of the surge suppressor's plug. Do not use two-prong adapters with the surge suppressor's plug.
Specifications:p. 6
• Do not use mounting tab and screw (provided with select models) in Canada. Canadian regulations
prohibit permanent mounting of these surge suppressors. Use of the mounting tab in Canada will void
your insurance and warranty.

Quick Installation
Plug surge suppressor into a 3-wire,
1
grounded, 60 Hz.,120V electrical outlet.
• All models except the ULTRACOPY should be plugged into
standard NEMA 15-amp wall sockets.
• The ULTRACOPY must be plugged into a NEMA 5-20R 20-amp
receptacle.
Safety:p. 2
Optional: secure surge suppressor with
2
outlet's cover mounting screw.
• Screwing the surge suppressor to the outlet will prevent the unit
from being accidentally disconnected.
• The spring steel mounting tab on select models should be adjusted
until it is flush with the surge suppressor's rear, then screwed into
place.
Plug your electrical equipment into your

Basic Operation:p. 4 - 5
surge suppressor's outlets.
• You may safely connect a total load of no more than 15 amps
(20 amps for the ULTRACOPY model) to your surge suppressor.
• Your electrical equipment is now protected from AC surges on the
power line.
Fax/Data Line Connection
(ISOFAX & ULTRAFAX Models Only)
Connect a phone cord directly from
1
the telephone jack to the "IN" jack of
your surge suppressor.
• Your surge suppressor must be the first item in line from the
telephone jack for it to protect against surges on the fax/data line.
• Your surge suppressor can only protect against fax/data line
surges if it is properly connected to a grounded AC outlet.
Connect a phone cord from the device to be protected to the
2
"OUT" jack of your surge suppressor.
• ISOFAX models can protect TWO lines on one cable simultaneously. If you have an ISOFAX and
want to protect two lines that do NOT travel through one cable, you must use "Y" splitters
appropriate to your application to adapt them to your surge suppressor.
Coaxial Cable Connection
(ULTRACOAX Model Only)
Connect the source coaxial cable from its
1
wall jack to the "COAX IN" jack of your
surge suppressor.
• Your surge suppressor must be the first item in line from the
wall jack for it to protect against surges on the coaxial cable.
• Your surge suppressor can only protect against coaxial cable
surges if it is properly connected to a grounded AC outlet.
Connect a coaxial patch cord from the device to be protected to
2
the surge suppressor's "COAX OUT" jack.
Indicator Lights
Indicator light descriptions apply when the UPS is plugged into a wall outlet.
Protection Present (or unlabeled) (All Models)
This green LED will be lit so long as all the surge suppression components of your unit are intact and providing full
protection against spikes and surges. If it is not lit, the unit has lost part of its surge suppression capabilities and
should be returned for repair, though it is still usable and will provide limited surge suppression.
Line OK (Select Models Only)
This green LED lights up whenever 120V AC power is present with no wiring faults detected. It indicates that the
supplied power is safe for connected equipment.
Fault (Select Models Only)
This red LED lights up if the surge suppressor detects a wiring fault. The unit can detect if the phases are reversed,
the ground is missing, the receptacles are loose and other wiring faults, but cannot indicate every possible wiring
problem. If this LED lights up, contact a qualified electrician to repair your wiring.
This multicolored light displays 7 separate UPS battery charge conditions. It will turn from red (low) to yellow (medium)
to green (full) to show you the level of battery charge. If the light is constant, your UPS is operating from line power,
and the battery is charging. If the light is flashing, your UPS is operating from battery power, and the battery is
discharging. When the light flashes red, close any files you are working on and shut down your computer.
