The U457-025-G1-WPG lets you connect a SATA solid state drive (SSD) or hard disk drive (HDD) to any device with a USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 port, including a MacBook, Ultrabook, Chromebook, notebook, tablet or PC. It also helps you retrieve data stashed on old 2.5-inch SATA III, II and I drives up to 2 TB. It will also support higher SATA capacities as they become available.

Transfers Data at Fast USB 3.1 Gen 1 Speeds with UASP SupportThis adapter supports USB 3.1 Gen

1 data transfer rates up to 5 Gbps, which is 10 times faster than USB 2.0, to give you more data storage, retrieval and backup capacity. A blue LED indicates when drive data is being read, written or transferred. The U457-025-G1-WPG reads data up to 70 percent faster and writes up to 40 percent faster when connected to a UASP-enabled host controller. It is also backward compatible with previous USB generations, allowing you to use it with older equipment.

IP66 Rating Denotes Resistance to Dust and WaterThe IP66 rating means the SATA enclosure is not only 100% protected against dust, but also able to endure high-pressure jets of water from any direction with no damage or decline in performance.
