How It Works

The Super Seal Tear Away is our professional commercial
quality Tear Away with a / " round flexible gasket fused to
one side. The gasket compresses upon installation to form a
permanent seal that effectively reduces sound transmission,
replaces caulk, and provides structural relief at the panel
perimeter. Super Seal Tear Away is co-extruded using UV
resistant rigid and flexible PVC.

Installation

For optimum performance, leave a / " gap between the edge
of the drywall and the opposite substrate. Use a / " piece of
plywood or drywall as a gauge to ensure a consistent gap. To
install the bead, spray the bead and then the drywall with

Trim-Tex 847 Spray Adhesive mmediately apply to the, then i
drywall. Use the FREE installation tool to push the flexible

gasket into the gap. Staple the mud leg every 6" with
divergent staples. To improve the strength and workability of
your drywall compound, be sure to use Trim-Tex Mud-Max,
stock # 850. The flexible gasket contains a UV stabilizer and
does not need to be painted. Otherwise, be sure to use a high
quality paint.

Common Applications

Common applications include finishing drywall to metal
windows where thermal expansion would normally cause a
crack in the drywall. The bead can also be used against the
ceiling on a partition wall to help prevent drywall cracks due to
structural settling.

Como Funciona

El Super SealTear Away es nuestro Tear away con una extremidad
flexible fundida en la parte lateral. La extremidad se comprime al
ser instalado formando un sellado permanente que reduce la
transmisión del sonido, reemplaza el silicón y provee protección
estructural en el perimetro.

Instalacion

Para instalarse, aplique pegamento en aerosol 847 de TRIM-TEX
a la extremidad donde se aplica elcompuesto y posteriormente a el
drywall, use la herramienta gratuita para precionar el gastket en el
canal. Engrape cada 6" con grapas divergentes de ½". Para un
máximo rendimiento por parte de su compuesto, use MUD-MAX,
inventario # 850.

Si se espera más de ¼” de compresión, instale el producto a una distancia apropiada de la superficie y aplique silicón. Un
