APPENDIX D: RATE CHANGE INFORMATION
D.1 RATE UPDATES
Triner updates USPS rate and structure changes. The rates and operating system
reside on one removable rate card.
When Postal Rates Change
To install your new Rate Chip:
1. Turn the scale off and unplug the adapter from the wall outlet. If the scale is connected to a
remote device, unplug that connection also.
2. The rate chip compartment is located on the right side of the scale. Most scales have a
stainless steel cover plate that protects the chip from theft. Remove this plate by removing the
two screws that hold it in place.
3. Use a small flat head screw driver and gently pop open the plastic rate chip cover plate.
4. Remove the rate card by grasping the edges and pulling towards you.
5. Insert the new rate card (The rate card can only be installed in one direction. If it does not fit
properly, turn it over and re-insert). Make sure the card is fully inserted into the slot.
6. Replace the Rate Chip Compartment cover(s).
7. Re-connect the adapter .
8. Your scale is now ready for use with its new, updated rates.

APPENDIX G: Riser and Lock Down Kit (LDK) Assembly
If your TS-70PX / Xi came with a Riser and LDK, follow these installation
instructions.
A. Gently turn the scale unit upside down. Remove the scales leveling feet. Locate the riser
(1037-X1A) and place it on the scale bottom plate aligning the four holes in the riser with
the four holes in the scales bottom plate (where the feet used to be). Using allen bolts
(1044-X1A), flat washer (1045-X1A), and lock washer (1046-X1A) secure the riser to the
scale bottom plate. Use the allen wrench (1053-X1A) to tighten the screws. Screw the
leveling feet that were removed from the scale into the four holes on the riser.
B. With the unit still upside down, you will see two threaded holes that go though the scale
base plate. Attach the J-bolt hangar (1059-X1A) using the hex bolts (1057-X1A) and lock
washers (1058-X1A). Tighten securely. See parts list for reference.
C. Referring to fig. 2., locate and drill the two 1/2” holes in the counter top, and insert the J-
Bolts (1043-X1A) into the J-Bolt bracket, making sure to hang the bolts off the back side
of the bracket.
D. With the J-Bolts hanging down from under the scale/riser, set the scale assembly in
place on the counter making sure the J-Bolts go through the holes that were drilled in
the counter.
E. To assist with obtaining a level position for the scale, view the level bubble on top of
the scale unit by removing the scale platform (use the enclosed hex wrench). Leveling
feet are shown in fig. 1.
F. Slide the Lock Bracket (1039-X1A) onto the J-Bolts as shown in fig. 1. Use hex flange
nuts (1050-X1A) and flat washer (1052-X1A) to secure tight against the counter fig. 1.
G. Slide the cap lock (1040-X1A) up onto the j bolts and fasten with pad lock (1055-X1A)
as shown in fig. 1.

To locate placement of the 1/2” holes to be drilled in the counter top:
1) After attaching the scale to the riser, place scale and riser in position on
counter top
2) Using a pencil, lightly trace an outline of the left rear corner of the riser, as
shown below. Set aside the scale/riser.
3) Measure 3 1/2” in from the back of the outline, and locate the first hole
5 5/8” in from the left side, then locate the second hole 1 3/4” in from the
first hole, as shown below.
Note that the J-Bolts must hang off the BACK SIDE of the J-Bolt mounting bracket in
order for the riser to mount in the position marked.
