ATTEMPTING TO INSTALL, OPERATE OR SERVICE THIS FAN. FAILURE
WARNING:
GENERAL SAFETY INFORMATION
TO COMPLY WITH INSTRUCTIONS COULD RESULT IN PERSONAL INJURY AND/OR PROPERTY DAMAGE. RETAIN INSTRUCTIONS FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
There is a risk of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons.
1. Your AQUACOOL fan will operate only on 115 Volt AC, 60Hz (cycle) current with a minimum of a 15 Amp circuit.
2. WARNING: To guard against electric shock while the fan is connected to power source, DO NOT PERMIT fan to come in contact with other grounded objects such as pipes, radiators, ranges
3. DO NOT ABUSE POWER CORD. DO NOT pull on cord to remove from electrical receptacle. Keep cord away from heat, oil and sharp edges. Inspect cord periodically and replace if damaged.
4. Disconnect the fan when not in use, before servicing and cleaning and when repairing or replacing parts.
5. DO NOT move the fan when connected to power source. Be sure switch is in “OFF” position prior to connecting to power source.
6. Use of this fan with an extension cord is not recommended. If the AQUACOOL is used with an extension cord, use only cord of proper size (Amp rating), UL listed and with receptacle to accept three prong grounded plug furnished on the fans power cord. Only round jacketed extension cords should be used.
7. Before operating this fan, check for worn or damaged parts and replace or repair as required. To avoid risk of fire, electrical shock or other injury, disconnect from power source before servicing.
8. DO NOT operate the AQUACOOL near flammable liquids or in gaseous or explosive atmospheres as sparks from motor may ignite fumes.
9. If the pads or wire guards are removed, replace before operation.
10. In case of power failure, turn off the fan at switch. This will prevent motor burn out and/or unexpected restarting.
Assembly instructions
1. Remove pallet straps.
Note: Minerals found in some water supplies may cause bubbles to form. If you experience a
2. Remove metal guard located above evaporative cooling pads.
3. Remove center cooling pad by gently pulling pad out- ward. Additional pads may be removed to allow more access to inside of fan.
4. Check pump for upright position.
5. Check spray bar and splash guard for proper alignment. (see Manual)
6. Replace cooling pads, inserting center pad last. 7 . Attach metal guard over cooling pads and tighten screws.
8. Attach water hose to unit and turn on water supply.
9. Turn on pump to begin water flow.

bubbling problem after unit is in operation, flush unit of all water and refill reservoir. Cooling pads should become accustomed to these minerals and cease to bubble. If problem continues or is excessive, add a bio-guard anti-foaming agent to reservoir, which is available at most swimming pool supply stores.
DO NOT USE DETERGENT IN UNIT!
OPERATING PROCEDURES
WARNING:
MAINTENANCE
1.
Connect standard size water hose to water supply.
2. Connect water hose to 3/4 inch adaptor on unit and allow reservoir to fill to capacity. Water flow will automatically shut off at proper level.
3. Align splash guard (curved semicircular pipe located above spray bar).
4. The spray bar should distribute water flow in an upward vertical direction. To adjust the spray bar, gently turn until the bar is angled upward 2-6 degrees facing intake side of cooling pads. In the correct position, the splash guard and spray bar are designed to provide maximum water coverage over the cooling pad surface.
5.
Turn on pump switch and allow to run for 2-3 minutes.
6.
Turn on fan switch to begin air circulation.
7. When not in use, turn off pump and fan switches, then drain water from reservoir.

ALWAYS disconnect unit from electrical source prior to performing maintenance.
Use of Heavy Duty electrical cord (no lighter than 12/3) and shorter than 25 feet is advised.
DO NOT USE DETERGENT IN UNIT!
Cooling pads for this evaporative unit are cross-fluted with an intake and discharge
REMEMBER:
side. They are directional, and are clearly marked with arrows to show proper vertical and horizontal installation.
When removing pads for maintenance, such as cleaning the interior of unit, always:
1.
Disconnect all sources of electricity from unit.
2.
Remove screws from metal guard located above pads.
3.
Remove center pad first and then remaining pads.
4.
When reinstalling pads, insert right and left pads in unit.
Center pad is inserted last.
With proper care, cooling pads will last 3 to 5 years. If unit is used on a daily basis, pads should be dried each day. Drain sump and replenish with fresh water before reusing.
To Remove Water from Sump Area (Flushing)
1.
Turn unit off.
2.
Remove cap located below water intake hose.
3.
Turn on pump. Pump will remove water from sump.
If purging water into a drain:
1.
Connect hose to fitting where cap was removed.
2.
Remove center pad to access shutoff valve on spray bar.
3.
Turn valve to "OFF" position.
4. Turn on pump and pressure will be diverted to drain hose.
5. When water is completely removed, turn shut-off valve to "ON" position.
Pads should be fully dried every 24 hours during periods of continuous use. This will discourage growth of algae. Watch for dry streaks on intake side of pads. If they are observed, disconnect from electrical source, remove pads and spray bar and disassemble. Clean spray bar and properly reinstall. Reassemble unit and check for proper water distribution.
Proper water distribution is the single most important means of prolonging pad life. The water will flush away dirt and contaminants which may be harmful to the pad. Areas "starved" for water will be the first to clog or soften. Do not turn off water during operation. Water flow must be maintained at a constant rate.
Evaporative cooling pads are designed to use a recommended quantity of water flow for maximum performance. Your AQUACOOL cooling unit is built in accordance in these standards. This water flow will provide a protective surface on the pad. Only a small portion of the water will evaporate, the rest will serve to flush a clean pads during operation.
Completely dry pads daily to curb algae growth. Clean and flush sump on a
PAD INSTALLATION
regular basis - at least 1- 2 times per week of heavy use.
In order to get the best performance from your cooling pads, they must be installed properly.
Pads must always be installed with the steeper flute angle sloping down toward the air
entry side. The steeper angle puts more water on the hot, dry side of the pad where it is
needed most. this counteracts the tendency for air to push the water toward the back of the pad.
