Save Energy at Home and Office
Tripp Lite’s ECO Series UPS Systems are up to 99% efficient
and turn off designated ECO outlets when your computer is
turned off or goes into standby mode due to inactivity. This
feature eliminates “phantom loads”—idle peripherals that waste
electricity when they aren’t being used, even when they appear
to be off. ECO Series UPS Systems can save up to $50 on your
utility bill, conserve 470 kilowatt-hours of electricity and
reduce your carbon footprint by 630 pounds per year.*
* Estimate assumes 5% efficiency gain and 60W total phantom loads.
Protect Important Systems
Designed for desktop applications, ECO Series UPS Systems are
available in a wide variety of capacities to protect home and
office computers from downtime, damage and data loss caused
by power problems, including brownouts, blackouts, surges and
line noise. Reliable battery power keeps computers operating
through short blackouts and brownouts and allows enough time
to shut down safely during longer ones. Surge-protected jacks
protect telephones, fax machines, analog modems, DSL modems
and other communication hardware.

Shut Down Computers Automatically
All ECO Series UPS Systems have a USB port. Use with the
included USB cable and PowerAlert software (free download)
to save open files and shut down unattended computers
automatically during an extended blackout. PowerAlert
software waits for a user-specified length of time before
shutting down your computer safely.
Protect the Planet
Tripp Lite was an early supporter of
the RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous
Substances) directive and leads the
industry in RoHS compliance. RoHS
aims to improve environmental
conditions worldwide by strictly limiting
the use of six hazardous substances:
lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent
chromium, polybrominated biphenyls (PBBs) and polybrominated
diphenyl ether (PBDE). Tripp Lite manufactures hundreds of
RoHS-compliant products—including ECO Series UPS Systems—
which can be identified by the RoHS logo.

Energy-Saving Outlets
All outlets provide surge and noise protection. Battery backup outlets support connected equipment during power failures—connect critical components such as your computer and monitor to these outlets. ECO outlets work with the ECO energy saver feature—connect nonessential, intermittent-use peripherals (such as printers, scanners, speakers and external drives) to these outlets. The UPS system will save energy by automatically turning off the ECO outlets when it detects that your computer is turned off or in standby mode. (USB connection required; outlets function as standard surge/noise protected outlets when the ECO energy saver feature is disabled.) All outlets deliver superior power efficiency that reduces your electric bill, energy consumption and carbon emissions around the clock.
B
ECO Status LED
Green LED illuminates when the ECO energy-saving feature is enabled and flashes when the UPS system automatically turns off the ECO outlets.
C
ECO Control Switch
Enables/disables the ECO energy-saving feature.
D
ON/OFF/TEST Button
Provides convenient power control, load testing and battery testing.
E
UPS Status LEDs
Green ON/OFF LED illuminates when outlets are powered. Red OVERLOAD/CHECK BATTERY LED illuminates if the UPS system is overloaded and flashes if the battery needs recharging or replacement.
F
Tel/Modem Surge Protection
Blocks surges on a single phone, fax, dial-up or DSL line. Phone cable included.
