Installation Instructions
Vault Backing Angle
Please read entire instruction before proceeding.
Improper installation will void any applicable warranty.
Cathedral ceilings framed with large
lumber tend to form cracks in the drywall
along the peak as the lumber shrinks. To
solve this problem attach the Vault Backing
Angle to the drywall at the peak. The Vault
Backing Angle keeps the two drywall
sheets together preventing cracks.
Cut your Backing Angle to length and install
with screws. Attach the drywall to the Backing
Angle every " between framing16"-24
members. If your screw goes into the framing
the product will not function as intended. Keep
your field screws at least 18" away from the
Backing Angle. Finish your inside corner as
you normally would.
