PAM-3
Power Accessory Module
®
SU6K or SU10K.
Safety:
• The PAM-3 features both 120V and 208/240V outlets. Make sure to connect equipment to receptacles of the correct voltage.
• A total load of 30 amps can be drawn from the PAM-3. When connecting equipment, take care not to exceed this current rating.
Connecting a PAM-3 to the Output of a SmartPro DataCenter or PAM-1
• Simply plug your PAM-3's NEMA L14-30P plug into the NEMA L14-30R output receptacle on the rear of your SmartPro DataCenter unit or on the front of your PAM-1.

Connecting a PAM-3 to the Output of a Unison SU6K or SU10K
WARNING: Before connection, make sure that your Unison system is OFF, that both input and output breakers are switched OFF and that the system is not connected to AC power.
(See Unison Owner's Manual.)
• Remove the PAM-3's input plug by loosening its strain relief, unscrewing and removing the plug's housing, detaching the power cord's four internal colored wires from their terminals and sliding off the plug.
• Strip an additional 1" to 2" of the outer (black) casing of the power cord away from the internal colored wires. Neatly shape the exposed metal ends of the four colored wires to eliminate loose strands.
• Slip the strain relief provided over the exposed end of the power cord, then thread the exposed end of the power cord through the knockout nearest the right of the Unison's terminal block.
• Connect the colored wires to the Unison's terminal block as shown below. The black cord can be connected for either 240V output or 208V output. Note: the desired output voltage MUST match the Unison's input voltage. (See Unison Owner's Manual.)
• Tighten the strain relief and affix it to the knockout.
(Note: This diagram shows the terminal block of a SU6kVA model. SU10kVA models have double connectors, but the wires are attached to the same terminals on both models.)
