’s as individual and stylish as your bike. Because we realize that even Rocket III riders aren’t permanently glued to their seats, we make some pretty cool casual stuff for wearing off the bike too.
